this is definately a power connector problem. if it had been a cpu/gpu problem it would have taken a few seconds before the RROD showed up. so i call PEBCAK, or in this case PEBXAPC (problem exists between xbox and power connector). I guess most of these videos are put up by ps3 fanboys or lobbyists trying to make the impression that the xbox is still unstable. guess what, repair statistics tell otherwise. and at the place i work we have more ps3 slims coming in with problems than jaspers.

Isnt the failure rate for non-jaspers close to 100%? I've never heard a legitimate story of an original xbox that still works after 4-5 yrs. This makes me hope that the jaspers rrod failure rate isnt just less than that of the originals.

With the older version of 360 the RRoD will happen more, but the newer 360s the RRoD happen as much as the YLoD does. The older 360s had around a 30-50% failure rate some due to other reasons, some due to RRoD.
The newer 360s have a failure rate around 7-10%, about where the PS3 stands.
The older modles of PS3 had a failure rate around 15-20%
If you searched YLoD in youtube there is like 3400+ videos about it, when you search up RRoD you get around 10K+ videos about it.

Jasper is not the name of a chipset, its a revision name, it has a 65nm GPU and CPU with a re designed motherboard, the Falcon had a 65nm CPU and 80nm GPU. they are only names of the revisions of the systems. The older 360s had a 90 or 95mn GPU and CPU.

this is definately a power connector problem. if it had been a cpu/gpu problem it would have taken a few seconds before the RROD showed up. so i call PEBCAK, or in this case PEBXAPC (problem exists between xbox and power connector). I guess most of these videos are put up by ps3 fanboys or lobbyists trying to make the impression that the xbox is still unstable. guess what, repair statistics tell otherwise. and at the place i work we have more ps3 slims coming in with problems than jaspers.

Isnt the failure rate for non-jaspers close to 100%? I've never heard a legitimate story of an original xbox that still works after 4-5 yrs. This makes me hope that the jaspers rrod failure rate isnt just less than that of the originals.

Sometimes i play with my ps3 for two days in a row (48 hours) and i have got it since launch day and it never happened to me. I'm not here to attack your machine but this kind of stuff shouldn't happen. You spend your money just to play a couple of hours for day because you are afraid that the console dies? With the older version of 360 the RRoD will happen more, but the newer 360s the RRoD happen as much as the YLoD does. The older 360s had around a 30-50% failure rate some due to other reasons, some due to RRoD.
The newer 360s have a failure rate around 7-10%, about where the PS3 stands.
The older modles of PS3 had a failure rate around 15-20%
If you searched YLoD in youtube there is like 3400+ videos about it, when you search up RRoD you get around 10K+ videos about it.

Jasper is not the name of a chipset, its a revision name, it has a 65nm GPU and CPU with a re designed motherboard, the Falcon had a 65nm CPU and 80nm GPU. they are only names of the revisions of the systems. The older 360s had a 90 or 95mn GPU and CPU.
Use google to find the info my friend. research does the mind good.
Just look up YLoD for the 60gb PS3, as well as PSU failures.
