  • you can also use poufs to pad out aeras of a dress that needs to be puffy, like petticoats in a victorian-style dress

  • It's actually Finito!

  • i recommend to use colors that work together like the fabric underneath all black. and as for the "poof" black and pink, black and blue, black and yellow. any of these would have given the dress more appeal.

  • amazing! I'm definitely going to try some rendition of this : ) Thanks!

  • that's a great idea to make the smoke monster from Lost!

  • i would only do that with newly bought lufas and even then... wouldnt it be more cost effective to just but a dress

  • thats a dress made with dead skin

  • This is a fun idea! I think I would buy a few black bath poufs and maybe use half their width so they are a bit more subdued :-) I am still concerned people will say 'are you wearing.... bath poufs?' though.

  • DID YOU ACTUALLY WEAR THAT OUT ??

  • i wouldn't wear it , did u sterilize them if so how?

  • not a dress I'd wear...

  • @Bccaundefined Thats a great way to put it XD

  • Very cute, and I like the colour scheme, but then again I love bright stripes. I don't think it's gross...you can wash the poufs and they'll be fine. If it's 'gross' to wear one that's been cleaned, I can only assume you refuse to use one in the shower after only one use! I hope nobody washes their tender bits with one, either...that would hurt. lol

  • old bath poufs....??? o.O

  • ew.. I wash my butt with a bath poof and therefore dont wanna wear it.

  • This was really cool!

  • Not flattering

  • the pouffs can be desinfected, so no problem with that... the problem is that it looks like a rumba dress.Maybe if she hadn't use all those colours, just colours that matched, and not ALL over the dress, like just to make ruffles and accents, it would've looked better... and yes, a zipper would've been great. o.o

  • Its not so bad but:

    1. Ew! Old bath poufs have bacteria!

    2. It would be itchy!

    3. The top would have been cuter left plain.

    4. I think it would have looked better if you had onlu use one or two colours.

    5. The back should be a ziper, buttons, or a real corset.

  • Great idea!

  • it dosnt look that bad, th idea of it is just.. odd i suppose

  • who'd want to use old bath poofs as a dress?

    Theyve been in.. uhm, places..

  • front is cute but back would look better with zipper or corset sewn to the top of the dress

  • eh, it's a cute idea, and I guess the front looked nice for what you were trying to accomplish, but the BACK.... it needed some work :/

  • .... fa schifo!!!ho sprecato 3.33 del mio tempo....

  • its a really cool idea. maybe just to improve upon it a bit, i would probably use a single color (in a neutral tone like black or white and only do it as a skirt)

  • wtf

  • its not so bad.

  • I made a tutu like this !

  • very neat and it can be washed. =)

  • hey where did u get that body form?!?!?! ive been looking for one like that! bty that was a very creative dress!

  • @sewmommysew i think they made an episode about how to make a body form...

  • very flattering

  • that was cool

  • craziest idea ever

  • you rock that poof

  • its a fluffa

  • It's a very creative idea, and I would totally do it, if only there were an absolutely certain way to sterilize those poufs. Just think about everything you washed with those poufs...

  • @honeybunny2003mm you could buy them and go straight to using them for the dress, that's what I would do anyway..not sure how much the cost would come out to be though, i've never bought one!

  • Unique, not so sure on the dress though. ;)

  • I actually really like that dress.

Not sure I'd do the back the same, but i thought it was really pretty!:DD

  • Thats really gross and ugly. Why would you post that?

  • great idea! how cool is that, im gonna try it.

  • hmmm i think i may use this to make a tutu ... but i will but a new poof >.>

  • haha I was wondering if this could be made just yesterday .haha.

  • I like it.

  • emmm.... maybe if all the bath poufs were the same color. like blue. but the rainbow effect is a bit much.

  • yes but no!

  • love it gurl! Id totally rawk that dress!

  • casperella8

yep, I would too! Thats a hot dress.

  • so crative thank u

    its so cool

but i think that, this tipe of dresses are for skinny people and im not like that. uu

    but its nice

  • el proyecto finalizado

  • i would totally wear it.

  • @punkprincess1197 wow harsh jeez and when your trying to ofend someone plz don't start with ummmm

    gosh what a biatch

  • cute creative..not soo hot in the back..idk if id ever wantt to wear it out but cool idea!

