  • I would love this and I'm 15 so there's a large, wide audience.

  • Go on ebay, I see retro games there all the time. Many times for 20-30 bucks or under if you know where to look. There is no reason for Nintendo to make more.

  • Personal favorite for portability: emulation players.

  • Contra FTW!!! 4:28

  • there is a remake but it's not made by Nintendo Generation NEX

  • I doubt they might do something like that.

  • @supermonkey9700 Theres nothing like going back to the good old days when games were original and fun. Now games are mostly about war or some type of conflict. Rarely I find good original games.

  • Omg at 2:46 I had a small heart attack, I thought you were gonna bash that cart into that thing.

  • SACNSNES: Super Awesome Chuck Norris Sponsored Nintendo Entertainment System

    (the best one ever!)

  • I just don't understand why people love games sooo old! When we have amazing games now. . .

  • @supermonkey9700 Like what? War fps games? That's pretty much all there is anymore. Back then, games actually took brains to play. Now, you just aim and shoot. Also, more thought was put into games from the past, such as level / character design. Graphics aren't everything. I chose game content over graphics.

  • @ObsessedWithNES SNES was the best

  • @supermonkey9700 nostalgia

  • IGN is retarded.

  • A nice thought but i dont foresee it happening.

  • I have a real SNES :)

  • @DarkRetroFan64 I have a real NES! :D

it still works. I like playing Zelda and Kirby on it. :P

  • @khoraski There's nothing like playing the games on the GENUINE consoles. Forget these third-party console-clones, they don't even work very well anyway. If you're gonna use one of those things you might as well just save money and use an emulator.

  • @DarkRetroFan64 I don't have a third-part console you retard. I have a genuine NES. -_-

  • @khoraski i never said you did.

  • @DarkRetroFan64 are you trying to be a faggot?

  • @khoraski Huuuur duuurrrrrrrr, HE WAS AGREEING WITH YOU!

  • @catstrut713 some people are just so idiotic it makes me not want to live on this planet anymore.

  • @khoraski coming from a guy calling someone a retard and faggot when he was agreeing with you, not opposing you as you'd thought.

    Whoosh.

    Please do leave the planet.

  • P-NES Power nintendo entertainment system

  • ANUS

    Awesome Nintendo Ultra System.

  • 2:05 Guy on the left: I AM GOING TO RAPE YOU WHILE YOU SLEEP

  • @JoshysHomeMadeVideos 4:23 is just as creepy O_o

  • Many of the retro controllers sold on Amazon.com are junk, clones made in China. Really lame attempts at Nintendo's real controls. Just buy a used one, or digital versions. Save ur cash!

  • it would be cool but the tv wires would have to be different flat screens dont have that kind of connection or mad it hd with a hdmi, composite/component port that would be nice

  • @tomtom2390 what are you talking about? all systems had composite back to the nes. last i checked lcd tv's had composite and rf if you used that. i am happy with my sd 27 inch crt tv though with rf analog cable and composite inputs. it has s-video and component but they are still in sd.

  • @james42519 mine didnt so i didnt know that so im going to see if i can find a cable thanks

  • @tomtom2390 well the front loading nes does. it has the RF on the back and composite on the right. red is audio and white is video. nintendo used a odd color scheme for composite.

  • holy poop i want one

  • This could sell. My dad and I were at the store and he only played Pong and Asteroids ( great games btw). He saw some Atari 2600s that were remakes with games pre loaded like asteroids. He bought it and it is the only video games I play with my dad. This would appeal to those who aren't gamers, but were once kids.

  • i have a snes controller that works with pc emulations. i win

  • thumbs up if you took the annotations off just to see his hair.

  • @lawlsitsmatt Really? Nintendo hasn't had an original idea? Because the Playstation Move is nothing like the Wiimote. And Xbox Kinect is nothing like PS Eye. I dont see sony or microsoft using 3D technology on any console.

Now shut the fuck up and go be a fanboy somewhere else.

