  • some of us have no painting skill, I end up paying some one else to paint them.

  • @caatabatic even practice did not make my shaky hands any better at painting...some people definately have the skillset to paint, i do not & have long since stopped deceiving myself =) I wonder if this guy Heretic sells little armies?

  • i hate seeing unpainted mini's show up to play against it's shamefull.

  • an hour in the morning... fuck... it takes me over 12 hours to paint one guy because im such of a perfectionist. even when im done im never fully happy with it because it doesnt look as good as the eavy metal team ones haha.

  • @BeTheBe5t try not painting one guy at a time, try and do all of one colour on 10 guys, by the time you've finished the last guy, the first one will be ready for the next colour, this will help you start cranking out your models!

  • @captainparty i would but i cant really do that. i play bretonnians so each of my knights is completely different because of the individual heraldry. peasants though... i can paint those fast. just a few different browns and a wash of devlan mud

  • Have you ever touched a real girls breast?

  • @BornAgainDutch Were you listening?

he is not a nerd. he only spends 1 hour a day on these.

    Fucking listen and stop hating

  • @Sqaureminded101 I've been gaming and modeling for I'm sure FAR longer than you and this guy. It's a joke all our friends ask each other, at least those with impressive enough collections. Because if you have enough time to have such a cool army, you obviously have no time for girls. But the joke is lost.....

  • @BornAgainDutch BTW, he needs to base, his armies will look even better, never skimp on basing!

  • @BornAgainDutch How do you know you have been doing it longer than me?

dont be too quick to judge asshole

  • @Sqaureminded101 Because my 8 year old nephew is more mature than you are. You're obviously just a worm who lives in her mothers basement, you write your manifesto between shifts at the Slurp & Gulp, you know your bus station 'job', and you indeed have never touched a real breast before. I know you 100%. Now go crawl back under your rock you unmitigated Loser.

  • @Sqaureminded101 You have a mouth on you like that and you're only 13? Your worthless parents have not beat you nearly enough. If you were my kid typing at people that way you do, you'd be fishing my foot out of your ass for the next week. Tell your parents to stop wasting time on GW stuff and to get you into therapy. I smell a future angry University Shooter in you.....

  • Man, I wish I just had 1 army T_T

  • sorry, I couldn't hear you over the sound of someone raging...

  • yo know what? tau is gay ;p

  • something tells me that he likes warhammer...

  • At least yours is painted...xD

  • If you go to a apocalypse tournament or games day, people have armies as big or bigger in just one race/ faction. But this is still nice.

  • I absolutely NEVER field a model until it's painted. I like to see them all completely done before they hit the battlefield. Unpainted models spoil the atmosphere.

  • The diference... if Saruman had all of that stuff, nothing in middle earth would be able to stop him, even if they had similar technology.

  • nothing like a few years to amass EVERYTHING

  • I hate playing unpainted armies. I always feel like I wasted my time painting when their stuff is still only primed. I paint super low-quality, but it's MY paint job, MY work, and it feels insulting almost to play unpainted. I won't decline to play, just because of paint, but I don't like it, either.

  • Nice Kitchen!

  • i only played with unpainted models once... and that was because my friends couldn't wait...

  • how much did that cost?

  • I just bought and started to paint 20 space marines. I'm not the best painter but my models have a simple but neat color scheme. You my friend are an inspiration to us all.

  • Respect

  • that is really TOO much.

  • i think there is about 10.000 dollars of models on that table...!~!~!~

  • 3 or 4 modles a day christ i am lucky to have painted 3 or 4 a week

  • @shasokauta Thats why I paint by squad/unit, it takes a little longer to get them all done, but once they are done they are a complete unit :D

I don't mind playing with/against gray models myself, but it just feels so much better fielding a painted guys. Which is why I keep n painting :D

  • wow howmuch have u spent on this dude

  • I will use Gandalf. And use sorcerers blast to knock them all off the table xD

  • Dude I totally agree with you about painting but man, you can't tell other people how to do their hobby, it spoils it for others

  • Not to be a downer, but for the amount of money you spent on all those models you probably could have taken a couple week vacation to Europe. Just sayin....

