Listen, all you idiot doubters, I am one of the "founding fathers" of this over-powered brushless on land stuff, along with the JANG, Promod, Outkast666, etc. While I still have the site up, check out all my early 2000's speed-tests at rcnuts [dawt] com/speedtests.htm
If you have the New Waterproof E-Maxx #3905 it will cost about $260 for the NOVAC 6.5 HV brushless setup. If you have the Older E-Maxx #3906 it will cost more because you will NEED to put Steel Idler gears in the Tranny and Upgrade your Driveshafts and Axles
the reason I say cause i can set it beside my savage x and it is larger than the savage it is wider and longer . So the older emaxx is 1/10th but the newer is 1/8th just like the New T-maxx is really a 1/8th
My fastest would do over 70. That was a stadium truck. My fastest eMaxx did just over 60. I was working on beating a record so everything was GPS tested including this one, numb-nuts.
If you don't know who HiAmplidude is, you're a greenie who needs to check yourself. I was one of the pioneers of effective and extreme brushless land RC.
Checked out the components on your site for the emaxx, must be pretty heavy...that bomb proof chassis looks strong, wonder how it compares in strength to the ue thunder. 8 spyder diffs too...pretty much necessary with the torque of a brushless system. What are you using for batts in this featured E?
No kidding. HAHAHA. I wish I had some footage of my faster truck doing a 60.1 MPH pass. That was something to behold. I do have some decent dirt passes with that other truck though. Check out my other vids.
*SEVERAL* thousand. Not "seven" thousand. Read before posting. And, yes, this was an expensive project. This video is of one of my earlier experimental brushless trucks that had top-o' everything, plus prototype one-of-a-kind transmission gears, and prototype rear drive shaft made just for this truck.
You people are amazing. GPS doesn't lie. I have another Maxx that did 60.1. The whole f'ing purpose of this project was to beat a world-record with a "bashable" monster truck.
what cause traxxas says so every so often there speed goes up as they come out new stuff so what u saying if traxxas doesnt sell it or state on site and or box that it isnt true or whatever you guys r noobs nothing else have fun driving ur stock junk truck while we enjoy record beatting speeds whats he to gain out of lying its not like he try saying 80 plus miles and hour
50.4 MPH GPS onboard in the video. Would've been slightly faster not hauling the GPS unit. I've been over 60 MPH with a different truck on a single Hacker XL/Schulze waffle setup.
Nice. How much does a set up like this cost? I've had a Stampede since November last year and got a ton of use out of it. I got an XTM X-Cellerator and it's nice. I'd like to go electric again next time.
This truck was running dual BL motors and dual competition BL controllers. Very expensive. Not to mention all the drive-train beef-ups necessary to handle that kind of pressure. I won't say a dollar figure, but you can be sure it's in the several thousand $ range for this setup. I built a different truck with a single BL system that was actually more expensive and faster. Cheers -HiAmp
It is most definitely 50.4 MPH. The truck is huge which may result in scale looking "off". Those passes were made with a high-end Garmin GPS strapped to the truck for the sole purpose of accurately clocking speed for my web site. Thanks for your interest and comment.
you can go 50+mph with one monster mamba motor running 6s lipo...so why have two motors?

Absolutely pointless. 2 motors, 24 cells...? WHY? TOo much weight, thats whats slowing you down.

Yes is more fast than the video.

emaxxes are 1/10 fyi
drok169 4 years ago
Not when they're stretched more than 2 inches and widened 1.5. Thanks for sharing the brilliantness though.
HiAmplidude 3 years ago
very true...just pointing out for those less brilliant..lol it was misleading. thanks for the specs though!
drok169 3 years ago
i find it hard to say that e-maxxs are 1/10...compare the specs to a hpi savage and they're VERY similar and a savage is 1/8

I beg to differ the new 3905 is really a 1/8th

If I remember correctly, this one was running custom 12 each (24 total) cells, Sanyo 3300 NiMH from promatch racing.

actually the truck is an 8th scale stock. its the body they call a 10th scale. a revo 3.3 is actually a 7th scale but an 8th scale body.

i thought you weren't suppose to run two brushless together? Dose it work good for you?
McKeever14 4 years ago
Each motor needs its own separate controller. Yes, it works great. But, I prefer 1 very big motor/controller over 2 smaller systems.
HiAmplidude 4 years ago
the e maxx is 1/10 scale
breitenbach13 4 years ago
This truck is extended 2+ inches along with width and other increases that no longer qualifies it for 10th scale.
