@Breedo After thinking about the case I agree with you... If I were the Zodiac I would try to find someone who seemed suspicious and learn about them. If I could keep tabs on them I could frame them. I would frame someone and use there background against them, i would plant evidence and be extra careful about it. I think it's the only way he (the zodiac) could have gotten away with it. That or Arthur was working with a partner who wrote licked and sent the letters but I think that's unlikely

No one knows really, all that's for sure is that he's dead and that he proved to us that a serial killer can exist without being caught and noticed by the police. I don't think the main suspect where the real Zodiac. The real zodiac was far too, dangerous and high minded to waste his time disecting animals, as a matter of fact I think he'd found that kind of occupation pathetic.

Ya, but the main suspect, Arthur Leigh Allen, had two .22 caliber pistols, the same kind the zodiac used on a couple of the murders. And, he owned an M1, the same kind the zodiac said he'd shoot school children with.

Perhaps he where just a sick interested fan of chase. Since it involved his favorite book, he could might as well have bought it at an later point if he wanted just to imitate the zodiac. I know there are things pointing towards that guy being zodiac but there's no solid proof and I believe Arthur Leigh Allen was definately NOT Zodiac.

@Breedo Plus the evidence they have (most of it) was fictionalized from Robert Graysmith's highly fictional accounts of the events and is unfair. Allen died an innocent man who, for the better part of his adult life, was under an irrational magnifing glass.

@Breedo After thinking about the case I agree with you... If I were the Zodiac I would try to find someone who seemed suspicious and learn about them. If I could keep tabs on them I could frame them. I would frame someone and use there background against them, i would plant evidence and be extra careful about it. I think it's the only way he (the zodiac) could have gotten away with it. That or Arthur was working with a partner who wrote licked and sent the letters but I think that's unlikely

@SuperPolytheist Or the police simply got too fixated with looking at the wrong suspect. Police have been sloppy before. I think the only way zodiac could have survived is through not becoming a suspect in the chase. About the idea of several people working to create the zodiac that would be unusual, not impossible but as you said unlikely. .

@SuperPolytheist Arthur had issues but would the real serial killer really feel the desire to disect animals when he's gone to the lengths of killing humans. Like I've said before zodiac would find the hobby of disecting animals very dull and pathetic, besides zodiac is not a slasher like Dahmer, he's an excecutioner a orderly man of chaos, he likes killing but I see no proof he's interested in their insides, then he would have taken a whole different style.

@Breedo Yeah the only thing that doesn't make sense though is that one of the victims identified Arthur as the killer. Other than that the evidence is circumstantial. Arthur was sadistic. But one of the murders seemed sadistic to me. The third murder where the victims were stabbed multiple times. Whoever Zodiac is probably was extremely intelligent and went to extreme lengths. Maybe he fashioned a mask of Arthur's face for the second murder.

@SuperPolytheist Okay I know of that incident but you're betting shot and then you tell yourself the face that look the most like him has to be him. On a different note you're probably scared while getting shot and very bitter afterwards wanting justice, those two emotions can affect you. Arthur looked very regular in some ways. But he must be far more smarter then he looked and acted cause to survive under a microscope without getting caught. How do one do that? What about the need to kill?

Jack Tarrance died in Seguin, TX i think about the year 2004. he lived in a trailer park on Nelda St. in Seguin, TX. his daughter still lives there. but the total truth will not be known until DNA results on the daughter and the knife comeback from the FBI