  • @samueltorres83 much more than that man all tat probably costs about 3k

  • like it I can totally understand. but for those who dont want or cant paint ask someone to do it for you.

  • This makes me sad that ive sold half of my High Elves on ebay. Ive kept the unpainted ones with the intetinon of finishing them and selling them too. Still got all of my eldar though. I like the beaky marines too

  • Totally agree with youhereticofyew!

If you pay the ridiculous prices that GW forces you to pay for their stuff, you could at least paint the shit out of every model and play games with it until its a pile of dust to get the most entertainment for the money!

  • @One1ride double agreement, my mates got a pile of ugly ass 'nids, of which only the 'big stuff is painted'. He has lots of troops, and lots to paint, and he keeps buying more, I was like dude, pace youself, buy a box once you've painted it! his army does not look intimidating at all, mine however no bias in here, but it looks better when its painted!

  • @MilkyWarhammer40k

Yeah and 'nids aren't that hard to paint to a tabletopstandard, I mean a swarm or a neverending tidearmy is way easier to paint than an elitebased army, like a space wolves army with only termies in it xD

  • @One1ride fuck painting want fun

  • i love the models but plse dont b mean bout it or arrogant maybe som people dont want 2 paint them or dont have the time to paint for example i have half a squad of thousand sons which i havent painted in over 3 months and the only reason i dont paint them is because i dont want to simple as that

  • Intimidation +5

  • ur a Douchbag

  • Time and effort I have, the budget to buy all these, I do not. Just kidding...I have a $2000+ ork army and I'm putting $1200 into nids...

  • as freakin rad as this is; there is no way you could realistically play all of those units; yeah its nice to have the lux of being able to say "oh i think ill play this army today" but really in reality your paying oh so much for basically 1/4 of the use on each army vs. just having one massive pts force. thats just my opinion. with that said i love that you TAKE THE TIME to make sure you put forth a real effort in making your units eye pleasing.

  • @whatgrowsontrees I have a small Necron army myself that I'm starting to get back in to, but I for one would really like to have a second army, maybe imperial guard, I'd be able to play with friends also that way. But with even more armies, I'd be able to have more options on what I'd like to play as or against or the number of games I'd be able to take part in.

  • i just jizzed myself a river

  • I never used to paint my armies back in 6th grade when I started this hobby. The first marines I bought were 100% blue with big red blotches for eyes.

Over ten years have passed since then, and while I may not be an amazing pro, I love my models that I did paint. It is kind of addicting after a while lol.

  • Pretty nice collection. Its nice to see people with almost as many as some of the guys in our club have. we though we were the only ones silly enough to have 100,000 pts or more of certain armies.

I.m all for painting, but I know people who just dont like it, or dont have the time. only about 1/2 the stuff I own is painted. I look at it this way, if I have free time, I'd rather be playing than painting.

  • nice collection dude :D i got around 19,000pts of marines then another 10,000pts of imp guard and just sold a butt load of LOTR and Warhammer fantasy plus my nids and my tau made me sad

but dude nice and i havent painted all mine man it dont matter if they are painted or not sure it looks nice but its just for the fun the challenge and meeting of minds your point is valid but no offence umm get over it dude

  • saddo

  • i agree umpaintedminis spoil my mood in a good game like hail on a bbq :P

  • I agree with herticofyew on this one. You can't play with unpainted models it just doesn't work. The only exemption for me, in my eyes, would be for kids. Kids find it difficult to paint, atleast, with moderate skill involved. But they aren't hindered in imagination to see something without colour as being nothing but what it is, rendered in the paintless. It's less dynamic for me, in the adult eye, to play a game with grey/gray plastics. Less seemless to the point of play. Adults, no excuse.

  • OMG where do you put them ??????

