@joe18370 Yes my battery ran out and it takes thirty minutes to charge so when this happened there was no time to retake the video. I have a large 72 cell panel that I made I do this same procedure. you can watch. Look through my up loads for lg 72 cell panel and you will find it. Sorry. look underneath for bubbles then, you want to push on the cell with the paint brush after the encapsulation has had time to soften it up a little and start in front of bubble and work it out.

I hope this is not epoxy resin you're using. Epoxy is not UV proof and will turn yellow in the sun blocking the light for a %. That is why the epoxy should not get in front of the cells.
@shartne Nice! I love these kind of projects! Until I found 200 Watts panels for less then 200 bucks each. All of a sudden it was financially not wise anymore to put so much time in building the panels myself other then the fun of being able to do it....
Why are you worrying about air bubbles? They won't affect anything, will they? I worry about them when making a dielectric for a capacitor but your just doing sealing. Thanks for pointing out this technique, by the way. I'm anxious to hear how this encapsulation turns out and if any got on the front of the cells.
Its ok to have it on the front that is what you try to shoot for the most If you could just get a thin coat on the front and Back you could use a cheaper Backing for the panel the clear encasulation is a little $ cost But the White works about the same for half the price I am in the testing of this at this time You need the Clear solar cells encasulation on the front for sure little on the top then you add the white My website solarcells101
@shartne I have a whole series on how to make these did you watch it. 14 videos from start to finish. "How to make a solar panel that will last for thirty years Part 1"
very short video
