I have dark circles, and they are getting worse. its spreading around my upper eyelids. Ima guy and its rly effectin me. Its giving me depression. Is this a treatment or just a concelear
Hi, I've had dark circles for a large portion of my life...So I landed on your video and I'm so excited..I was wondering does this work for everyone? Or if you have problems with circulation under the eye? Thanks:)
I'm a guy, so naturally I have to fear and not understand all of this, but what can you recommend? I'm 27 and just recently starting getting bad dark circles.
@DeathAdder83 I would recommend this treatment, actually. I started getting dark circles in my 20s, so that's why I started researching a way to remedy them. This treatment has been the best one that has worked for me.
I just came from China town and bought all the ingredients to make the treatment and bought the coffee grinder and all. It so happens that when I am mixing in everything together, it turns out like an oily product somewhat sandy and a different color from how yours appears. I have the chip like dang gui, the zhen zhu mu and vitamin e capsules and after everything mixes together, the product appears a transparent tan color. Is this normal?
@mirac3glow Sometimes dang gui can be darker or lighter depending on its age and cultivation. When I use dang gui capsules, it is very, very dark, and when I get very new slices of dang gui it's very pale in colour. The tan colour is ok, it's because it is the sliced dang gui. How oily it is just depends on the amount of vitamin E that is used.
hey im a guy in south africa...we dont have these herbs, wat do u suggest i do? Iv been struggling wif dark circles ever since high school...PLEASE HELP
just like to chime in and say that ive been using this for 7 days now and will continue to the 30 but it hasnt changed at all. and i dont think its going to.
ive been reading a little and im fairly sure i have the genetic dark circles caused by skin pigmentation. so i guesse it isnt a sleeping problem and it isnt really the same thing as this is intended to cure.
so anyone else not seeing results, im sure this is why.
@philblacolbla this should help genetic under eye circles as well, but you have to do the full course of treatment. Its sort of encouraging the blood in the area to move away i think, and boost circulation and this takes time
Hello, love the video. Kevin from ancientway just called me to confirm my order. I pray this works for me! I developed dark under eye circles after my freshmen year in college. Must have been the stress and lack of sleep and they've never gone away. i will let you know the results if interested
Also, I bought the same bag of the zhen zhu mu as you have. Im thinking of what other ways you can use it. Do you make face masks??
@umohm1 Wonderful, I'd love to know how it goes. In nearly any cosmetic you can use pearl powder. There are many good recipes online for making pearl cream, which I LOVE. You could also make a mask--2g of powder with 1/4 teaspoon each of honey and extra virgin olive oil for 15 minutes. Another mask is 1 tsp of powder with an egg white and 1/2 tsp of honey for 20 minutes. Warm and dampen your skin with a washcloth before and after applying/removing.
i really didnt get how u mixed things in this video and how did u get it batle??.... beside that r we suppost to use it every day or some days aweek??
Pestilenceanddoom: One last question, if the dark circles do go away after using the treatment for at least thirty (30) days....will I have to continue using the treatment periodically to keep them away, or is it a permanent fix?
@aspen311 It depends on your habits. I rub my eyes all the time, so that contributes to the dark circles I get. When this happens I'll do the mask under my eyes for 2-3 days a couple of times per year if I notice the circles are coming back. For some, the circles never come back (they're so lucky!). Once the circles are gone, however, it is very easy to maintain.
This is my first week using the treatment, although I did miss one (1) day, but I noticed a slight difference in the first application. As I stated before, my case is a chronic one, so I am so pleased to see these results thus far. It would be great now to have to constantly wear make up to conceal this problem. I'll keep you posted. Thanks so very much.
i tryed this and i dont think it has been working for me, in fact i think they got darker :( wat did i do wrong? maybe its cuz i skipped the extra virgin ovlive oil step one time. is that step nessasary?
@diANASOURRrr When using herbal treatments for anything, patience is key. Herbs give slow and steady results and consistency is key. If they are getting darker, it's bizarre as pearl powder lightens dark blemishes to even out skin tone--this is why it is used so much in beauty creams and cosmetics. It also helps cut don on any sort of inflammation. Dang Gui is used to move "stagnated blood" so it would also lighten darkened areas. You may just have very unique eyes! If it's getting worse...