  • @1oODeathAngelOo1 he leaves them on that table man best spot. guest come around turn their heads, then like " :0 wtf. haha

  • @1oODeathAngelOo1 more to the point: OMG where do you get THE MONEY to put them somewhere?????

  • @1oODeathAngelOo1 The guy has a kitchen island, who the hell has a kitchen island? Rich people do. He probably has miniatures room with lots of fancy glass shelves that light up. LoL

  • too much red

  • I can see why someone might take their time painting an army but if you glue the army to play it I would like to see them primed at least. personaly I glue the bigger peaces and paint the arms and other smaller bits before I finish glueing the model.

  • I have a wife a kid...a dog

  • HOLY PAINTEDNESS

  • Honey clear the table its time for supper!

  • This is fucking impressive. Bravo.

  • OMFG!!! GREAT!!!

  • I agree man but the real thing that need to be talked about is why these thing cost so much

  • you know what i really hate? shit conversions. especially when people keep going on about how awesome their conversion is. A SKAVEN WITH A SPACE MARINE POWER FIST LOOKS FUCKING STUPID. ITS NOT EVEN GLUED ONTO THE SHOULDER IN THE RIGHT PLACE. aaaaaargh. anyway, ur models are reeeealy cool

  • i have about ten times as much as that and its all painted... ok heratec all my armys agenst all yours!!!! you will be crushed...lol jsut kiding playing with my armys at once would make my head explode...lol any how... really nice job, pro painted im a big fan of the old stuff too but more fantasy than 40k you can check out my collection at epic warhammer collection 2.0

  • but what if there making and converting by the time they play u and how do u get the money

  • I hate painting. I love to model and Game.

  • Love the reference to soromon

  • when i look at this, i just think of 5k worth of plastic and metal... mabey more. I have starred at my computer for 10 hrs, contemplating whether or not i should buy 5 obliterators.... mabey i should.

  • @happyogre1 I could not agree any more with you :)

  • You should post some pics of up close, of your favorite paintings at least

  • i buy loads of shit painted stuff off ebay then spray it all black then never paint it lol but i never play with something i havnt painted cos i think it spoils it :)

  • I play orks :( I have 1 model painted and 173 more to go D: NOOOOOOO

  • @Numisinol I have a crap load to go, and yet and crap load done, example 150 orks in a month, yet 300+ to go.

  • I'm painting as fast as I can!

  • i agree

  • LOOKING FOR A A HAUL HOPEFULLY CHAOS SPACE MARINES FOR A LOW PRICE PLEASE

  • Never painting my shit

  • world of warcraft is cheaper also easier to get into because of warhammers rules also i find it more fun and social, met some wicked guys in guilds etc so i dont agree it beats pc.

Very nice painting though duno if u can put that on ure CV shows good dedication and goal setting tho.

i tottaly agree with painting ure modles, makes ure game feel loads more epic

  • I have a small BA army and i have to say that i dont use my models UNTIL they are painted.. its nothing personal because i dont mind ppl not painting armies however, i feel that if i use my models before they are painted then i will just keep buying and buying and buying to the point where i get too lazy to paint. just my thought

  • OMG! that is insane!

  • There are two different types that play 40k. There are the people in it simply for the game and those in it for the hobby. Gamers want a game and don't really care if their minis are painted. Hobbyists enjoy the overall hobby. For a hobbyist to gripe about a gamer not wanting to paint is akin to casual gamers complaining about competitive players and their WAAC lists. It doesn't make sense. If you don't want to play an unpainted army, fine, but don't tell me what to do with my figs.

  • thats crazy!!!

  • Don't go getting confused by what he's saying here. We don't particularly care if the best you can manage is a little less than "tabletop quality". We're not concerned with how *well* it's painted, a game isn't a showcase, that's what competitions, youtube and blogs are for. That said, yes there are the odd few people who'll give you a hard time for not painting at "competition quality". Just ignore them, please ignore them, we're not sure who let them out of their cages.

