  • uh, that's nu's entire tactics. her strategy is to hang back while pummeling her opponents at a distance. to make up for this, she has a terrible defense though. QQ some more. there were plenty of ways that you could have won this.

  • @GeeGamerz I was a stubborn Nu player for a while and won more than a few matches using nothing but close melee.

  • @Ultimaniacx4 those have crazy range anyway, deal high damage, and one is a projectile attack.

  • mu cant fight up close...this is comming from some one who is a lambda main who is just mu but in cs

  • ummmmm...nooooo thats wat she's supposed to do...yea um dude u just suck...-.-

  • i havent played blazblue in forever ... but after seeing this... i would destroy both of you with my tager, arakune and my rachel with little effort trolololololololol

  • @raymixb2 If I was playing like in this video, you could be me with Noel just mashing D.

  • @Ultimaniacx4 probably... i miss blazblue... once i went mvc3 i havent looked back. also i made everyone i know quit blazblue so it kinda became not fun after awhile :( lol

  • Your first problem is that you're fucking playing BlazBlue.

  • heavens forbid a character does what it's good at.

ex: a tager getting close. don't you just RAGE? -_-"

  • @aba0302 Inorite? I also hate it when Hakumen uses his sword.

  • @Ultimaniacx4 yeah, he should just stay away from C & D alltogether.

  • It's not cowardly, It's keep away.

  • what is j.D j.c? is j a button?

  • @rscaml2 j=jump, A=weak, B=medium, C=strong, D=Drive.

  • DON'T YOU HATE WHEN NOOBS POST VIDEOS OF MATCHES (dare I say with even shitty quality view) IN WHICH THEY WIN USING SHITTY TACTICS?

Good lord, that Ragna was pathetic.

  • @VexxxMaster69 DON'T YOU HATE WHEN PEOPLE POINT OUT THINGS IN A VIDEO THAT THE POSTER ALREADY POINTED OUT IN THE VIDEO DESCRIPTION AND MULTIPLE COMMENTS!?

  • Well, Nu doesn't have good defense from what I heard. I did some search and looked at Nu's tutorial and startiges...And I a fight their is always a tactic if your basicly cornered by a stronger opponet...

  • do people still play this game online?

  • learn how to play u dumbass

  • @bludika Learn how to not be retarded and read video descriptions.

  • Most of the time, you were just rushing in with air dash and using j.D and j.C. Blocking seems to mean nothing to you....:l. I'll admit you opponent was a noob, cuz he has no sense of timing bursts.

  • @009lan Well it was literally my 3rd online match ever so there's that. And it was over two years ago.

  • @Ultimaniacx4 Yeah, i guess people do improve over time.

  • If she lets Ragna get close he'll rape her face off.

    I don't blame them.

Some of Ranga's moves are pretty ridiculous.

  • Danger state != Negative Penalty. Danger state = you barrier bursted or you ran out of barrier gauge. This stacks on top of negative penalty which is "you're STALLING too much". Note the difference between stalling and being Nu where you can actually deal damage at that range. As long as you're not using a back motion, you're playing positive. Nu was in negative penalty for all of... 15 seconds. When she was already in danger state AND low on HP. Taking the negative penalty there is correct.

  • Bang also has a spam attack like that where he gets in your face and doesn't let you move. My brother used that on me. -_-

  • Ragna's rushdown, meaning he needs to get up in nu's face.

Nu doesn't want people in her face because of her HP.

    end of story.

  • i find it funny people still comment on this old ass vid lol XP so i decided to join the circus!! 'hey, nu is supposed to be played like that!!' uuhhmm...'hey, your skill was horrible all that time ago so you must still be noob!!' uuhhmm...'you no know ragna escapé combos!!' i think that's it?? lol jk XD i main Noel...so...SCREW TAGER!! kthnxbai XD

  • Thats how you are suppose to use her, she's not a close range type.

  • I find it hilarious how many comments you've gotten that say Nu is supposed to be played that way. Hey guys, if she's supposed to be played that way, this guy wouldn't have a Negative Warning on him for the entire match. There's a difference between zoning and outright fleeing.

