  • @malk103 Only a Sensei?? I currently hold a 3rd Dan and I would never see myself as a Master, however I have dedicated myself to martial arts and like to think we "Sensei" bring more than just a title, if he sees his Sensei as his Master then good on him, I'm glad he believes in his teachings, but if you practice long enough then you'll understand we all travel down different paths and one day open his eyes to different teachings or at least a different point of view. Only time will tell. Thank

  • @pbutton1 The title of Sensei is very important. Being Sensei is not only to pass a student or kata on karate basics. But also convey the soul of the same Karate. Sure it's great to hear from people who tell Sensei, translated is Teacher. So from a first degree to the maximum of the degrees is Sensei.

  • very good

  • @academiadragaopnn He is one of the great masters of Shotokan Karate-do.

  • There is nothing wrong with this Shotokan Kata, there are plenty of people who have slight differences, I don't think there are any "mistakes" being made by a 10th Dan who has dedicated his life to Karate.

Plus - a 3rd Dan is not a Master! Only your Sensei.

  • His back heels are up when he does punches low blocks and kicks, his yamaia is weird, and my sensaei says no heels up! No offense

  • @DontStopSing Would have to do as you do your Sensei, from me to say that Shihan Hirokazu Kanazawa is a very respected, has brought books, videos and more especially the Shotokan Karate-Do. I do not think a mistake in the execution.

  • @dvdmillenium I did not say that I didn't respect him, he just made minor mistakes in the video. He is very very well respected

  • @DontStopSing stfu faggot who u think u r some kung fu master? DIPSHIT u aint shit how dare u say he made mistakes in this vid hes a 10th dan and hes very good and one of the best of all show some respect i bet u suck at sparring and fighting haha i bet anybody would drop ur ass.

  • i like his version better. I learned this poomsei years ago under a korean moo duk kwan master and its much different than this one. I dont know why they have to be different lol but since this is a karate shotokan form i will assume this is the right way, the way it was meant to be.

  • my master is at 3rd dan but this guy is just awesome and my my master is gonna teach us bassai dai in the winter and im just an orange belt we have a mix of orange green and green whith blue stripe and ofcourse green and orange with stripes as well

  • This is a great performance. You don't find many people like Kanazawa today.

  • osss

  • osu !

  • dvdmillenium, good day sinsei, in our art, we call that kata, pasai so.. -okinawan student- "bow'' ozz

  • He's probably one on the greatest masters of shotokan. Balance is perfect, movements are perfect, he seems like a river flowing with no breaks and no pauses... simply amazing.

  • my teacher trained with this guy many times this is the right way to do bassai dai the new way is just a way to make money if you look at the bumkai for the knew way you would see why it is so pointless

  • I agree with you LUischem, he is not some "guy". I wish I could be half the martial artist he is.

  • THIS GUY??!! THIS GUY??!! He's one of the great masters who take shotokan into his hands after master Funakoshi, but of course, when the master is gone, the variations come, there are two great "styles" in shotokan, SKIF and JKA, both influenced by Kanazawa and Nakayama, in both there are singular differences but both are correct

  • this version is similar to the one i know but there are some differences, maybe its the style the guy is doing it in, what style is it anyway?

  • this style is shotokan SKIF, the other style that you said is shotokan JKA

  • @kickassquatch I'm pretty sure its Shotokan