  • hate the people who dont take the time to show up close their minis when they care so much about painting them i mean if your not gonna show a close up might as well not paint them they look like red and black solid minis bad video like honestly not even one close up of your paint job and you care so much about them not being painted wowwww your dumb

  • so... how many points do you think are on that table?

  • Army Painter makes this a little bit easier. I've been playing skirmish level games like AE-WWII and Pulp city a lot lately because its easier to paint smaller groups of figures and these games don't suffer from the dreaded GW price hike. Being able to chat with the games' creators is pretty cool too. The Darkson and Pulp Monsters guys are really great guys and fun to talk to. They really care about their fanbase.

  • well it is nice. befor my GWS closed down ( now no where to play :/ ) everyone has paited armys. only time they dont is if they just got a new model that day

  • i try to paint my army as good as i can and as quick as i can. i started at the start of this year as a Space Wolf player but all i did so far is half a pred (need to magnetise first before the rest), 1.5 rhino, almost a full squad of grey hunters, another set of 8 grey hunters, 5 blood claws (the rest is still headless as i paint before assembly), 10 termies (9 wolf guard and 1 lone wolf), 2 wolves, 5 scouts, njal, a rune priest and a wolf priest.

  • Yah, i painted, but i need to give my guardsmen a new outfit, they look like retarded jungle fighters from Catachan, the odd guys out. They obviously didn't want them there to fight, so... yah... LOL

  • very impressive sir

  • I used to paint my miniatures, but I can no longer afford paint, since I'm now paying for all my stuff instead of parents paying for it, so I have like a half painted army I probably won't put a brush to for like... five years.

  • I feel like a lot of people (myself included) want to paint them but feel they might screw it up. My artistic skills aren't very good, which I guess it comes with practice.

I want to get into warhammer 40k but I don't have money and college and friends takes up a lot of time.

  • 2 questions 1.does anyone know any shops in vegas where you can buy 40k stuff

2.is there a certain way you have to paint your armies or can you paint them however you want

  • i totaly disagree with this vid to be honest, i think this is more of a "look at my shit i gots lots" vid more than anything people enjoy many aspects of the hobby and to each their own. an i dont think people should dictate what parts of the hobby people HAVE to do then its not a hobby its a chore....

  • WOW dude some people play the game to have fun not do tournaments and you sound high and challenged

  • im the complete opposite! i play every once in a while but i really only care for painting. not that the game isn't fun but painting is the part that interests me. It's really unfair to someone like me who spends 2-7 hours per miniature to come with one of my armies and end up playing some guy who doesn't even bother to prime. My local gw has a rule that 50% of your army must be painted in order for you to play on their tables and i think that all gw's should enforce that.

  • really depends where your playing in my opinion, but if your gonna post a video you should definetly have your armies painted.

  • I agree. A little something every day really makes a difference. One model a day is actually huge, heck even doing one colour on one model a day will get armys done quicker than the average gamer gets his army done.

The only way people have fully painted armys I know is because they went to a tournament so had to do it.

  • Ohhhh getting into this again as soon as I get a new job....... :)

  • it really dosent matter if you paint your army our not it just looks better if you do.

  • I will probably get flamed hardcore for this, but I really don't care if someone's army is painted or not. I myself, enjoy painting my models, and greatly enjoy how they come out. That wasn't always the case though; in fact I used to be afraid to paint, for fear that they would come out really shitty.

In my opinion, paint if you want to paint, don't if you don't. Just don't be a douchebag at the gaming table, is all I care about.

  • @Terriss0421 yup some people just cant paint like me so now i have to pay ect ect to get them painted to plz people like this who is trying to SHAME people in to painting

  • I'm actually starting an empire army with an issue with my painting abilities. but my "mentor" says that if It's not painted it doesn't touch his table. He's been playing since 1st edition lol

  • @Terriss0421 I'm a noob painter and I get one model done about every 2 weeks. takes a bit of currage for me to paint and hope I do a good job. Personaly I'm in the hobby just for the painting, I would like to play but I don't think mini wargameing is big where I live and I don't have a car to drive to the city.