  • @RyoWolf I glad someone else pointed it out. If I had said anything all I'd hear is something akin to "cry some more noob." =\

  • @Ultimaniacx4 Yeah taht guy was a relly fag hahaha that happen me every time I play online, but I allways bet them with hazama (: but hey!! That probes that you're really good, it's hard to beat someone who only do one combo every time /:

  • @RyoWolf Then call me a coward with Mu-12. Here's my tactics.

Steins. Steins. Steins. Steins. Steins. Steins. (add infinitum)

    Divine Light of Punishment.

Steins. Steins. Steins. Steins. Steins. Steins. (add infinitum)

    Blessed Mirror.

    Distortion Finish.

  • @AjiraCtelin1993 And do you maintain a negative warning for the entire match fighting that way? My point was that the game is punishing the player, ergo, he's not doing it right. Zoning is a legitimate tactic, and it is not the same thing as fleeing. On a different note, that doesn't sound like a particularly effective strategy. Mu's Steins are useful, but you gotta have more to it to counter the multitude of ways players can outright ignore her Steins and beat her face in.

  • @RyoWolf I usually get the negative warning first thing, and yes it lasts the whole fight.

I also suck at BlazBlue, having to change the difficulty setting not because it was too easy, but because it was TO F---KING HARD!! I couldn't even input against Unlimited Hazama on EASY MODE! FREAKING EASY MODE!!

  • @AjiraCtelin1993 ...yeah, you kinda just won that argument for me. If the strategy worked, you wouldn't be getting your ass kicked. And if the game intended you to fight that way, you wouldn't get a Negative Warning.

  • @RyoWolf Well, then call me a BlazBlue n00b.

  • @RyoWolf For someone who knows so much about the game, how can you still know so little? The warning in the life bar only showed up because Nu did a barrier burst. The negative penalty has the downward moving lines to accompany the life bar danger indicator as well as a flashing warning on the fleeing character's side of the screen, above 'counter'. I didn't see any of the usual other indicators of fleeing negative bonus until the end of the last round.

  • That is not the "entire match", and the only thing you've proven is your ignorance to the game. Now, I'm not saying that what that player did isn't particularly cheap, but there are ways of getting around that tactic. Learn them, get more skilled, and move on. The game itself does a great job of punishing excessively cheap defensive tactics, which is why Ragna won at the end of that match still.

  • @RyoWolf What's more hilarious is the fact you don't know the difference between a burst and negative pentalty. Nu's zoning is exactly as you see here albeit with better execution of attacks. This vid is nothing more than someone trying to blame his own frustrations at sucking at the game on something else.

And LOL at @Ultimaniacx4 agreeing. Your glad someone pointed something out that's completely wrong? Shows you are still a scrub 2 years after posting this video.

  • @fizzy8634 'exactly.' I don't that word means what you think it means. It can't be "exactly the same 'but.'" The person sucked, I sucked. I'm not fighting game elite, never claimed to be. I don't get the purpose of you pointing any of that out here.

  • i love it when people bitch and whine on comments and say the uploader lost when it shows him winning -_-;

  • "cowardly" doesnt really fit here, thats her strategy and if you can't be "rachel" good at this game then your gonna lose

  • @tyleraw I'd say whether you win or lose depends on your opponent a good deal as well, wouldn't you?

  • @Ultimaniacx4 indeed it does

  • @tyleraw Err... Nu was higher up on the tier list than Rachel at least when this game was made...

Not only that, but V-13 could be played Incredibly good as a rushdown/zone hybrid character. THAT was her strategy. Even the makers realized they done fucked up when they made her zoning so abusable. It wasnt the intended strategy for Nu, thats why they made Lambda. People who play like that are cowards, and I honestly say your not a very good player if something like this is all you can do.

  • @TheCallingToTruth On a side note, if I played a zoner like this, Id punish the shit outta her. this Nu is pure Gutter trash.

  • @TheCallingToTruth maybe Nu was higher at the begining, but i guess people don know about george at that time. rachel can pressure more and do more damage per combo, also george. if you watch rachel combos once in a corner, your screwed, and i mean up the butt. Nu cannot pressure as well in a corner, but yet Nu can pressure anywhere. Rachel just wins, OR we can stop this pointless agrument and main tager. Agreed?

