  • This video is a SOPA nightmare.

  • Very dystopian view of how things will turn out to be. Of course, we're already reaching the point where we can 'pick your son and daughter too, from the bottom of a long glass tube.' Definitely best one-hit wonder I've heard, as well as one of the more dire warnings.

  • In the year 2012 world gonna be end. Bye

    For what he never knew

    Now man's reign is through

    But through the eternal night

    The twinkling of starlight

    So very far away

  • the song is describing exactly the way we are heading. oh well.

  • oh and yes the clips i would like to know some of those movies too.

  • great song and great video i really liked it i watch it stoned so it was even better

  • I would like to know what movie clips were used in this video. I recognize a couple of them, but several others look interesting.

  • There is no other gods but GOD. What ever us asssholes want to call him, If you look around, or check with physicists, or look into your heart, you will know that all that is around us was created by 1 superior being. whether or not you agree with this creator is your own perogitive. I personally do NOT!

  • @heavyduty718 Straightforward,at least!

  • @heavyduty718 When people see humans destined to become their own gods, it scares them, partly because they fear the wrath of a God completely disconnected from human experience, and partly because they don't believe they can handle the responsibility, particularly of judging themselves. They never stop to consider maybe the Old Bastard made us 'cause he was looking for a break from it all. Maybe we're supposed to relieve him from duty...or even more compelling, become him entirely.

  • @SpookyJohnathan I never thought that I'd read a philosophical or insightful post among the comments on a YouTube video, but you have defied my expectations. That was an outstanding observation, and you may well be right.

You're restored my faith in the possibility of the existence of intelligent life on the internet.

  • @TGMegami Thank you. I just used your post to prove to my girlfriend I was more than just a godawful troll. lol.

  • I wont be able to get this out ma head now, lol

  • COOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLL

  • Well I could be wrong, but its not just a song for amusement, but also its a warning if we continue down our current path

  • oi name it 2525 with all the vid cuts i could grab

  • I saw:

The Matrix, Terminator 2: Judgement Day, 2012, I Robot, Hitchhiker's Guide to The Galaxy, Terminator Salvation, and Lost in Space. Sorry, that's all I got.

  • @drakedurbin the kingdom

  • i dont know about you guys, but i loved that futurama episode...

  • Well done vid!!

  • strange that the comments are turned off for this song in the other videos i watched...

the future doesnt look good, sadly it will come a lot sooner than 2525...

  • @sithalo The sad scene with the baseball field suicide bomb is from "The Kingdom"

  • very sad back in the day, still sad today...

  • by 2524 we'd all be dead anyway.people are scared right now that 2012 is going to be the end of earth. we're just in the last days. the end probably won't even be in our lifetime.

  • This video is so prophetic, it's scary! A great deal of intelligence put this one together! Very creative and tthought-provoking, but well made!

  • good song and great vid....thanks!

  • People can't appreciate anytihng, not even each other. I'd kill for some true friends. There all jerks. Because of this, we will literally create the thing that destroys us all.

  • @bornhippie100

Know how you feel. Friends when they want something, but not friends when you need them. I am in a crowd yet so alone,

Excellent movie clip tie-in to a song that sounds just as awesome today as it did when it forst came out and I heard it.

  • @LonegunmenNZ I wasn't alive when it first came out. I'm only 12. Which sadddens me. I feel like I'm trapped in this new world. Sure, technology's cool and all that, but whatever. I'd kill to ahve been twelve back in the 80's. It must be terrible to have to watch develope into this, but at least I would have the memory.

  • @bornhippie100 What is really terrible is that we are not learning from our mistakes, we keep repeating them. More local to us individually is that we now have a "I wan it now" generation whom don't want to have to earn anything but demand that they are given it. As you say technology is impressive today, but whatever happened to knowing your neighbour? Your neighbourhood?? Instead we have cyber babes.

  • you put in lost in space but forget 2001 and blade runner...tisk tisk. still good job.

  • Awesome video. Great movie clips to go along with the lyrics.

  • 1:38 What movie is that from?

  • @sonicfast01 That is from i-Robot

  • The amazing thing is that most of this has already came true. This is also a slightly scary thing.

  • this video is awesome

  • This is crazy how things in this song are becoming true much faster then what it says it will happen. We can clone if we want to. No need your teeth or eyes is like saying that we do not have to be in front of one another to talk or see. Need no husband or wife is going on already. So many Americans do not believe in Marriage anymore as well as a record of cheating wives… We are becoming like cyborgs & losing our Humanity as time goes by...

  • @xxTeutonicKnightxx Couldn't have said it better myself.

  • @xxTeutonicKnightxx Is it really so bad?

  • @xxTeutonicKnightxx why is marriage so important?

  • @fragmaster345 The thing is people, more so today do not realize that families are the back bone to Human civilization, with out marriage or some sort of commitment to family; we would not be hear today...

  • @xxTeutonicKnightxx you don't have to marry to commit, you just need common sence and a mutual love for eachother.

  • @xxTeutonicKnightxx How true. I love computers but only computer and television. I'm not really losing humanity, I'm losing my faith in it. I am just a very lonely person who just wants to have connections with caring and loving people which I belive there aren't much of anymore.

  • I didn't cmoe here from futurama. I came cuz my dad's aweosme. he listens to cool music like this all the time, and introduced this to me. How much beter can you really get..?

  • @bornhippie100 Same here. LOL

  • official quality. 5 stars.