  • @kairon156 Nothing wrong with that at all! I know a few people who just want to paint (one of them collects skaven...now there's something wrong with him...that's too much painting for me...)

  • @Terriss0421 I would agree but he has stuff from 1st editions so it's not like he painted all that in 1 or 2 years. any way I think primed is good enough for an army you're just playing. :) I paint orks my self but when I'm done my ork boys I might want to move on to another army.

  • @Terriss0421 It is a good idea to paint your all your models though, some people/places won't even let you play without painted models and a little something on the base.

  • @KevinLounsberry I do encourage anyone and everyone to paint...but if it's not your thing, it's not your thing.

  • how many point ? and that would be about £10,000

  • how musch money does it cost ?

  • @julianenayden An ass load.

  • i am lucky the few players we have here are interested on painting, because they use to be former heroclix and star wars players and those minis came factory painted, so in WH40k they want their armies to look cool.

  • WOW

  • well I have two big armies and have some stuff painted but I struggle with HOW I want my armies to look that I dont want to have to REpaint them later. Just CLEANING them up takes time. Plus i want to do different stuff and get ideas from other peoples armies to use what I like on mine. Another factor is I want to put in alot of detail in my guys so even the archers look Golden Demon worthy, I mean I PAID ALOT for my armies so want them to look the best they can when I'm done,

  • i like to paint my models, i don't see how painting can be daunting you just paint a little bit at a time and if you mess up you can just restart

  • im sorry but that is not having a life?

  • @awesomej03

that is having a hobby, he said he did it in the last couple of years..

  • A true hobbyist. I commend your dedication and I also believe that everyone should be painting their models before bringing to a match. I wouldn't want to play against an unpainted army because it loses it's appeal.

  • so many models and yet not a single lizardmen model, its a shame, they're way the coolest faction/race of warhammer fantasy

and i agree everyone should aint their armies, its fun to do and rly rewarding

  • holy S@#% you got your kitchen table full of them

  • you must know lots of hot chicks : )

  • I didn't know you were so cool

  • i'm lucky my brother loves painting them! but i wont play unpainted models! it looks bad! taks away from the game!

    well done mate!

  • and i thot i had a lot

  • you sound like you are drunk haha :) but I find this hilarious. a funny way to make your point =P

  • I don't think I've ever even played. I like the painting, I'm not too good at it but it's relaxing and I love the look of a completed army.

  • I don't enjoy painting all that much, but I don't like playing with gray models, that somehow takes the enjoyment out of the whole gaming thing. So, I just get my friends who enjoy painting to do it for me.

I of course supply all the paint, brushes, etc.

  • O.O* im giving up! hands in the air!!!!!!!!!!!!! don't shoot! im quait playing this shit!!!

  • To most people, playing is really more important than painting honestly. You spend the 1000s of dollars to play, not spend all day painting. You could be the best painter ever and be shit at the game, Im sorry to say ( not really ) that skill speaks for itself and will do you better good than painting your army. Notice how painting dosent matter in most tournaments and even Ard Boyz...

  • Why do you assume that just because we dont paint our armies that we are just in it for the win??? Some of us enjoy the battles and it doesnt matter who wins. Also some of us cant paint, there are numerous reasons, time and money are a big one but here are others reasons as to why some of us cant paint.

  • how mutch was all that? du u have a wife? im not tryin to be mean. im curious if ther e are girls that are ok with their guys doing this. i do it. o am trying to stay with ither orks aor imp guard. but hey im 15 dude. im not bashin ya im mad jelous of ya.

  • having painted armies makes the game just BETTER. It really compliments the game and makes it take on a new dimesnsion. otherwise it just looks like a bunch of plastic on a table.

  • I feel a bit mixed about your comment. I do agree that people should paint their models, but saying that its a MUST is like saying those who just paint Warhammer models must also play the game. Warhammer is not only a hobby but also a game, so their are obviously going to be those who only play for the game and those who only do it for the hobby. Personally though I feel those who are a part of both aspects truly get the full experiences of Warhammer. Athel Loren forever!