  • @tyleraw uhhhh... Nu was SS tier the whole game... Rachel and Arakune were S.

But I main bang, so... :P

  • @TheCallingToTruth but yet, Carl could destroy both of them lolol

  • this video is hilarious

  • I play Ragna myself, and I gotta say, this nu player isn't in the wrong...Nu has pretty low defense, and Ragna's got some nice combo capability. She kept you right where she could do maximum damage and take advantage of Ragna's lack of a distance game...Irritating? Yes, but let's face it man, you got beat.

  • @numanuma250 umm, I actually won.

  • @Ultimaniacx4 Sorry...mind wandering haha. Personal life aside, I was just noting that Nu players pretty much have to use that tactic...I've yet to see a Nu player fight up-close that did not get destroyed (if you have a link to that, I'd LOVE to see it). Once again, I can admit when I've made a mistake...retract that last statement about you losing.

  • @numanuma250 Actually, I used to stubbornly play Nu like that, without keeping distance in a fight. I won more often then you might think. I wouldn't say I was particularly skilled with her though (mostly spammed a simple air combo). It's probably because people were expecting a zoning strategy and I just caught em off guard. Maybe I'll upload some of my older replays...

  • @numanuma250 Nu has a few good close range options. I frequently will go right up to an opponent with them. 4C and B are very fast close~middle range attack with pretty good priority also.

  • lol u mad 'cause u bad

  • this is not coward you have to see my Tager lag trick ...

how do I capture from PS3 anyway -*-

it was cheap and noone will ike me for showing it anyway (sigh)

  • If you always use Ragna as a primary then I'd spam his drive against a zoning Nu...keeps health high and will knock her health down quickly, but I would recomend, if online and going against a Nu that will possibly keep zoning, using Taokaka. Tao's drive is relying on speed, so you can easily keep up with a zoning Nu.

That's how I work it out anyway, I'm not a great gamer, I just know some small tactics ^^''

  • Well if you're spamming backdash I think you need another zoning technique, but regardless nu can't really do a whole lot up close. Still, Nu was totally OP so I dont care lol.

  • >most cowardly player EVER

    >trademark tactic

    What the fuck?

  • ITV:

If Ragna in corner: Dash back, mash Cross/A (D) and different directions.

If Nu in corner: Jump and dash over Ragna, mash Cross/A (D) and different directions.

  • lol u both fail

  • Cross platform with Calamity Trigger is BS.... if I wanted to hear whiny 360 kids and nerd rage I'd buy a Fail60... where the pc gamers at..

  • Comment removed

  • tbh the nu wasnt any better than you skillwise she just played an easier character to pick up.

  • well thats how ur supposed to use Nu. its like someone complaining that Zangief some street fighter only grapples... DUH! Nu is a long range character and she has low defense. wen shes far, she has the advantage. wen ur close to her, shes as good as dead as long as u dont her hit far away from her. i use Tager and i NEVER lose to Nu players

  • All I see is a good Nu?

  • @arethosetears Really? Where?

  • @Circuitous Winnig using zoning and sword summon!

  • Lol dis was funny at first to me xD Reminds me when me and my friend first played <3 Ragna Too Beast haha xD but Like i wasnt lik dis tho xD I never touched That Right Analog stick you did alot man xD i was lik dam spams and running omg xD hilarious hate nu players cuz noobs can just spam and win xD But man the laughin stop at 1:55 Den i Was In Cheerin Mode am Like OMG DNT DIE GET HER !! FUCK !! YOU CAN WIN OMG DNT DIE !! YESHHH THATS WHATSUP !! OWN HER BIG HEAD ! xD Even Wen you die i own Ya!