  • @VKSmovies I think he meant game-wise most of what they put out are remakes(re-imagenings) and honestly 3-D isn't that inovative. Both the xbox and the PS3 have 3-D games on them (batman for example), Nintendo just took it one step further and devoted an entire console to it. However Resident evil revilations looks funner than uncharted GA so i've got my 3Ds on stand by :D

  • 4:00 did anyone els hear the creepy laugh?

  • what is the point of me getting the hyperkin if i already have an NES, SNES, and don't want to play a genisis?

  • you know that was a very interesting topic. i can see why people want the older generation consoles because of it's sentimental values and classical experince. that is pretty amazing how they have a console that can play 3 different system games.

  • I have that system but its red

  • Why not remake them but install the old games to the system

  • joe from joe and mac!! i forgot about that game thx

  • i have an nes that works, why would i need a remake of it?

  • If they were to do this, I think they should take a note from the recent revival of vinyl records.

When you buy a new record, it will usually contain a download code allowing you to get a digital copy (also portable) of the album for free. Now let's apply that to reissued retro games: If one were to buy a physical cart (let's say Super Mario Bros. 3), the package would contain a download code. Ideally, the code would provide a portable version on 3DS.

  • UNES

    Ultimate Nintendo Entertainment System.

  • so hipster i shit myself

  • Mustache o.o

  • I understood nothing other than that guy hair is wierd. :D

  • dameons mug looks like phil from the hangover

  • i think it would be cool to get a new nes, considering ive had 3 broken ones. but then finding an original would be such a biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitch

  • @johnforthewin1 i bet all 3 of those work still. you just need to replace the 72 pin connector which is easy. can look up online for the connector and how to do it. as easy as installing ram in a computer or something

  • well ataris resold a 2600 with 60 games inbuilt

  • I wish I could buy a Nintendo 64 portable that had all the great N64 games build right in to the system!

  • Clone consoles dont play games like star fox, castlevania 3, and its not the smae, the portable systems are ok in my mind since they were never made

  • You can buy one, not from nintendo, remakes for sale. I can get a nes for $10 at a flea market

  • I would Buy one!!

  • Jazzy1236825 nes stands for nintendo entertainment system

  • Holyshitisthatamastersword.

  • Looks like captainsparkelz

  • I always play my grandmas old one, she used to play lolo. I love it

  • @Thalmoral that just sounds wierd

  • Contra theme is cool, but better with a guitar. longestsoloever ftw.

  • Retro Gamers - VG hipsters.

  • Wow I still have that stone-age console in my closet.

  • I asked once in an email, the person said it was out of production and it was very unlikely they'll ever remake it. No joke.

  • gotta love the NES-101. I love mine.

  • wasup everybody ray william johnson here.....o wait..... its not him

  • what is a nes?

  • @jazzy1236825 A wonderful little pile of awesome.

  • @jazzy1236825 You must be 5.

  • @jazzy1236825 you look it up yet? can't be that hard to figer out. nintendo entertainment system. before you ask snes is super nintendo entertainment system

  • Ideally I'd rather just have more quality downloadable titles available legally online, and a way to transfer your games, your library, over from one system to another (that is, if you have an account with Nintendo, you could download your NES games to more than just the Wii, but also 3DS, PC, PS3, etc). I don't like how they're system-locked and how few games they offer.

  • One problem is that to truly remake it they need to use the old chips, which are no longer manufactured. It would actually be expensive to re-manufacture them just for this purpose, such as the 6502 chip in the NES. However the Atari Flashback 2.0 did use real Atari hardware and it was recently released (a few years back). Looking into how well it sold could be a clue to how much Nintendo and Sega could make.

  • @chevyGamul The Retron and other clone systems are "NES on a chip," or a kind of emulation.

Not that emulation is bad, per se. Good emulation is great. Was really happy with the Neo Geo Station on PSN -- just want more games!

  • Games are not movies,,we used to love retro games because we did not have the g

  • Yes... I grew up with it.

