  • Thank you for sharing!! I am a HUGE sucker for a love story..it made me cry!!! How sweet that you honor your parents this way!( I was on born Wednesday April 27th 1960)

    Thanks again!!!

  • Beautiful. It shows that love never dies. It is even now continuing with you, their sons. I love the old-fashioned feel, with even the beautiful old liturgy and vestments at the wedding. If we are really honest, everyone wants in their own lives what your parents so clearly had. Thank you for allowing us to see a little bit of it.

  • How beautiful this tribute is....it brought me to tears.

  • Was your mother married before? Because she is not wearing white and most brides did in those days unless married before. This is very nice. I wish I could do it with my parents married in 1947 but I only have one posed still.

  • Interesting comment, SuperYantz. That struck me as well when I saw these pictures for the first time and when I asked my mother, she told me it would have been hypocrite of her to wear white because it was her first marriage but she had made love to dad during the engagement. I must have been 7 when she explained this and took her word without really understanding what she meant. Later, I realized what a brave step she took showing the world she was not a virgin when she married in 1960.

  • God Bless you for doing this for your parents. I'm sure they would have been very moved by it. You did your parents proud. Please let me add also that your mother is classically beautiful.

  • Thank you for the very enthusiastic comment, Sharimax. Mother was really aware of her no-nonsense beauty: imagine a 5'8" young girl at a time when the average height for a woman in Italy was 5'4" and for a man 5'7". She told me she had problems finding the right man for her because they were always smaller than her :). Until she met someone who was not only her height, but whom she fell in love with there and then. And they loved each other, till death did them part.

  • What I think sets her beauty off is the way she doesn't try to hide that she is tall. She chose a hat that actually accentuated it rather than hide it. Your mom had a special kind of grace....proud yet not haughty. A deep and quiet kind of beauty. I'm sure your father saw that too.

  • Nice. Heartfelt. Look like kind and good people. Bless you.

  • I just stumbled across this video and decided, what the hell, I'll watch it.

I have to say that it is soooo beautiful.

The chronological pictures of the couple getting married, the kids involved and the ultimate union is so beautiful. Brought tears to my eyes, and I don't even know anyone in the pics.

Thanks so much for posting this, it was wonderful to watch.

  • Thank you Mabon! I do appreciate your heartfelt comment.

  • Thank you so much for sharing this treasured video with us , Beautifully done! Rachel

  • oh thats so beautiful.....it makes me cry when i think about my parents who are stil with us thank god, im so sorry for you lost

  • Great video! It is a wonderful love story! Are you any relations to the Giovagnoli's in Sandusky?

  • I don't think so...my uncle Renato Giovagnoli was my aunt's first husband, he died in the late 70s at 55, and unfortunately I don't know much about his family background. He might have had relatives who emigrated to the US, but I cannot confirm that. Thank you for your nice comment.

  • got maried on 4/20

  • Paco, I dedicate this song to you. You are and always will be my true love.

  • Browsing Barbra Streisand videos I found yours. I like the Sixties atmosphere that is typical of the photos of those years. And if you are the acintoli I suppose, I also remember your parents. Thank you and a presto...

  • Wow this is really beautiful, it brought tears to my eyes! Thanx 4 posting this up.

  • That is beautiful. Made me teary and wistful. Perfect job.

  • Very beautiful, I've watched this a few times now. Its amazing how pictures can allow you a small glimpse into the lives of people you've never met. I am sorry for your loss but may God allow them to live on in your heart.

  • Thank you Ceo. My parents WILL live on in my heart forever, it couldn't be otherwise, as they're those who brought me into this world and showed me the way. I am glad you enjoyed this slideshow.

  • very nice video... great job ^__^

  • Thank you very much. I really appreciate it.

  • Sorry that your parents passed away, however the video was simply beautiful!

  • Thank you Cocochica. I appreciate your comment.

One of the oldest forms of technology, photography, helps us remember the ones we miss, while contemporary software like iPhoto helps us translate our memories into a creative process we may share with other people.

However, the latter is useless without the earlier, that's why we should always try to preserve our pictures the best way we can and use the available technologies to continue and improve the preservation process.

  • Thank you, Sullyrock!

  • very touching- well done- bravo

  • WELL DONE

    I WAS TOUCHED TO TEARS

    YOU REALLY A GREAT JOB

    THEY WOULD HAVE LOVED IT

i TOO HAVE BEEN SEARCHING OLD PHOTOS OF LOVE ONES PASSED AND YOUVE INSPIRED ME TO DO A VIDEO AS SOON AS I FIGURE IT OUT

  • Thank you, Carmen!

I am sure your heart will suggest what photos to choose and how to present them in your slideshow. Technically speaking, I would definitely suggest you use a Mac and iPhoto, which helped me make this presentation a breeze, concentrating on the artistic effect more than on the technical glitches. The hardest part was probably scanning the photo set, because the paper is becoming oxidized and has curved due to improper maintenance.

  • I loved it. You can feel the emotion of the day.

  • Thank you Marililly. That's exactly what I wished to convey through the actual wedding pictures and the most beautiful photos of my parents' later years together. It's encouraging to know that I was able to convey my feelings to you through this slideshow.

  • this is great ^_^

  • Thank you so much. I really appreciate your comment.

  • amazing!

  • Thanks! Very kind of you!
