few tips here... star 1 on jolly bay you don't need to get hit by it.. swim infront of it and then just swim to the cave and then back. saving hp star 2 on jolly bay if you wait above the eel when he;'s comming out just before the star appears swin down and you should get it much faster

@nintendomanofgod riding the shell is simple... just get close to it and press the B button. or whatever button on the classic controler = punch.... if you activate the cannon before when you did you can jump into it and fire right away then as soon as you land on the ship jump off allowing a quicker access to the middle.exactly why i do not do the stars in orderyou do not need to go to the cave. it is faster to blast to the area with the switch and long jumping as close to the star as possible
