  • a drop of gas keeps it running for hours.

  • If you put 1000 of these together, you would have enough energy to generate a complete waste of time.

  • OOOR Just a VERY big Fly!

  • Since when do they have flies 6 inches long?

  • @billygotgrove it is a big fly, indeed, but why should it be 6 inches long? The flywheel has a diameter of 7mm(~0,28 inches), the fly is slightly bigger, maybe 0,4(?) inches...

  • Good old german quality ;-)

  • that is one big fly

  • I did not know what ever contrary you live in had photoshop.

  • wtf is it?

  • brilliant.....love to see it in an application mate.

  • Is that a monster fly? Over four stories high?

  • You've got quite a few insects there my friend.

  • Ein Meisterwerk der mechanik....

  • how do u get all these bugs 2 pose for vids????

  • thats one huge match

  • but will it blend, that is the question...

  • legos just got a whole lot better

  • Great job. Thanks for sharing.

  • i bet it has like 0.0000001 BHP :D

  • That's beautiful. Nice work.

  • Cripes! They have some enormous bugs in that country.

  • Fantastic!

  • you could use it to power a watch with heat from your writs.

  • 0:35, I bet the fly built that

  • Does it give off 200 Fly power?

  • muy bueno felicitaciones

  • 0,000000002 HP XDDD

  • I finally know what bugs are powered :D

  • What does it use as fuel. My German is really bad, but I'll try my best. Fuel? Benzine?

  • @gravizt Bioethanol.

  • @ger462da Good thinking! using only enviromental frendly fuel.

  • Comment removed

  • @ger462da but its only used for the flame isn't it?

  • @gravizt ja das ist fart.

  • @gravizt stirling engines uses heat to work, not a special fuel

  • @Borsif

  • sehr krass!

how long did it take, until the fly sat next to the motor?

  • Wow!

  • must have very fine tolerences

  • if i give you 1.000.000 US$ you will sell it ?

  • @darkskyline95 Yesssss Sir!!!! ;-)

  • @ger462da are your crazy?!? dont sell it! o.O

  • @ger462 do it! make your prize... 2500$? im sure there will be some customers

  • @ger462da he means 1 dollar and 000000 cents

  • @darkskyline95 wait ".(dot?)" >.> 1 buck...

  • Thats AMAZING!!!!

  • impresionante este microstirling

  • Man... you some got huge flies there.

    Just joking :D

    That's some fine craftsmanship!

  • Amazing, I want one like that from where to buy? More details please...

  • @kondordv sorry, I do not sell. It's too expensive.

  • @ger462da ahhhh dude ;-) c'mon. How much? What do I have to.... should I pay you for this?!

  • @ger462da ach du sprichst Deutsch :-D sag bitte, was müsste ich den ausgeben? Danke im Voraus mit freundlichen Grüßen Toby

  • und der soll funktionieren?

  • Fantastic workmanship. Fantastische verarbeitung

  • but will it blend?

  • @ANUSSOR

    lets find out =)

  • very nice!

  • Amazing!!!

  • großartige Arbeit! Respect.

  • Fantastic!

  • Very nice work, i love micro engines :)

  • So insects are building engines now?

i wanna see one driving now

  • its for a bug ferrari

  • You might be having denial about your bug infestation.

  • omg my car xD

  • Brilliant!...I think that's what my girlfriends brain runs off!

  • wow, that's small..

  • how do we know that's not a giant fly?

  • nano tequila

  • ...will the fly be driving it? Better hurry thou, they don't live for long!

  • must be a watch maker built that so smooth running

  • Erstaunlich, was haben Werkzeuge, die Sie (Drehbank, Fräsmaschine)? Vergib mir meine Grammatik, den Internet-Übersetzung

without the help of Google translate:

Amazing, what tools did you use (lathe, milling machine)?

  • what does it run off?

  • @stillzbreh

    sorry, ich verstehe nicht.

  • @ger462da ohhh, that stuff

  • @ger462da source of energy?

  • @ger462da Die energie, die heisser temperatur? Von wer?

  • @ger462da what is the source of heat in the video ?

  • @stillzbreh heat

  • @stillzbreh heat, apply a heat source and then start up the engine

  • @KaylinJH like a steam engine?

  • @stillzbreh yes sort of, but it doesnt require water it uses a differences in air temperature to generate the movment

  • @KaylinJH wow, what type of engine is it cqlled?