@diANASOURRrr If you see it getting worse, stop using it. I'm not sure what you could have been doing wrong as long as everything is thoroughly mixed together with a 1:1 ratio of Zhen Zhu Mu and Dang Gui. The EVOO is simply just to gently moisturize the eye area. If you are not using EVOO, something such as organic coconut oil or a good eye cream can be used.
Hi Pestilenceanddoom: Thank you for posting this video. I have had a chronic problem with dark circles and just finished my first treatment using your method. I am hoping for a great result, as I know I will need to do this treatment for the full thirty (30) days. Thanks again, and your skin looks great by the way.
@aspen311 Thanks! I hope it works well for you. For some it takes a while to see results as these herbs are very gentle. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! *^_^*

@diANASOURRrr The two herbs used are natural as well as vitamin E oil. If you live near an Asian grocery store you can get the items there. For exactly the items used, I'll be making those available later on this year as so many have asked about it. Otherwise, many have posted various links in these comments as to where to get the items. I have never used those places, so I cannot speak for them. The places I get my herbs online are only open to licensed acupuncturists and herbalists.

@FixDarkEyeCircles That isn't solving anything. This is to help people get rid of them, not to just hide them. The philosophy behind herbal treatments is to help resolve the source problem and not merely mask symptoms caused by it.

Hello and thank you for the helpful information. Do the eye circles really disappear? How many times afterward do I have to repeat these steps? I am a black male and this will be my first time trying to attempt this procedure.

@2nuhere Hi, for me they did, but like with anything it may or may not work for you. I know several people who have gotten amazing results such as mine, but there are also those who experienced no change at all. It depends a lot on what is causing the circles in the first place.
@Cheekameeka333 I put it in my face cream, and it also gentle enough to use for baby acne. Traditional use of it also includes consumption of the pearl powder as it contains amino acids as well as calcium and other minerals. Pearl powder has been used in many cosmetic formulas, and there is of course pearl cream!
you do a great video. but do u do it every day once a week. you said maybe some people would be 30 days. is that use the mask every day for 30 days or what. do u have anything for puffy eyes. if you write down before you do the video. what it is for, ingredients, put on face, time to leave on, after cream. when u see results. how often u should use it . its the what when where and how.
@jumpinjedi123 With most herbal cosmetic topicals, a course of treatment is once a day for 30 days. After 30 days you take a break for at least a week.
Keep in mind when I made this video it was intended for 2 specific people. I'm still surprised so many watch this. It's impossible to say when a person will see results. I saw results immediately, whereas, some friends didn't see results for 3 weeks and some not at all. The video states everything. People in a rush shouldn't watch it ;-)
i have dark circle not under my eyes but inner eye near my nose .hope u understand what i mean.i m indian and have tan skin.is this helpfull?u look so bright after d pack i m so gonna try it.
@sunb1214 You would want to be careful near the inner eye as the Dang Gui is slightly gritty, and it would hurt when in your eye (I learned this the hard way).
It isn't your skin colour that it is working on, but what is causing the dark circles (if "blood stasis" or "dampness") by helping to move and drain it. I rub my eyes a lot, so I end up with dark circles from it. That damage I've been causing is relieved by these herbs. If you were born with the circles you may or may not see results.
@fatimajafar2003 That is something I've been researching for years and have still yet to find anything. Prevention, yes, but nothing yet for stretch marks that have been around for a while.
@pinksaphire100 These items can be found in most Asian grocery stores (Dang Gui is commonly used in making yummy hot pot cooking), and most herbal dispensaries will have both items. If there is a Chinatown near you, you should be able to find both items fairly easily.
@pami1bird I'm not sure of sites that sell to the public. I know mountainroseherbs has Dang Gui, but I think you have to buy it by the pound--that's a LOT of Dang Gui. I'm currently in the works of getting these out to people custom packaged, though. It's been a long process...
@daor775 Hi, you make a new batch each time. Making a batch only takes a few seconds, though. When dry all the ingredients are stable, so you don't want to give the opportunity for rancidity.
