They hung out with Timothy Leary, David Yow was the singer for ScratchAcid for gods sake. I saw The Jesus Lizard maybe 12 times and never saw Dave Yow without a beer in his hand. The Jesus Lizard is ALL ABOUT DRUG just like Butthole Surfers and most of the other bands on Touch @ Go

Great that they were able to produce such extreme music without over-indulging in drugs and destroying themselves in the process, as so many have done. Jesus Lizard rocks just as hard as it did in the nineties when I first listened to them.

Shot rocks!- so does Down, & Goat & Blue & etc,etc,etc. My neck is sore from slammin' in my seat ... i'm stuck -naked in front of the computer(FNM!) & i cannot leave the house now or even tear myself from this screen!!!

Vivid memories seeing these guys open for Bush in the early 90's & Yow exposing himself to thousands of pre-pubescent girls & making a mockery of the Gavin-lovers!---the Lizard is most killer in a club though. Mind blowing!