  • @stillzbreh its called a "Stirling Engine"

  • @stillzbreh Heat, probably the sunlight, since it's so small

  • @stillzbreh

    Heat! Research Stirling Engines

  • @stillzbreh it's heat and the following pressure difference

  • @stillzbreh heat

  • @stillzbreh dude you should wiki what a stirling engine is.

  • @stillzbreh I think it runs off Bugs ;)

  • @stillzbreh it's a heat engine. Anything that creates heat will run it.

  • @stillzbreh Its a stirling engine so it runs off the energy created when a contained liquid or gas such as air is heated and cooled in cycles the match is being used to heat the contained substance.

  • @stillzbreh I cant' think of a way to explain in a comment box, but it absorbs heat from it's surroundings or an external heat source. Wikipedia has a good writeup

  • @stillzbreh It runs on thermal energy. Gas (in this case the air) is expanding in the heater area and shrinking in the cooler area. Some types of Stirling engines require only few degrees of heat difference between heater and cooler. That's why they can run on heat from your hand.

  • @stillzbreh heat

  • @stillzbreh Stirling engine runs on heat transport (cooling and heating up the gas inside the chamber)

  • @stillzbreh Stirling engines have two chambers, each must have different temperatures - the bigger the difference the better the engine runs. The engine makes use of the air expansion and compression caused by these different temperatures. The mechanism is a little complex, but wikipedia and maybe some other youtube videos can give you a better understanding of it.

  • @stillzbreh They're micro sterling engines so they work off hot and cold air differentiation.

  • now i can put that in my beretta and get 10,000miles per gallon

  • kann man nciht nachbauen? bsp baupläne?

  • wunderbar

  • Who can say who the author of music in video? Please help find

  • @MrAndreyelectro

Jonn Serrie, "Eye Of The Beholder"

  • Comment removed

  • @MrAndreyelectro

    The music is on

    Eye Of The Beholder by

    Jonn Serrie

    He does music for planetariums.

  • @MrAndreyelectro : It's right fucking below the like/dislike shit....how the fuck do people miss the music selection....plain as day.

No way ;-)

  • what does it do?

  • @notbroadcasting1 its a VERY small engine xD

  • Comment removed

  • How did you get the fly to pose for you?

  • @MaleAdaptor

You can easy freeze it in fridge

  • @MaleAdapto held him at gun point, ie, a miniature 45 cal.

  • how its possible to there is no heat to run machine other sides matches is still no burn ................?

  • this guy killed a beatle and a fly to just prove his point....

  • @usefortouch

Which one, Lennon? I seriously doubt that.

  • The fly say " what a big motor"!!!!

  • that fly is so motor that motor is so fly

  • ohh insects are so ahead that they have so hightech motors

  • video de merda

  • wow i had no idea insects had such technology.

  • first time in my life that i se this

  • WOW those are BIG bugs

  • The fly's like "Sup bro ? Ya stirling engine ain't cha ?"

  • Wie lange musstest du warten bis sich da eine Fliege hingesetzt hat?

  • Now flies can have their industrial revolution too!

  • thx man))))))))

  • Sehr schön, Respekt!

  • Amazing, stirling engine that size. Great job!

  • Small stirling engine should have better efficiency then large engines because the gas in the small one will behave more isotermial. That's when the contact area / volume have larger propotion in the small engine's. Large stilring engine have never make any success because of this.

  • lol the fly sucks now after inventing this thing

  • Nasty. Kill that fucking fly!

  • what a tiny one that is

  • unglaublich

  • please say what the music was played in video???(author, name of the track)

  • @RUSSIA392

sorry, I dont know..... :-(( It's from youtube "AudioSwap".

  • @RUSSIA392 It's "Eye of the beholder" by Jonn Serrie

  • @Renatodonadio

oh yes, I think it went well :-))

  • I can see why you call it the "flea"

  • Was sind Sie vom Beruf wenn man fragen darf ? Uhrmacher ?

  • @ger462da Vielen Dank ! Wir melden uns wenn wir probleme haben :)

  • mann mann sehr schön! super arbeit! bist ein rießentalent!^^

  • That is amazing!

I can see Steam Punks wanting Stirling powered watches!

  • Klasse! Einmalige Arbeit. Aber wie wird er beheizt?

  • @lexander5

  • but will it blend?

  • Dear Santa

  • bravo

    great work

    best regards

  • @vergaranunes

    sorry???....I do not understand.