@sydianchris There is always a risk of an allergic reaction as with anything. Most side effects otherwise would be when taken internally--Dang Gui could cause you to have a considerably heavy period (it is one of the best herbs for feminine issues). Pearl powder has a caution with those with congestive heart failure with edema and during pregnancy due to its draining function. Topically it would be possible allergies. They're both pretty safe herbs and are often used in cooking.
i am indian and i have got really deep dark under eye circles and would do anything to get rid of them. i have looked for video tutorials on youtube but they all use make up and being a guy i am not really comfortable to walk into a store and look for a concealer that matches my skin tone. i am gonna give this a go and will let u know if this worked for me. i have got my fingers crossed and really hope it works. if not my second option is to try wakame seaweed and i cannot stand the smell of it
hi, thank you so much for posting this video, i work overnights as a social worker and i have had dark circles almost all of my life since i was a child. i want to get rid of them and i dont know how. this video has showed me a wonderful new technique that i will try and get back to you on that. i hope it helps me thanks so much for this advice feel free to pass on any more beauty for dark circles advice to me directly, thank you btw u look great! bye cindy
@chaigirl66 Thanks! I am actually going to do a video on this! I've been busy with my movie review channel, so I've been neglecting this one. Everything I use will be addressed!
i have dark circle since i was 15. now i am 24 and have tried many product but nothing work for me. i believe my dark circle is from genetic. do you think for treatment would work for me? i really really really really want to get rid of my dark circle for good. it make me look older.
Hey, i went on the site u were talking about "ancient ways,: i never tried it would love your opinion, is this what i should order? the site shows "DANG GUI, 5:1 Powdered Extract, 100 grams" and "ZHEN ZHU MU, 5:1 Powdered Extract, 100 grams (Plum Flower Code 5945C) """" just like to double check this is what you are referring to THANKS SO MUCH!~
Hi! (This is my #1 account from which I'm replying). You can use any brand of vitamin e oil. I have used GNC brand (which I bought for my cat when he had his dry skin was losing hair), and I have also used either Target or Walmart's generic brand. There was no difference in quality topically. Just snip open the ends of the gel caps to release the oil.
thanks i gonna try, but i got some questions about the ingredients you're using. i am actually a chinese living in hong kong, i just went to the pharmacies to search for everything...
1. i think dang gui capsule is rarely available here and i can just buy the whole dang gui herb, how can i actually grin it into powder? i am sorry that i didn't hear what you used clearly..
2. are you using zhen zhu mu orzhen zhu mo? 'cuz they are different things, zhen zhu mu is the shell of peral while zhen zhu mo is the powder form of pearl and it's extremely expensive but i think they are both called pearl powder in english
Hi (I'm replying from my #1 account). I have used both, and they both work equally well in this. In this video I use pearl powder, which will come in small vials, but I have also used mother of pearl powder (which you can purchase in large quantities and is fairly inexpensive) for comparison. They work equally well. Many places, though, the pearl powder maybe be easier to obtain. Hope that helps!
I used an inexpensive coffee grinder to grind the dang gui into a powder. If the pieces of dang gui are too large for the grinder, just tear it into smaller pieces. Be careful, though, because it forms a cloud. Since you can ingest dang gui, it's pretty safe, but I still wouldn't recommend breathing it in directly from a mist of it. :-p
vitamin e, sleep, something warm to put under the eyes, and something cool to reduce puffyness, keep it consistant, and of course use natural herbs that has some type of minty smell it, it gives a cooling sensation to get rid of bumps, give a more soothing smooth feeling and also helps with eyes(bags and puffyness). if u keep consistant, stuff wont happen over night, always be alil patient and another thing is always be gentle when applying...
Yes, it would, except I don't have a table. I have a tray upon which my laptop with the built-in camera sits. This isn't my permanent residence, and a table would take up too much essential space. I've never had need here for an actual table.
Thank you! I'm happy you like it. I used to wear bangs a long time ago. Whenever I flay iron my hair, I have them coming down. I tried it once with my hair just doing what it wants when drying (like in this video), and it turned out badly :-p
try rubbing olive and fenugreek oil under your eyes so gently.. it helps lessening the darkness and the wrinkles.. otherwise, some people go for fat injections!
yes try odorless garlic oil mixed with olive oil.. it will nourish your skin and make it brighter. otherwise... a sudden dark circle means something is wrong within your system.
Hi. I was wondering if this only works on darker skin tones. I have fair to medium skin, but the skin around my eyes has been brown since I had my children.
I just wanted to let people know I ordered the ingredients from ancientways and I'm going to try it once my order ships. Hopefully it works. Everybody reacts differently to different things. I am a 26 year old male and hate my dark circles. They make me look 10 years older.
