  • Wonderful. The Secret Garden Symphony. :)

  • I've seen Dudamel conduct Mahler and he does a very credible job of it. I still think he needs some more seasoning. He's a very young man. It's interesting to hear his comments on No. 7. It is a big work, encompassing "everything" as he says. If you really want to understand Mahler from a conductor's POV, try to see Michael Tilson Thomas's segment on Mahler in his "Keeping Score" series.

  • I was there when he rendered it with GSO and in one word, it was magnificent!

  • This guy doesn not know how to create the mahler sound. He doesn't understand Mahler.

  • @pointreyes6 And you do?

  • I love his passion, for music, intelligence and life. such an inspiration.

  • @ TheStockwell: Insight?! I heard 2.51 min of rant. Fits perfectly with the way he "conducts".

@starwarsjunkie7777: He is indeed the conductor of our generation, which settles for shallowness, claptrap and platitudes.

  • @Mahler1912 Claptrap and platitudes? First of all, Gustavo is 30 years old and he is speaking in a language that is not his first language. It's about the music - not so much about the discussion about music, IMHO.

  • Gustavo Dudamel Rules <333

  • An inspiration to all musicians. He is our generation's conductor, I firmly believe.

  • I love his new harry potter glasses! haha

  • I give him credit for attempting to come up with insights into Mahler Nr.7.

  • Thanks for sharing...in english!
