We also know that 1 smokes dunhill, 2 smokes blends, 3 smokes Pall Mall. Since house 4 drinks coffee (hint 5) we know that house 4 cannot smoke blue master (hint 12). This means that house 4 smokes Prince. => House 4 is German (hint 13), meaning house 5 is swede. This means that house 5 owns dogs (hint 2)...
... We now know that the Norwegian smokes dunhill, the German smokes prince and house 2 smokes blends. House 3 cannot smoke Blue Master because they drink milk (hint 12), so house 3 (the brit) smokes Pall Mall. => due to hint 6, house 3 rears birds. The house with cats is next to house 2 (hint 10). We know it can't be house 3 because they own birds, => house 1 owns cats...

Finally, I looked up the answer. When I found that it was the German, I asked, "How do you figure?" I just don't seem to have enough information to make a deduction like that. If someone could explain it, that would be cool. And I don't mean a snarky one-liner. I mean an actual answer.
I'd argue that there are two ways of approaching this riddle since the ninth clue doesn't state weather the Norwegian lives in the first house from the left or the first house from the right. Both approaches end up with ze german petting ze little fishy.
I just think its the dude that lives in the white house cause if the green house was lets say america at the opposite end it would be japan. If u put all the other points together it kinda works. So the dude would be japanese as it is customary to have fish like koi and drink water wheras americans prefer milk. Tell me if I am right?

Lol, just because Einstein died in 1955 it does not mean that the game could have not been made after his death. Eg: He could have written it somewhere,then someone created it after his death to remember him.
This was too easy... took me just barely over an hour all together. ~15 minutes the first day, and ~45 the second. I am disappointed :(
