  • Sounds Like George Harrison playing the melody thorigh a Leslie

  • Love this and Def Leppard's version.

  • @h0minid25

Def Who? No comparrision! Sorry 'bout the spelling.

  • @TheMustangsally75 Are you being serious. Please tell me you've heard of Def Leppard. I'm not saying it's better, I love this. But I also like their version.

  • No it was George Harrison's prodigy

  • @mariofanatic101 i believe lennon/mccartney wrote this & their other biggest hit "Come & Get It"

  • It sounds NOTHING like The Beatles ....just a awesome band and I am amazed I never heard of these before...lol I thought I knew all the great old bands....this is da most sick song I heard in ages...Bad Finger = kickin shit ....pity the song aint faster....it sound badly produced , pity they had shit studio equipment in the old days...but whoa ...a fakin awesome band =)

  • This is one of those sings you can't help singing along out loud ... with an air guitar, head banging and throwing up devil horns with your hands.

  • This was in the movie Now and Then!!<3 best movie ever, And great song :3

  • It bugs me when people try to be the "next Beatles". There will never be a "next Beatles". I do like this song.

  • Yes, Badfinger was a Beatles copy band. McCartney wrote their 1st hit...If You Want It. Harrison had some input later as well. I always thought this song was the Beatles as well. As well as Baby Blue which is Daytripper-esque.

  • @nwchrista Lol yep macca was great...I like that song IF YOU WANT IT HERE IT IS COME AND GET IT but never knew its a macca one or the band was called bad Finger

  • No its not one of the beatles band member was in Badfinger!

  • so paapy15445 is badfinger the beatles?

  • this is me and my best friends' song!!! :)

  • badfinger was discovered more or less by the beatles--lennon said they would be america's beatles or something to that effect---the sound is no coincidensce

  • Sounds kinda like the beatles. But I love the beatles so it's all good. Love this song and Badfinger ! :D

  • @AngelBuffyBonesHPfan We were all in mourning after the Beatles' breakup and bands like Badfinger helped fill a void for us. It was a very defining sound for the early '70's youth.

  • Badfinger was produced by the Beatles.

  • They play this song all the time on the Morning Joe show that I can hear in my living room!! Nice to hear it all the way through - great tune!!! Hard not to feel good after hearing this.

  • I could imagine Lennon and McCartney doing a duet on this song.

  • @eruptionmat if it was possibble But Johns Dead Maybe Paul And Ringo Lol

  • @babyimawantyou I wasn't talking about a duet now, but rather in 1970 when John was still with us.

  • "P.S. Stan Polley is a soulless bastard. I will take him with me."

  • @mariofanatic101 it was recorded at apple studios and Paul McCartney wrote badfingers first hit

  • Happy Birthday Pete Ham (April 27). RIP

  • I remember the days when good music like this song came out.... oh wait no i dont! that was years before i was born (1995). i was born in the wrong generation fml

  • No!!!! I think it wasn't Badfinger but the Loving Spoonful. (Michelle)

  • Does anybody know a cover recorded by Badfinger on Michelle (by the Beatles) I'm sure I heard it around 1965. I wish I could find it.

  • @jeromerh Not the Lovin' Spoonful. Aren't you thinking of the Overlanders ? Had a number one UK hit in Jan. 1966 with "Michelle".

  • @theherald1000 Thanks a lot. You're right. I heard this version on the radio when I was 11 y.o. almost at the same time when I heard the original with the Beatles. You see. We have a radio station here in Mexico that plays one hour twice a day (8 a.m. an 1 p.m. since 1964 until now , daily)

    So thanx a lot again.

  • @jeromerh That's one of the values of the Internet — that we can share our music knowledge. I have a friend that I haven't seen for several years since he moved down to Cape Town, South Africa. (I'm up the east coast about 100 kms inland of Durban, 1 500 kms away. We weren't very similar, but we loved talking about all the bands !

  • One dislike? Is you's on crack?

Before some jerk makes fun of the grammar, it's from The Ali G Show

  • Amazing how some people can't enjoy the music without wearing an anus turtleneck.

  • @mariofanatic101 Signed by The Beatles in '68 to their Apple label and mentored by them so that vibe is definitely there, no question. Badfinger did a great version with McCartney's "COME AND GET IT". Brilliant!

  • I was a kid at a family christmas party the first time I heard this song. I turned to my cousin and said, "so the Beatles broke up, huh?"

