Liberos aren't just used to come in for middles. That's what they are most commonly used for though. I've seen them come in for outsides too.

liberos can serve in college, but they can only serve for 1 of the 2 middles(they cant serve for both). the only time they cant serve is in club vb and im pretty sure they cant serve in highschool (not positive)

yeah- they changed that rule in my region for club.

now the libero can serve for a middle. but outside of our region (like at qualifiers)

they cant. And in my first comment i most definately meant they CAN serve.

Happened to me a lot too, sometimes it does hurt. I got my glasses broke i half from a spike in the face....then i got contacts lol. I've had it hit my face and keep the rally goin, and I've hit guys in the face and had the rally keep going. I prefer digging with my arms though, lol.
