the idea was, they were making the anime version this scene is from while the manga was still incomplete, they got ahead of the manga so went on their own path. then the manga finishes, and it's two separate storylines, they end up restarting the Anime with Hellsing Ultimate and follow the manga much more closely

That just an ounce of power the TV Series had over OVA/Ultimate, at least for me personally :p

Strong scenes, not just in the way of more brutal and violent fighting, but some fucked up brutal choices of words and decisions, nothing there was too kid friendly even the humor was more or less subtle than the OVA/Ultimate series ;)

Again, this is just how I like them both, since TV series were Abolished to hell I see no reason to start anything.

I just hope it will come back someday :)

@BreaktheChainsofFate Without the Hellsing TV Series, I don't think the Ultimate series would even exist this day, Hellsing TV is basically what introduced an audience to the Hellsing story.. It is also most likely that after seeing Gonzo's work, OVA saw potential in this and started the Ultimate series.

People don't give the original as much credit as it deserves, only because its inferior in action segments. That's rather sad and pathetic of them, if you asked me ..

Here's a hint; Nazi Vampire Army. Yup, that's your villains. And then half the series is a three-sided war in Britain. Four, if you count Alucard as his own side.