  • my 2 friends who i play 40k with have loads of unpainted stuff, they say they cant be bothered. Everyone should paint thier stuff because together they look awesome.

  • Painting is the most intimadating part especcially for new players i should know i just started last month because you spend your hard earned money and you dont want to ruin your minatures you shouldnt critize some peoples painting skills but as long as they tried there hardest to actually put the effort to it

  • Amazing collection, I have linked to your video from my blog, all about collecting stuff.

  • .....I'm speechless, I have never seen anything like it. I Agree, people should spend some luuuuuv on their armies

  • i could buy a nice ass car for how much you spent on all that.

  • so where is yor wedding band if you are married. not to sound like a jerk, but mine would never be off. also, you did not do this in 2 years (you say a couple), second, you are way too into this, and spend way too much on this, i love it too but come on, my gf loves me, and thinks its neat i do this, but gets annoyed when i spend too much, but is normally fairly layed back on it. anyways, dont claim to be married, even if you are, if you dont wear the band.

  • sweet army

i alway paint my people because thats half the fun, you paint them to suit what they would look like, even if you think they would look nice in pink

  • I love what you have to say in this vid...NICE. PAINT YOUR STUFF!

  • My biggest fear is once I paint it I won't like it.

  • same here

  • !!! thats a lot of armies/models

Lol i have half a tyranid army to paint and a imperil command squad

  • I'll give you $2.00 for the lot

  • =0

    It's...so...big...army.........

  • I agree that when you buy your models you should take the time to paint them, even if you don't do a great job.

I play a skaven army and all the messy sloppy painting that I might do just adds to the overall army image.

  • Nice Tau Army! It looks great!

  • I don't think it matters if you play someone who hasn't painted their stuff, as long as they are going to paint it at some point.

People who never have any intention to paint their models are just dumb... They are missing out on how awesome it looks once it's done.

  • Well most of the guys I see at the game store have no intention of painting...they buy loads of mins huge massive armies that are not even primered. Takes the fun out of the game when you know a guy just plays for the W instead of playing as a complete hobby

  • @hereticofyew Well, I have no plans on painting my army. But don't assume that just because I don't want to do so im only playing for the win... I play to just enjoy myself. Its fun killing stuff.

  • @hereticofyew I never, and I mean never field a miniature unless it's painted. So I have to have minimum painted army before any of my armies goes to war. I think it just looks great when they're painted, admittedly my early stuff looks nowhere near as good as what I'm capable of now, but that just comes with time, better a poor paint job than no paint job.

  • one of the main reasons i want to start collecting is to paint em :L thats why ill never be buying of ebay :L

  • @hereticofyew I have loads mins huge massive armies that I've primed all of them in one color "Faggot Fuchsia" and glued sparkles

I don't even know how to play, do you want to meet up and fight my sparkle army?

    Just joking HA !!

  • @Averagegamer100 Sometimes i use 4 hours to paint a one miniature. And now im playing Space Orks.

  • dang man thats a lot of models, i'm just starting a chaos army and plan on getting the paints when i got to get my daemon prince, any tips for a painting noob.

  • wow your armies have grown....I dont know why your wife hasnt executed you yet

  • That..... is...... Awesome.... :O

  • I do dedicate myself alot , i spend 3 -4 hours a day painting . Still , beouse i set myself a high level of standard i usally onlu finish a mini or two in a week .

Thank god i collect space marines , not orks or tyranids , or i'd have to be painting 24/7 all week long ! :D

    Nice minis though ;)

  • that is totally cool...I run into players who have no intention of ever painting thier stuff

  • I know a few of those types :) Then again , its their choice , even if its a bad one

  • @gretar00 damn, then you need to get out more! lol

  • @gretar00 yeah I know it, I paint orks and I feel I will never end the painting.

  • really nice models:)i think if your gonna pay for models you might as well paint them and make them the best they can be

  • I think I've painted around 14 armies in about one and a half years.
