I am a recovered fibromyalgic who left the care of the medical profession to discover the cause and cure for this horrific disease after 15 years of failed treatments. I understand this illness completely from the inside and back out again. Symptoms are often mistaken as a cause and what can help does not cure. Please, do not give up and keep going. See my You Tube video "Curing Chronic Fibromyalgia - Choosing What Works" and my best wishes to you all!!!

@ironbith I am now on my fifth year of the Guai Protocol, and I no longer wake up with headaches. So, it is by no means a fast protocol, but well, I must say it is nice not to have to take painkillers as soon as I get out of bed. I am trying to remember exactly when my morning headaches stopped. I guess it must have happened gradually, because I can't remember when I stopped taking morning painkillers. I just know I haven't had a morning headache in a very long time.
@FallaciesDetective Hello! Yes, sometimes we do have to be our own detectives. The way medical insurance is set up right now, doctors only have a few minutes with us before they have to be off to the next patient. It is not very much time to diagnose a complex condition like fibromyalgia. So, we do need to be our own medical advocates. I am glad you we are able to find some answers. You will need to keep being proactive as you search for the best treatment that works best for you. -D.
Thanks for your video Diana. Well done. I showed it to my wife to understand fibro better. I have a question, you may know the answer. I am just diagnosed and trying to to adapt to the guai protocoll. Because everything is prohibited which contains gel, oil and extract in its name, is fish oil prohibited as well? Thanks. Louis.
@faiskola Hello! Fish oil is OK if you are taking it as a food supplement. You cannot split open the caplets and rub it on your skin, but you probably weren't planning on doing that anyway. :) Sorry for the delay in answering your question. I just noticed it now. There is a terrific Guai Support Group, called "the GuaiGroup." Just Google the Guai Group, and you can sign up. It's free, and it is a great place to ask questions. Hope you are feeling better!
I was just diagnosed as having fibromyalgia this last week. my doctor told me people who are mentally weak get this disease. That made me feel bad as I don't view myself as mentally weak or crazy. Anyway I'm still not sure exactly what I have and what to do about it... thanks for taking the time to make this video
I am 27 years old and I am acutually one of the very few male patients that have fibro and must say that watching this makes me forget about the pain the comes in spurts.I also belive that cat's are very theraputeic for those who have fibro.Thank you for posting it is really helpful
Thank you! I'm so glad it was helpful! I can imagine that men with fibromyalgia have a particularly difficult path, both in terms of finally being accurately diagnosed, and then dealing with the stigma of a disease people associate with women. One gentleman who belongs to our GuaiGroup support group said his doctor actually handed him a brochure that said: "Fibromyalgia- A Woman's Disease!" And, the doctor thought that he was being helplful! Uggghhh!
You know, bethatone, that gives me an idea. I don't know if you have a webcam, but have you ever considered doing YouTube videos for guys with fibromyalgia? You could simply call it "Fibromyalgia Guys." As far as I know, there is very little support out there aimed specifically at men with fibro. Networking other fibro guys together could be hugely helpful for all of you. - Diana
Mary- So glad you enjoyed it! I guess you don't appreciate what you have until it is gone. Gradually getting my health back has been a true joy, and made me appreciate the little things in life-- like simply waking up without a headache, or being able to walk up a flight of stairs without stiffness. I guess that's the source of my joy. :) Thanks for writing. - Diana
I know this alllllllll too well. Six back surgeries, Fibromyalgia and RA have really done a number on me ~ I am trying to get my life back & keep searching for things that may help. I want the things that you described....it's only a matter of figuring out how to get well. I'm sick of narcotics & pain patches & all the other crapola!!!
Do you have fibromyalgia? If you have any questions regarding fibromyalgia, I would be happy to answer them. However, I'd have to ask that you refrain from using obscenities when posting. Otherwise, I'll have to block you, or mark you as a spammer. Thank you in advance for your cooperation. Thank you. - Diana
Now, now, now, my cats are actually fun, playful animals. We actually have two black cats, but they are so identical that even we have trouble telling them apart at times. With regards to killing myself, yes, in all honesty, there was a time in my life that my fibromyalgia was so severe that I was seriously depressed. Suicide is the #1 cause of death amongst people with fibromyalgia. It is the reason I spend so much time reaching out to folks with fibro. I hope to spread hope. :) - Diana
your videos are so inspiring! i have it as well and im only 18 so.... to have somebody to sort of "look up to" in a way is nice... thanks for your videos!
I believe in chiropractic, and went for about 20 years. But, my fibro advanced to the point that my muscle spasms knocked my back out of adjustment again within 1 -3 hours. Short of having the chiropractor move in with me, it didn't make sense to get adjusted, since my locked-up muscles just yanked everything back out of place. I figured I needed to find out WHY my muscles were locking up. Solve the root cause. I do think chiropractic's a good thing, though. -D.
it is, of course, possible that some other factor has damaged your thyroid , however, it is still likely that nerve interference is the primary source of the trouble. you should be aware that not all "chiropractic" is the same- is focused on, or achieves the same goal.
No argument from me. :) It is a very old and time honored form of healing. I would trust it over pill-pushing "modern" medicine any day. If I were to be stranded on a desert island, I would pick a DC over an MD in a heartbeat.
OK, I was just watching my own video again, and my goodness I was full of energy on this day. I've actually had a lot more days like this one, as my fibro keeps getting better and better. And, just as a side note, my Sunday School kids DID reach their goal and fund that entire well for that village in Papua New Guinea. I'm so proud of my kids! Now, we're trying to think of a new project to tackle...