  • Just like the NES that mustache died 20 years ago :)))

  • @mosteanuv contrary to what people try and say systems don't die. they will always be around and played.

  • nice aphex twin jacket :D

  • I'm gonna look for that SupaBoy right now

  • I wonder how much it costs Nintendo to make a Wii console compared to how much it would cost to make a NES console. Something tells me it would cost more to make the bulkier NES but maybe I'm wrong.

  • I want my SNES back! Dx

  • @AirFluffy better start looking in thrift stores and goodwill then. guess can get online too but that isn't as fun i think.

  • @james42519 I never see any..lol, but yeah, getting it online isn't as fun.

  • my sega still works, my most beloved games for it is x-men 2 clone wars, nfl 95, sonic 2 and some others that played but never own.

  • If they remade the SNES with a network capability. I would pay for that.

  • AVGN even has a nes toaster

  • the angry video game nerd has a super genintari which can play NES, SNES, Genesis, and Atari 2600 games BUY ME THAT!!!!

  • My cousin lives in Mexico City and he bought a nes in the box brand new but I think its a clone but if it is a clone its one Hell of a clone looks the same

  • I can't stop staring at this guy's hair.

  • @ContemPlato5616 it so wavy lmao

  • @ContemPlato5616

    and his mustache:P

  • silly hair, lol!

  • i think i might buy myself one hyperkin retron 3... if i have enough money

  • With out level of technology, there's no point in making a console sized platform, for something that needs a hardware that we've been able to make for 8 year old cellphones.

    I mean, just come on.

  • N64 remake, with Perfect Dark and GoldenEye bundled with it, nuff' said.

  • If they re-maid the system, they would have to remake the games as well, so it would be a waste if time and money. Unless they made cartridges with multiple games on it, that would be super cool. Or what would be really sweet is if they re-maid the system to look the same, but made it to play disks instead of cartridges so they could store a lot of games on each disk. Ok I'm just rambling at this point, I'm done.

  • I love the hyrulian shield in the background. I want it!!!!

  • i grew up with the old systems, but i have to disagree with this(u are supposed to move forward, not backwards, even though this vid is a"what if",i doubt it would happened cuz these companies move forward)going back to old will never happen,if it did it would destroy the industry, standards changed & technology improves for the better(even if u took care of old things, they would deteriorate, everything does)i like old & new games, keep the old as memories & continue improving this amazing industry.

  • that game goes for 600 ducks bran new like still raped in case

  • @yoeycrack1 Learn to spell. Then learn what raped means...

  • @SharpFPShooter your cool

  • why dont they just remake the games? and have them a download content on the nintendo shop on the wii or 3ds shop, cuz that would be awesome playing the snes games onthe go on the 3ds, i mean they put some old games (such as metroid II:return of samus and super mario land) on the 3ds online store, why dont they just do that? saves time and money into making the nes systems and cartridges, but wouldnt mind buying a new (ish) one

  • I would buy a nes if they remade it

  • Yup for 50 bux

  • remake it but with a single cartridge that has all NES games in it

  • Why do they need to remake it? You can easily find an old one on Amazon that works great. I still have my original NES that I got in '86 and my original SNES that I got in '91. Both survived my childhood and still work like new. I wish I could say the same for the broken 360 in my closet.

  • @Django333 my 360 is 5 years old still going and elite is 3 now learn to take care of your consoles new hardware demands more care.

  • @Django333 come to think... Xbox360 Lifetime: 1-4 Years, NES Lifetime: +20 years and counting... XD

  • @Django333 Well they could have HDMI output which could give them crystal-clear graphics like playing Neo Geo Station on PSN or other old games on today's download services -- also the newer the hardware the more reliable.

  • @Django333 Well it would open it up to newer generation of gamers. Also ive heard of nes's starting to malfuntion because of age. I would enjoy buying a new one because my first system was the ps1 so it would be nice but probaly not happen :/

  • @Django333 Well since they stopped making them the prices probably went up, and even if a lot work well some people could still get ripped off by buying a damaged one. And there's a limited supply so if people on Amazon stop selling them then they'll become even more hard to come by.

