You will need to purchase melt and pour soap. Regular soap will not work. And yes, to the alcohol. It removes any surface air bubbles created while stirring & pouring leaving a nice smooth soap surface.
It was assumed that you were making the cupcake soaps since this is where you posted your comment. We still advise using rubbing alcohol with melt and pour soaps. Without it, you will have surface air bubbles due to stirring and pouring. It's a fairly standard soaping aid when working with MP soaps.
im wondering if the rubbing alchohol is very important or you dont need to use it nessesary......because im beginer at this and i never really made my own soap ...please answer me quick!!!
