It took me about 5 years to get my floyd rose to where I can tune it once and it'll stay. (That's right, same strings) It only comes out of the box for solo's.

@aroi70 If it hums even through a power conditioner, try adding a noise gate to your setup - it sounds like actual interference not regular 60Hz hum. Also, plug it in to a wall in a different room (i.e. a different circuit) and see if you get the same hum. Also, make sure it's not next to anything giving off EMI like your computer, or a fan, etc...

If it's real bad, you may even have a bad power supply.