  • @Django333 because, Nintendo always remake shit, they havn't come out with an original idea in ages

  • teh portable supernintendo looks cool I will not play it but it will look nice to collect nice stuff

  • Build that Nintendo like right now COME ON NINTENDO DO IT!!!!!!!

  • Re-subbed due to being against SOPA and PIPA

  • @532131 apparently you have never played super mario world on the super nintendoit was one of the greatest games ever in my book so was donkey kong country and its about playing games that are classics man I bet your some 12 yearold whos first system was the N64 or the PS1 lol u missed out

  • @Bigben028STL If you can read right, I said, 99% of the games are pieces of shit. Now the games that you mentioned are only a portion of the whole NES library. No, I am not 12 year old, I am actually 21 and I had NES as my first gaming console.

  • Fuck them if they don't I got a fc twin and now they even have portable nes and snes players

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • Why? What's the point? 99% of all NES games are pieces of shit anyways.

  • @532131 I agree with you, those games WERE good, back in the 80s.. only hipsters like this bullshit

  • What the fuck is with that guys hair?

  • I would SO buy them! I have every major Nintendo system but I would go out and get the remake in a heart beat!

  • That why you have the wii shop channel for and the virtual controller

  • i didjnt know daemon was a nintendo fan

  • I love the old console nes <3 I wish that they do a new console with NORMAL controls!

  • Sam is stuck in the 80's :)

  • Just place the Wii and the Wii remote on its side and it looks exactly like an NES.

  • Nintendo would never do that. They might make a NEW console with the same name, but they wouldn't ever start selling the NES or SNES again.

  • the SNES is my baby and will always have a special place in my heart i think that would be one of my favorite controllers too

  • Wasn't that the old contra intro music at the start? LOL I saw that retron... thing. Nice idea but nothing beats playing old games on old systems. I whip out my turboxpress handhold and play TG16 games. They're still fun. Haven't dug out the ataris yet tho. 5200 and 7800.

  • why not buy a classic controller for the wii and download several nes games in the wii shop canal o_O i don't see the problem

  • My dad still has his nes I play it it is fun

  • Comment removed

  • This was a fun video! Make more like it, nice to see Damon have a laugh

  • Nice video IGN \o/

  • Why not just make NES collections for the Wii

  • Consider that NES graphics are better than the Wii, I'd hope so

  • @SharpFPShooter

Kid, you've never played with an NES.

  • @jasamdomo No, but I've seen an NES and I have a NES emulator on ym android

  • @SharpFPShooter

Just download Nestopia on emulator zone.

    That's how I play.

  • @jasamdomo Is emulator zone an app or a website?

  • @SharpFPShooter

    website

  • @jasamdomo Do you think it'll work on an android device?

  • @SharpFPShooter

    play it on your pc

  • @jasamdomo I sadly have a Mac and Macs don't run games well. Have you seen how long it takes to load the loading screen on Team Fortress 2?

  • What if they made n64 games portable as well?

  • I say they better do this!! Nintendo, bring nostalgia into 2012

  • yeah in Australia they did remake the sega mega drive and u can get it at Kmart for 50 bucks

  • Holly shit that was contra 3 I remember when I was 5 playing that game oh man that was some good times really good times

  • $50? Really? It better be more like $19.99

  • @KyleLaney87 There is no way it would be $19.99, more like $50.00

  • i wold by an NES

  • Aphex Twin!!!

  • I'd buy a re-release of retro games and consoles over digital downloads. The companies could do it, but as mentioned, they'd be competing with themselves and it's simply not in their interest.

Now if Nintendo did something like this with Club Nintendo similarly to the Game and Watch handheld, that would be great!

  • Sam looks like a character Liam Kyle Sullivan would play.

  • SAM IS FROM THE PAST O_o

  • seriously, i still have two nes in my house!

  • Of