Hey. No, for me it didnt work. However I have tried this since then and about 3 other types of things, nothing worked. From what I can tell, my skin around my eyes is very thin, so I dont think anything will really fix it. I use makeup now (even though I'm a guy) and it covers it up. Nobody knows I'm even wearing anything. It probably works for others, but for my type of circles, I think its just my thin skin, and nothing will fix it.
hi subby33, u say the make up workes n its not vizebal, can u plz tell me wat make up it is? like the name? i realy apreh8 it =( plz help cuz my eyes r realy badly dark! fanx again
Hi..this is very informative video.thanks.. I am an Indian so i wanted know that these product names are in Chinese.. because i ddnt heard these names before..
I was just wonderin if you could list the brand name of the dang gui capsule bottle & the zhen zu mu box & bag? I've stopped by 4 different herbal pharmacies & when I ask them for pearl powder they tell me the real deal is $75. And at 1 pharmacy they had pearl powder in a box similar to yours but she told me it's fake pearl powder? If you do live in California and you go to the Chinatown in LA, do you think you could send me the address of the pharmacy? I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks!
Yay! I found all the items on a Chinese website - >chineseherbsdirect[dot]com I hope it helps anyone looking for them. I'm placing my order soon and they do free shipping.
Hi! Some stores sell the pearl powder in a box with 12 of those vials each having 1/3 gram of pearl powder. The zhen zhu mu is the pearl powder. The 3 items needed are 1. dang gui
2. zhen zhu mu
3. vitamin E oil.
I just use the vial to stir it and apply it simply because it was handy and there :-p It works like a little wand.
hi there...am in holland and i cant find the pearl powder..i went to this small chinatown, asked for dang gui..he gave me some sort of white cristal form stones saying there ae dang gui...i hv to grind it my self ,but i hvnt yet cos am not sure of the stuff...please help..
and can a pregnant woman use it as well?..reply please..thanks..
Hi! Dang Gui will either be a powder or a pale yellow root that is thinly sliced. It looks like an ugly, longish potato chip. Dang Gui you can grind in a coffee grinder--that's how I grind mine.
Topically it is ok to use, but be very cautious since it's near your eyes. Be careful to not get it in your eyes. You should not take Dang Gui or Zhen Zhu Mu internally while pregnant. Generally, topical is safe, but be very careful. I would wait to be on the safe side.
I'm not sure since I've never used it there personally. I'd be afraid of getting it in my eye if I put it above it. I've gotten this in my eye before, and it's not a pleasant feeling. It didn't get inflamed or anything, but who enjoys having something in their eye? If you try it there, just be careful of getting anything in your eyes--it hurts because it's a bit gritty since nothing dissolves.
The Tablets I have found are spelt Dong Quai and I think they are the same as Dung Gui as I looked up on the internet and the herb is the same as you mentioned
So Ancietway have both in capsules should I contact them direct?
No problem. Yes, Dong Quai is the same as Dang Gui. I would try contacting Kevin at ancientway. They carry both of them. The only other site I've seen that has both from with non-practitioners can order only has the whole herb--you'd have to grind it into a powder yourself. With shell items, you really want it professionally ground especially if applying to your face. The worst he can do is say no. Otherwise, Chinatown is your best option. Any herbal pharmacy. Many special order as well.
thanks for this helpful info, but i been using this product for 10days now, and my dark circles r stil same, so is't possible it might not work for some poeple?
Ok, see if you can copy these characters and print them out. If they are chinese, theyll be able to read them. In our chinatown here, most of them are vietnamese, but they still know the characters.
当归 that is the dang gui
珍珠母 that is the zhen zhu mu
Are you able to take a picture of the bottle you have that shows the label? I dont think there is a dung gui so I think maybe its just misspelled, which is possible because youre going from a language with characters to letters.
Ancient way does have both ingredients. I tried contacting the owner yesterday to see if you can purchase from him directly. Since I have not seen you, I cant be considered your practitioner, so I need to see if you can still purchase from him. Since you wont be ingesting the items, it may be ok? It is up to his discretion. In Chinatown at herbal pharmacies, anyone can buy herbs. They assume if youre asking for something, you know why you need it.