  • It is funny to read all this comments talking seriously about the game LOL. I saw the typical spammin technique used on all Fighting games. It is just like Ryu and Ken in SF IV Online gaming

  • @Pkmnrulz899 lolfactor is the only reason i haven't disabled comments XD

  • @Ultimaniacx4 Funny Is it not xD LOL. It is good to know that you got better now. Bad thing that I cannot have a real opinion bout the game, cuz I do not play it LOL

  • I don't mind people using Nu cleverly, but when they insist on spamming their drive over and over then that's just gay. Remember kids. Don't spam. It gives you AIDS.

  • He has unlimited ragna -_- cant even win hard nu player

  • @jamesmy123 who has unlimited ragna? this was a ranked match, no unlimited chars, and that is NOT a "hard nu player"...I don't know what you're trying to point out here either way, everyone here including myself has already made it obvious that i sucked bad when i recorded this.

  • @Ultimaniacx4

lol i could tell it wasnt unlimited ragna by the fact that he doesnt gain heat so quickly.

  • Glad you won that match. That's one of the reasons I disliked NU. It's much too easy to run with her, and when you use Ragna, it's a pain in the ass breaking through against the more experienced players.

  • lol, nu actually got negative penalty.

  • u noob cant even take down nu with Ragna Unlimited... I without unlimited can pwn umlimited Nu in HELL mode

  • @jamesmy123 uhhh dude this is online mode. that ragna is just a regular ragna.

  • @jamesmy123 hell mode isnt even that hard. Try fighting a try hard nu player.

  • duuuuuuude, dont spam inferno divider after 6D and everything should be alright.

  • I know, nu is so cheap, she refuses to just sit there to let good red blooded american ragnas do there memorized dash-mixup-repeat inputs. I mean come on. A real man would have tried to counter ragnas giant hitboxes with her giant hitboxes and let god decide who deserves the hit.

Good job, you beat a nu, but if your going to complain about a cheap strategy, you should figure out your own first. You won because you where unpredictable, and that was because you where mashing.

  • @checkplus Wow, this video really made you rage, huh? Calm down a little, it's an old video. I sucked then and I don't pretend I'm good now. I got annoyed cause the player just kept running back. Kinda remindeds me of when people use Bang's Fu Rin Ka Zan and just keep running till the timer runs out, that's all.

  • @Ultimaniacx4 lol, I definitely wouldn't say this video made me rage. I play rachel... I eat ragna for breakfast. You have to be a lot better than me to even have a chance with ragna, It's just an easy matchup. The thing that is funny to me isn't your skill, we all suck at first. It was that you thought you could judge cheapness when you where being equally as noobish. The game is broken, but not because people can run away.

  • @checkplus Now that makes a lot more sense than your first comment, good point =p

  • @Ultimaniacx4 Reminds me of Chun Li low kick in the old SF versions. There was a tournament that was won just by spamming low kick.

  • u cant judge a tactic no matter how cheap it is....if it works then use it.

  • u guys think players like buppa, zakiyama, dennou and kaqn can beat this kind of opponet??

  • you noob

  • @cubicdices iknorite? XD

  • I hope you realize Nu is played best with at a range.

    -_-

  • @FIipUoFF I hope you realize this is an old video. Also, IF someone gets close in wouldn't it be better to hit em with a 4B into air combo instead of backdashing over and over?

  • @Ultimaniacx4 Her 4B is pretty terrible, and won't hit a half decent player, so no.

  • @Bmeister42 meh, I've taken out many a noob with that strategy myself. guess i just never get matched with decent players...though i haven't really played in a while.

  • Most cowardly tactic in Blazblue: play V-13. lol.

  • a lot of nu's use this tactic. a lot of nus do it better than this one. i believe ragna is one of the best characters to fight against nu if you know how to keep pressure on them and punish any mistake that they make

  • sledge hammer > Nu

  • V-13 isn't too overpowered... Take her out as Ragna alot, it's a guessing game on her part from which way you'll approach, so mix it up.

  • They best balance that bitch into oblivion in Continuum Shift.

  • i believe they have

  • v13 is 4 noobs that can't play

  • I lol'd. That 'cowardly tactic' is called zoning, and it's really not overpowered. Use your head to get out of it.

And you can't 'burst too early' with Nu, because her low defense means one 'high-tier' combo will be the end of her if you don't.