  • creative but......yea

  • i dont like it

  • thats actually really cool... i mean i wouldnt wear it but i LOVE the idea and how it looks in the end :)

  • am i the only person who thinks it looks like shit?

  • Nope.

  • not me.

  • not me Either!

  • nope!

  • im thinking about getind dress form for christmas and idk what to get.....i need hel!!!!!!!

  • Interesting, a bit too much of the pouf, I would just put a few interestingly colored ones along the bottom, not even all the way up the skirt. And you need to learn how to finish the back a little better. It's uneven. Also, definitely clean, new bath poufs. Old ones are just...gross.

  • Cute!

    But they're called "loofahs" ;)

  • wow..i dont think i wouldve EVER thought of that!its definitely very creative and unique! magnifique!!!

  • I think I'd only put one on the bottom. But that's just me. I wouldn't cover the whole thing in them.

  • @fangirl8392 i agree just the bottom, it doesnt look right all over

  • @scousechick87 Yeah, it's weird looking.

  • it's called a LOOFA, not a "bath pouf"

  • actually, loofas are naturally grown sponges. idk what you would call what she's using.

  • everyone i ever met called it a loofa.

  • well, you can google it if you want, lol. it's pretty cool, i want one of those trees :)

  • actually, I think LOOFAHS more specifically refer to the longer shaped ones. Type both into google and check out the results.

  • I like the way the dress looks, and I might wear it if it was the right occasion. But I would put a zipper in the back instead. And I would just buy new bath poufs or some of that crinkly fabric instead, using old ones is kind of gross.

  • Wow.That's tacky if I've ever seen it.There's recycling and creativity...and then there's just trash and bad hygiene.

  • its " el projecto"

  • I love it.. very cute and original.. But I would definitely put a thicker inner lining.. so i dont have to feel like I am wearing a bath poof :P

  • cute but not my style!

  • Um.

I guess the dress is OKAY, but I would never wear a dress made out of bath poufs. They have fabric just like that at Joann's, for about 41 cents a yard. I think I'll just splurge for the fabric.

  • errr , thats disgusting

  • Looks like a beggar cloth! awfull!! I'm so sorry!

  • i love her body form! its super cute.

the video quality is pretty bad and the front is super cute

    but the back really isn't.

  • thts cute i prob wouldn't wear in public but its cute thou

  • this dress quite cute but wearing it is a big problem

  • Interesting idea, but I can't imagine wearing something like that out of the house.

  • So cute! I like how she used yellow, pink, and blues together, very eye popping. You could recycle your bath poofs, but of course disenfect them first. To be perfectly honest though, they are like less than a dollar at department stores, so I'd go there, by ten pretty colors, then bam...got my project.

  • dont be mean, if you see something that you just dont like, then say it in a POLITE way, stop being rude and grow up!

  • that's so creative!

recycled things are really in right now :)

  • amazin"

  • cuteeeee!

  • "El proyecto"

  • this is a really cute dress I never thought about useing those bath poofs before and they always break on me, you could just do the skirt part and flip it inside out and youd have a poofy skirt without them showing :D I hope someone likes my idea haha

  • Hahaha yeah I thought about that too! The only thing is that you'd have the stitching show... but maybe you could do that in rainbow colors! :-D

  • that's so awesome!

    i'm so gonna try that!

  • cute concept...the dress not so much, to many odd colors for me, but great idea. thanks

  • I heard those poofs are ideal for bacteria growth; cute idea in theory; its just icky if you were using used bath poofs.

  • bacteria growth......when they've been used.

  • you can always put them in disinfectants! :D

  • I love this dress... it is SO cool!

  • this has given me great inspiration. thanks. would never have thought of using bath poufs.. and I have to admit when I read what it was about I though.. what on earth..?

but yeah, great creativity! well done!

  • I don't like it, but I love the creativity!!

  • Me too. Maybe they should just use the poufs on the bottom part... to create sort of a tutu dress. and the closer the strips of pouf are together, the puffier the dress will be.

Damn now I want to do that lol XD

I'm going to crave this dress for weeks and someone's prolly gonna beat me to it... or already has lol

  • eh-my-gawd! this is ah-dorable! i usually dont like the DIY things on threadbanger but i am actually considering this one but i think it would be cuter if you didnt put the poufs on the bust area.