  • Oh MY F***K Shut up about the f'n beatles. Badfinger was Badfinger. This song was a hit by WHO?!?!?! BADFINGER!!!!! NOT BEATLES!!!! That being said,,,great job "Badfinger" love the song!!!!!!! F Beatles!!!!!!!!

  • @platecrumb we get it. shut up. and fuck you.

  • @platecrumb Beatles are better. Face it.

  • @mariofanatic101 well Paul wouldnt b Paul if he wasnt epic

  • these guys gotta alot of history they had alot of financial issues there manager fucked them over many times and left them with nothing.in 1975 it caused Pete Ham To Hang Himself his alcahol level was .27% he had a note pined on him and he left anote to his band mates.he wrote one to his manager that he was a soulless bastard. in 1983 Tom Evans Hung Himself In His Back Yard He Was Hangin From A Willow Tree. There Is Lots To Read About these guys check it out on google on the encyclapedeia

  • this sounds nothing like beatles. It may sound a little like george harrison a little bit.

  • I was touring the USA back in the old days (I mean Union of SA) when a rock and roll song came on the wireless in my vehicle."Please Baas, turn it down," pleaded a teary-eyed Bantu maiden. She said Enlglish music conrtained very bad Juju.---I.F. Malan, music critic

  • i hear beatless

  • @mariofanatic101 They did do some work with Paul McCartney and this fine tune was recorded at Apple so that's where the Beatles sound comes from.

  • thank's I was dreading that this was gonna be an original of the boyzone song but this is gr8t

so the is this what the Fab Four would have sounded like if they had stayed together into the seventies

  • @mariofanatic101 it sure does!!!! George Martin also produced "Sister Golden Hair"

  • Pete Ham literally could create a hit song at will...for the amount of hrs he rehearsed. If you see any credit for this song, it is his composition. He earned his dues enough than to be compared to the Beatles.(A great volume of work til he left us in 1975 )

  • On of my all time feel good songs!!

  • steeler mccartney did not write this song. He wrote come and get it for them . Pete Ham wrote this.

  • Lead singer sounds a lot like Burton Cummings from The Guess Who as well...

  • it sounds like the beatles because paul mccartney wrote this song for badfinger

  • @steelerboi1113 Er no McCartney did not write this song it was written by Pete Ham he did however write Badfinger's smash hit "Come and Get It"

  • @mariofanatic101 Thats probably because they were discovered by the Beatles and recorded on their label. But the Beatles influenced everything back then. They were a phenomenon

  • love

  • @mariofanatic101 I totally agree, it definitely sounds like Paul McCartney. :)

  • gosh, i love this song so much!

just heard it on Breakfast with the Beatles, lol ;P

  • for all you negative people who are saying they were tying to COPY the Beatles, I disagree. Their style is different from the beatles. And just because the lead singer sounds alittle like Paul it doesn't mean they weretrying to be exactly like them. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE THE BEATLES WITH ALL MY HEART but these guys are great too!

  • is the guitar george harrisons? does anyone know for sure?

  • wow WOW wow...........thanks for posting..can you post more apple tracks of this band?

  • badfinger were supossed to b like the beatles to replace them, and i think they did pretty good job at soundin like them ;)

  • @Lovesthebeatles13 Little did they know, their attempts to replace The Beatles would be useless, as The Beatles are one of a kind.

  • Sadley Half The Members Are Past On in The Band 2 Suicides and the other whent in his sleep

  • @glamourboy89 thats 3 of the 4..JM is still alive

  • One of my all time favorites. Someone told me a long time ago, "No Matter What." Trey, I'm sure you know who is singing background vocals. If not, I'm so disappointed;)

  • I love this song!

  • didnt this enter in Sept. 1970? It says Jan 71

  • @Piglatinsuperstar Entered the Charts the Week of October 17th, 1970

  • @swash6180

thanks. i wasnt sure of the exact date

  • Always loved this song...makes me so sad that their history was marked by the tragedy of suicide. Would have loved to see much more music from them. Such a shame that the greed of one man caused such despair.

  • Paul wrote come and get it for badfinger, the beatles were their mentors, badfinger was projected to fil the void of a beatle-less pop world

  • @mariofanatic101 agreed, a lot of their songs sound beatle-ish though. THe lead singer souds like Paul McCartney. They're very good though :)

  • Love the music!!!

  • good shittttttttttttttttttttttt

  • love it!

  • At 2:36 always got me wondering. Like did they forget the rest of the song and improvised?? Ha ha. Funny though. = ]

  • good song