  • this song is according to the bible, technology, and history

  • What is the movie where that skull is crushed?

  • @Picard578 one of the Terminator, not sure which one though

  • @Picard578 It is from one of the Terminator movies, not sure which one though.

  • terminater 3 rise of the machines when jon conner has a dream about the future

  • @sin2acos2a1 thanks

  • Thumbs up, if you here cos of Gentlemen Broncos and not cos of the Futurama.

  • Man this video fucking ROCKS if they gave awards for You Tube Videos youd get a fucking huge diamond encrusted one with grade A Skunk filling the bowl. Fucking A !!!

  • Futurama? WHAT?? Dude, my dad turned me on to this - awesome song, my new fav, seriously.

  • This song is so sad and so true. In just the 21 short years that I've been alive things have already changed so much. Just look at how disconnected people are. I can't even sit down with family that I haven't seen in months without them staring at their latest phone instead of making eye contact with me while I'm talking to them. When I was a kid in the 90s people were very different, and that's a very short time span. I think this song is absolutely right. =(

  • hello my friend how are you, read your statement and i can not agree with you more. what you said it so damn sad and yet so true. i am 35, 36 is around the corner for me. i am high school history teacher and technology has plagued our society i can not talk to anyone teacher or student or even my nieghbor without seeing an ipad, iphone, cell phone, laptop or other electronic devices. the art of communication among my fellow brothers and sisters is extinct.

this is a true song. take care friend

  • @AnotherSchmoe I understand. But try being a kid from the 60s. One TV, 4 channels, one rotary phone and even being left at the drive in by your parents and picked up later that evening. You are right, times have changed and not for the best I fear.

  • @AnotherSchmo wow i am olny 14 and i have also seen great change

by the tyme i am 50 i pretty shore there will be no human contact at all

  • @AnotherSchmoe DUDE I KNOW! FU#@ And I am 25! So i know what you are talking about.

  • No one knows the end of the world so just shut up

  • i hate to say this but as some of you may know our sun will implode in the year 2065 so we wont surive to 2525

  • 2525 i dont think we will be here in 2050 let alone 2525 what how the world shaping up now!!!

  • Bronco from Yeast Lords send me a timecapsule that got me here...

  • A wonderfull clip. Very nice put together. It goes straight in to my favorite list.

  • You should have put scenes from Doctor Who in there.

  • There are several scenes from the movie I, Robot, with Will Smith.

  • You ought to credit the clips. I recognize 'The Matrix' as one.

  • I heard this in a geography lesson on friday and i cant gget it out of my head

  • unture we are gonna get flying cars by 2050 lets see what albert ensten thinks of the world like that

  • This is a gooedisserdfdsa, dsa.jkkkkkkfnKLUewiy98iorc

Sorry, i didn't take jlhdasfg cnx my phill today!

  • I just wish we could somehow put an end to these damn huge wars around the world so we could save up and save our race by moving out of the earth and starting space colinizations as what Stephen Hawking agrees to. Though it is one of the most difficult things to discuss...

  • @TheImperialElite73 Your point is well made and founded! But so long as we have a population on the planet living in the medievel era repressing it's female count, declaring war on those who disagree and worryingly propogating and already numbers a great percentage of the world's population- I only see our species regressing due to superstition and prejudice- bleak I know, I'm sorry! HATRED IS A DISEASE!!

  • I guess I'm the only one who has been sent here by English study book called Matrix :D

  • nice song, nice video to!!

  • in the year 252525 is way better

  • i was sent here by gentleman broncos

  • I still think the song grossly underestimates how fast things change, all the mentioned stuff would probably happen within the next 1000 years if not 100 given how fast computers are evolving.

  • gentlemen broncos sent ME here

  • @pedizzle77 Exactly. I don't think they knew just how fast science was moving in the 1960's. And it's been moving even faster since then as we see almost everyday.

  • first heard this song on the film the gentelmen broncos, and i hadda hear it again

  • Love the way u put this whole thing together.

  • "now it's been 10 thousand years, man have cried a billon tears" that sounded really dark

  • 1:18 what film is that from.

    By the way, nice video.

You should check out my videos.

    Visit my page.

  • @MattBL If I'm not mistaken I believe that's from Hitchhicker's Guide to the Galaxy. If it's the clip of the people all contorted then that would be Minority Report. I hope this helps. :)

  • @MattBL If it's the picture of the little dude I believe it's Hitchhicker's Guide to the Galaxy. The people all contorted is Minority Report.

  • Epic editing!

  • Ian Brown do this song as great as orginal i think.

    /watch?v=T0eQFrPNuaM

  • imagine Jack Bruce from cream singing this

  • God: "O.k., Son, time to get over there and do it." Jesus: "Now, Father?" "Yes, it's time to turn the oceans into ammonia and let the fire out and about. I believe I've been patient...even the good ones are starting to weaken under the nonsense." "Yes, Father, I understand. Again, I wish there was another way, but I go now to complete Your will."

  • Newscast 3535: "Today, there will be water distribution to the following people deemed to be the most productive and agreeable to the current political structure...bread will be available at the following locations...atomic testing continues in the uninhabited areas formerly known as Lansing, Michigan; Fresno, California; Bergen, New Jersey and Wichita, Kansas. On the world scene, a man was caught driving an automobile in Canada today, and was disposed of by his neighbors.

  • nice- this is good

  • @frythegears In the verse "in the year 9595" The last line goes "And he ain't put back enough in" Not the way you have it
