I think if people are gonna be a jerk on youtube to someone trying to cover an amazing song, they should keep their comments to themselves. I think you have a good voice, but this might not be the best song for you to cover. I think that the more covers you try the more likely you will find the band you are best at singing too. Or you could always just make your own. :)

When you first started singing I could hear a slight delay in your voice and that of the song; then i saw your eyes moving sideways constantly and figured you were reading the lyrics. If you want to do a good cover, learn the lyrics so you don't have that pause in between you and the song, and you can consentrate more on how you are feeling, not what you are reading.