  • @momiharukyochan Exactly. But idiots can never figure that out.

  • "run away and fire swords" is how Nu is supposed to play, it's called "zoning" controlling the battlefield so that you can make your opponent do what you want them to, I know it's stupidly too good, but it is beatable

*knows this was made close to console release*

  • Wow, she actually gets a penatly for playing too defensive. And she is bursting way too early as well o_o"

Anyways; I know how hard it can be touching Nu as Ragna at times - Pretty annoying.

I don't even think that "zoning only"-playstyle is very impressive or nice. I saw people using Nu with a mixup of melee'ing and faking zones - Those were awesome to fight against!

  • So, when you made this video you were a scrub who didn't understand that's how you play Nu. I sure hope you're better now.

  • @leonardobb Yes! I should have said it like that. Shortly after I recorded this video I actually picked up Nu as my main. These days I play Tao and I've started to pick up Rachel and Ragna again. And yes, though I wouldn't call myself "good" exactly, I am DEFINITELY better than I was here.

  • Ahhh, good then.

nu is still overpowered though xD. So I understand your pain.

  • @leonardobb Yeah, here's hoping they nerf the crap outta her in Continuum Shift XD

  • I think they actually replaced her for a similar character. lambda-something. He's like a nerfed version of Nu.

  • Mu-12, completely new unit, V-13 is still around.

  • @Kehlvowen Nah, wasn't it that they replaced Nu with Lambda? I figured Mu is like some kinda "awakened" Noel. Just look at her.

  • @Ultimaniacx4

Mu -12- is just gunna be another Nu/Lambda character, but with some added moves. As for Lambda, she's just an upgraded version of Nu with some new moves.

  • lol at the title and description. was she supposed to stand there and let you hit her? XD

  • LOL at the so aggressive

  • fuck me, seems this video is old? Allow me to shut my mouth. Carry on! :D

  • Lol, it's cool. As you might expect, I am better now. I main Tao these days, though I'm still not really "high tier' yet.

  • .... Errrrrr, I'm not sure what to say about this vid. Really.

  • why do people insist on telling people how to play? you have people that are bad at the game and people that are good at it. i play with my friends at school and they are impatient with the controls, i know its annoying to see someone raping the concept but to understand a move you have to know what it does. i use to play with jin and from using his moves repeatedly i was able to hold back ice car, double swipe, and freeze chains. its ok to spam, not like your gonna play with them anyways o.O

  • Honestly? Both of you are pretty bad. I don't say this (purely) to be a dick, but neither of you is very good. Main advice for you would be to learn the range and timing of your OWN attacks before trying to memorize nu's. More overall improvement for the effort. Really the main problem you were having was timing, both your character and theirs. You only need to get in once on nu.

  • Agreed. I pretty much suck at this game and I could level the field with either of you. :(

  • You've obviously never heard of zoning. There is no cheap in fighting games. The stuff that's obviously broken is banned from competitive play. It's your fault for sucking at blocking. >_>

  • how do you deal with nu? learn how to ib, and learn the openings in her sword strings and iad in, once you get in her face she's done.

  • lol, yeah, that's pretty much the point of the character. keep you way over there, where you can't hurt her.

But that's not the most cowardly blazblue tactic. The most cowardly is picking unlimited Rachel or ragna, then setting the rounds to one and the timer to 30 seconds.

This has happened to me. I laugh when I win anyway.

  • If you ask me, all Nu players end up playing cheap like that. But that's just my opinion. No replies nor ratings please.

  • i had the same issue when i first started to play online. first match i got has a lvl 15 Nu that did the same thing. anyway i agree with the other learn to control your character and if you want inspiration go check out some combos on youtube that mite help you.

  • You had the right idea about air dashing in, but your combos and moves are all random, learn to control your character and you can take her down easy as cake. I play Ragna, Hakumen and I wanna learn Jin somewhat.

  • I'm more of a Tao player these days anyway, And I just got off of maining Nu so I can pretty much predict most of her combos and other moves now.

  • I thought that was obvious from the video info.

