AE86 body with pop up lights are called trueno's.

AE86 body with normal front lights is called a Levin.

The Australian released model only had normal front lights. It was just called a toyota sprinter. they only release about 1500 of them.

Most truenos and levins here these days are japanese imports

There are a few Aust spec sprinters around that have been modified with parts from a front cut trueno. Seems like a lot of trouble to go too though for pop up lights.

I'd rather sell my sprinter and put in some extra cash to buy an import.

The corolla and truenos are basically the same just different names.

They call it the corolla also in the US and came in 2 trims which was the SR5 and the GT-S which had the same engine the Trueno had.

I kind of agree with you, if you're going to build a car like an ae86, at least use a somewhat original engine. i can understand like a starlet or something with this swap but idk about an ae86, those cars were almost build to drive sideways (drift)

people make v8 turbos, theres a R34 with a LS1 twin turbo on it, its for drift, got plenty of torque.

I dont want it to come back. it will be ugly nothing will ever beat that classic beautiful design! the taillights are so perfect and its porsche-like shape. also it wont use a jz. i doubt toyota can build something better. That lexus lf-a they say is the next supra with its v10 or maybe the ft-hs but thats a v6 hybrid crap. But i bet its the lf-a cuz nsx is comin out with a v10, rx7 is comin back, and the gt-r so that only leaves toyota outta the game.

Beautiful no question. No Mazda is actually going to bring back the rx-7. Its gonna be better than the RX-8. Also they cant make another Supra. Its gonna have to be called something else just like the Nissan GT-R. They cant call it the Skyline so they call it the GT-R. Closest thing to the new Supra is either that lexus LF-A or the Toyota FT-HS.

Yeh these a V8 S13 silvia drift car going around in the series.. Also i havn't looked into it but theres a new series with the V8 Giants and the turbo.."Giant killers" both in the same category. Its defently on, i just havn't looked into it yet. I think there gonna be down at calder soon too actually.

The V35 isn't really in the same family though as the other skylines, the R35 however is :) If you look it up on google looks like the V35 is more of a family car, R35 much more sporty.