  • thats so clevr"

  • clever***

  • thats hot!

  • I don't really like the poufs that are added on, but this is very useful for a basic dress.

    :]

  • I agree.

  • whoops I posted that before I noticed iAmBrendaLee said basicly the same thing!

  • Cool you can slough the dead skin off your elbows at the same time you are attending your friends wedding. ;-0

  • the only thing gross about this project is if you use your old poofs they will be full of your dead skin...nasty... Maybe I would pick some up at the dollar store.

  • Put them in the sink with some water and alcohol and swish them around a bit. Then poof! Your poufs are clean.

  • Cute idea :D

  • wow!!!

that is a luvly dress :D

  • That is very creative and adorable.

  • Wouw its nice =D

    I gonna try it (A)

  • The great thing about that dress is it exfoliates your arms as you walk.

Hmm...not sure how comfy that'd be. Looks cute though.

  • Holy wow. That's awesome!

  • where did she get that kind of mannequin?

  • I saw one at a fabric store.

  • where?

  • They have a tutorial on how to make one yourself somewhere on here ^^

  • oh yeah i saw it

  • oh really thanks for lettin me know

  • Way too cute!

  • Cuuute dress.

  • that was awesome!! I'm goin to make a skirt like that.

  • That is adorable. D:

  • sweet, they have bath poufs at the dollar store. I think I might try to get 6 of the same color, though.

  • omg I think thats adorable

    ^_^

  • i love it but im majorly confused dude

    ://

  • where do you get those kind of mannequins?

  • mmm i was going to ask the same thing xD i guess you could try looking on eBAY for them? there are lots on there =)

  • Joanns, ebay, other craft stores. :)

  • damn

i gotta make me one of these thanks for the tutorial!

  • CUTE THO

  • it looks so itchy.. D:

  • this is great

  • i think that's pretty cute (:

  • It looks a bit couture from afar. It could be executed better like the ruffled poofs could be put closer together.

[But I think the dress without the poufs looks better than the dress with poufs.]

It's innovative and a good use of poufs if you don't mind using old poufs that can be worn out and limp and gross if not washed properly.

    Good idea though!

  • uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

  • This dress is ugly and I wouldn't want to wear it. UGH! I'd much rather get some great tulle and make a real dress!

  • that's cool i'd definatly do it if would be confident enough to wear a dress but i dunno would i use used bath poufs:D

  • final product looks like a total disaster

  • totally agree.

This could have looked so much better.

  • Well, I wouldn't make it out of old, USED poofs. But it's really adorable and I would make like three whole dresses with some NEW poofs.

    yay! :D

  • that would be a great shirt, i think im gonna trie it but not put the poofs on the chest part (and add thick straps)

  • awesome!!!

  • It is very creative. I kinda don't like though :(

  • honestly im not the type of girl who could pull it off but it was cute! and i could make one 4 my 3 year old!! ty!

  • Maybe somebody can do one on how to recycle an old dress in to bath scrubbies. ;-)

  • I guess you could do the same thing with lace or ruffles. You can overlap any fabric so for those calling it ugly... get creative and do your own things.

    GOOD JOB :)

  • That was soo cool! :O

  • very creative! very recycley!i love it! i'm thinking it would look really cool too as like a poufy skirt! lately i've been seeing this whole overlapping strips of fabric on another really frequently! i think i gotta do it now!

  • lol 'how to destroy your bath pouf'

    cute dress

  • Oh! If you don't want to use used bath pouffs, they're usually available from dollar stores for super-cheap. :0)

  • I love the "how to kill your bath pouff" graphic! LOL!

  • that was a chunk of genious

  • aww! that was soo cute! can't wait to see more!

  • interesting.. but if they're old, why would you want to make it into a dress? unless you don't use your poofs very often. i've heard of them getting moldy and even if you washed it, i don't know how much i'd want to wear it.. good idea, though! =)

  • Cute! Good Idea but I would not wear that in public.

  • How many poofs did you use...the more I think about it, the more I want to make it!!!

  • that dress is so cute!!

    *considers making it*

  • that is EXACTLY how i felt. i'm just wondering if I could pull it off!!

  • that was fricking awesome. Now I wish i had some bath poofs!

  • Awesome.

  • love it! very creative!
