  • I'm sure you'll find the guy(s) who authorized this also spout some spiel about wanting to ferret out "real American's" from apparently "terrorists", "pinko's", "commies" "liberals" "socialists" or whatever other catch-phrase these fascists unearth from the depths of their nether regions to justify decidedly illegal UNAMERICAN activities.

  • Thank's for your coments, Jeff. Too true.

  • It's not like we didn't suspect though. With all the other abuses of power after 9/11 (yes, it was a coincidence that Ted Kennedy was on a terrorist no fly list [/sarcasm]), this one was almost taken as a given. it's sad though when it's corroborated. it'll be great however when it's prosecuted.

  • It's amazing to me that these stupid right wingers who like incessantly touting words like "freedom" and "liberty" ad naseum, supported a Government that would make a totalitarian dictatorship stand up and take notice. This is fucking Red Chinese shit, this is the Russian KGB. This is everything BUT freedom and liberty.

Welcome to fascism, US style. With the background of Prescott Bush, why is this surprising though.

Check out a book called "The Funding Of Scientific Racism - Wickliffe Draper and the Pioneer Fund", by William Tucker.

There have always been very close ties between certain elite elements in US society and fascist and totalitarian governments worldwide.

  • The unfortunate thing about the word fascism is that thru overuse, it's just seen now as something knee-jerk tossed at people with no real meaning behind it. So that when truly fascist people come along and are called out for it, the word hold no actual weight.

But the ruling class including Prescott Bush, Henry Ford et al. did support fascist governments during the 40's and Benito Mussolini famously described fascism as "corporatism", the marriage of state and business.
