Yes it would be easier with more control and no mix up with sticks and would seem like a good idea but hitting cymbals with your hands is a bad idea >_>. I would think that sticks need alot more control and flexibility with wrists and fingers, involving more micromanagement!

reason: drum sticks arent easy peices of wood to use on a drumset, beleive it or not, it requires 1/3 of your drumming skill, you need to know the way how to use every single finger of yours to hit a drum note. not really easy now ey? you have to make your fingers (mostly index and middle finger) move in alot of funky ways in order to do good drum beat patterns, go ahead, ask a drummer if its true

you see, once you get good with the ''feel'' in your nerves that use the sticks to hit the pads. you need to learn the ''double'' stroke wich you may have heard of. if your right handed then you have to learn the double stroke with your left. for the ones who are left handed. its the oppisite way. trust me it help you in this song and plenty of others too.
