  • Wrong song, should be "Let the bodies hit the floor" or something.

  • this is really a ridiculous exercise. by design, it almost precludes good form (e.g. putting the weight down on your back, then setting your upper body position for the squat, which makes it impossible to get the shoulders/upper back in the right position because there's already a bar weighing them down). she's obviously quite strong if she can power through it, but really, quit wasting that ability doing joke movements

  • @DukeMcManhands What are you talking about? When you lower the bar, your shoulders will already be arched into the correct postion for supporting the weight. What you see in this video is somebody who is on the last round of a immensly fatiguing workout, and as such their form might be a little slack. please spare us your ignorance and properly read up on this complex

  • @CameronBlaze123 watch the video. watch her set the bar at the base of her neck/top of her traps, THEN slide her shoulders back (which i suppose is what you mean by "arched shoulders") and up. a good upper body position requires that the shoulders/upper back be flexed in the correct position before being loaded with a bar, because the flexed muscles are what create the contours in which the bar rests.

    also what's the point of fatiguing one's self until form breaks down?

    This is hard btw, i just switched to crossfit from bodybuilding and i'm weak as f*ck. I do it with 40kg (or about 88lbs) and for me it's hard to push it up after the backsquat.

    Well it looks as though I stand corrected, based on other posts. She is lifting a dime and a nickle on each side, but the dime looks like a plate. I have never seen that before, and I have been doing this for a while. My mistake.

  • @bodybyjay Uhm, this big black plates are 45's. The small grey ones are ten. and that's a hard workout. I do body pump at the gym with that much on the bar for squats and I can only get the bar over my head on onto my shoulders about 4-5 times. The legs are strong but my shoulders need more work.

  • @felicianomiko WRONG read the description on the weight used. It says 75lbs total, if those were real 45's there would be 165 with the 10's.

  • the exercise done like this has the weak link on the shoulder press part since all other movements could take 3x or more weight than the shoulders. So I dont see the point...

  • @Akaoushi way to pull that fact out of your ass, I'm no misogynist but it's a fact that women have greater body fat than men. A safe minimum bf for women is around 12% and for men it's about 5%. Also, men's testosterone levels allow them to build muscle far easier than women on average.