  • actually Nu was kinda decent in the first round, zoning-wise. She got too defensive, spammed a lot of 214D, whiffed, etc. in the latter rounds, hence you won.

Also, spamming 2A is a no-no unless it's necessary. think of all the prorating.

  • Why'd you post this. You ended up winning...

and like people below me had posted. That's how you play with with Nu, if you get close with her, she doesn't do so well. If you think playing long distance with Nu is wrong, then so is playing close with Tager.

  • no that's not how you play as Nu, i've seen Nu's that barely ever use the sword drive at all, this one just ran away to the other side of the screen while she spammed swords and that was it.

  • The noob Nu is pretty weak...the real Nu players take advantage of every hit. Think the noob sword spam bad, wait until you met the smart sword spam. Anyway learn the matchup, because most of your attacks were pretty random...

  • u know, if u run in & use the dash jumps a bit more, you can get in on her & do some serious pounding

  • Bro my second online fight I beat a level 40 and hit level 10. You don't have any excuses. That's how she's supposed to be used you little whiner. Her best moves are long range so why the shit wouldn't she run back

  • It's her existence as a Boss character who combos with 2 buttons that's the issue here. "That's how she supposed to be used"? Just becasue you can spam the living hell out of her doesn't mean you SHOULD. It's like bringing a gun to a knife fight; Yeah ,you'll win but who's gonna respect you?

  • Respect? Isnt the point of fighting to survive and win....fuck respect. and this Nu and ragna sucked. Nu spam drive was garbage. Ragna didnt eve know wut he was doing.

  • First of all, that's how Nu plays, attacking from distance. Second, how could you lose to that Nu? That guy barely knows how to combo someone.

  • Not a bit fan of Nu's shenanigans.

  • Nu and Hakumen ... are broken. End of story.

  • If you mean Hakumen is broken as in the broken-crying-child-in-the-corner kind of broke, then yes, he is broken.

  • Nu= If it doesnt work the first time...try and try and try again. It annoys me

  • Neh I dont like Nu that much but yea she is more of a long distance attacker although she does have taht aggressive near swipe attack and that teleporation (btw that together is hell) Ne I match my Tao against a Nu, works all the time but Jin's my main.

  • Well... my main is Hakumen, and my friends is V-13, and I can easily say that a 4 heat combo from him puts Nu to half-health. It's just the fact that her defense is extremely weak that you would need to play in that tactic. Seriously though... if it were a Tager fighting her, it would of been worse : / Tager's quarter circle B cut's through her swords like rice-paper!

  • Nu is not the problem, Jin is. He's too balanced for meh.:P

  • Jin ain't balanced :P

  • Don't lie to me!!!>:)

  • Did you expect Nu to just stand there and let you hit her? She's SUPPOSED to play keepaway!

  • Not the way I play her. I only summon swords when my opponent just happens to be far enough or if I combo into them.

  • Nu's attacks reminds me of Ulquiorra. just like an Arrancar in Bleach.

  • Reminds me more of Byakuya's Senkei Senbozakura Kageyoshi, his giant wall of swords.

  • Don't worry....I hope Mori revises the whore.

  • you live and you learn it is good to see that you main her now.

  • Thats how you play Nu. And...learn some cpmbos.

  • agh! I specially hate this when both players need one hit to seal the match.

  • You had about a million opportunities to punish her backdash. Hell's Fang anyone?

And Nu's main game is zoning, that is, being on the other side of the screen and raping you with swords. It's your job to make sure you're in her face all the time and punishing.

And yeah. That Nu player isn't even very good.

  • Yeah looking back now, I can see that. But like I said, this was my 6th online fight, also it was my first time fighting her outside arcade mode. I can handle most Nu players now, 200+ fights under my belt =) Ironically, Nu is now my main =/

  • Jump on dat tierwagon boy

  • I think I'd be embarrassed if i ever posted something like this, I'm surprised you still haven't just taken it down...

  • Meh, there's no reason to be embarrassed. I'd be embarrassed if it was like, my 200th match maybe.

  • Needs more Fuurinkazan.

  • nu's just good for locking people at range. getting in close to her is a bitch.

its not really cowardice but the player is just using her long range