I learned about this method because I had this problem. Herbs are half of what I need to study for my phd in oriental medicine (acupuncture being the other half). Herbs can do so much, so I was determined to find a treatment for this. After very much looking and classes at school and informal ones by my profs, I finally came across this method after 2 years of looking. Its worked really well for me. Now I just need to actively work on my insomnia :-p My priorities there went vanity first ^^;
i finally got pearl powder. I have tried it for about 3 days now Im not sure if its working ..i dont know how long it takes before you notice it makeing a differnce .
Hi have tracked vitamin E and Dung Gui capsules Theses are the same as Dang Gui right? I cannot find anywhere Pearl Powder have you any you an sell me or can recommend a website I am in The UK.
Its illegal for me to sell it to you since Im not a licensed distributor. You can try looking online for pearl powder or zhen zhu mu. Im not sure if the site I have listed above sells overseas. Yes, the dang gui capsules are what I used in the video. 当归You just open one to use in the mixture. Wait, does it actually say dung gui? With a u? The herb is Angelica sinensis. If it says dung gui, Im not familiar with a dung gui.
If youve had them for a long time, it may take longer. My circles have always been mild, so they went away after a couple of days. If its what we refer to as blood stasis thats causing the circles, it should take care of it. This is often the case, Ive come to find.
omg thank u for doing this video, im gonna try real hard to get the stuff, haha, hopefully it makes my dark circles so away, bt do u think it will go away even though i have had them since i was little?
It should work as long as its blood stasis causing them. I have had mine for years, but they were mild, so they went away after a couple of days. The more severe, the longer it would be. Generally, one would use this method for 30 days or until you see results. If you do the full course of 30 days, you should take a break of 2-4 weeks in between. Ive never known anyone needing longer than 30 days, though.
Thank you *^_^* It's hard to say since I don't know what is causing the spots. If it is similar to the dark undereye circles being what we call "blood stasis," this can help. Otherwise, I can't really know if it will help or not. As long as you're not allergic to the items, which are very gentle and are even used in some food therapy, it can't hurt you to try this.
This video is sooo gooood!!! u have shown it is such a nice way....i have beautiful big eyes...but my dark circles are also big...n de are both under the eye and on the lid...i finally feel that someone is giving me the right solution to dis huge problem...but where do i find these herbs???i tried online but capsules for both! please tell me where can i buy..i desperately need these..
Hi! Thank you so much *^_^* The capsules are ok to use; you just open them. Also with the capsules you're getting exact amounts which can be helpful in the beginning when you're not used to measuring herbs. The ancientway page I posted in a prior response comment has both items, howver, I have never ordered from them. They have the same brands I use, though.
I only know what worked for me. I'm going to do a video on it that goes as a follow up to the food properties video (the compression on it is awful, though).
Hi! It works for me. I've tried other methods before that didn't, but with this I noticed a difference after the first treatment, and they were completely gone after a few days. *^_^*
I looked everywhere online can not find both of the items can you please tell me where you buy it if we dont have chinatown or herbal pharmacy around...can you send me some?please
Hi.I'm afraid I cannot send the items to you; the first person is a friend of mine, so I can send items to him.The places I buy from online are available only to practitioners, but I did a search for "zhen zhu mu" powder, and the 3rd link ancientway came up.They also have the dang gui capsules. I have never ordered from them, however. Their dang gui capsules are the same brand I use, and powders are pretty regulated in the US. Search for "zhen zhu mu" in quotes and powder.
This is my informative channel as opposed to my general ramblings on my other one. Im amazed with how many views this video has gotten. Its more popular than my regular channel.
You just have the one vid? I'd love to see more from you. Your skin looks amazing! I'm over 40 and the skin under my eyes is getting thin. Boohoo! Would this be good for that too?
Thank you! This should be good for that; Dang Gui and pearl powder are both very gentle, and many take them internally for other various conditions. To play it safe, you can try a small amount in the area first. The ingredients are inexpensive enough for experimentation.
Four years ago I was diagnosed as having severe acne, so finding the right combination of ingredients really can make a huge difference. I get complimented on my complexion now, but it wasn't always that way.
Thank you *^_^* This is my informative channel. I'm hoping my future vids will help in my board exam preparations. I'm going to do all the herbs and formulas. At least I plan on doing them :p
Anyone can afford this. Retail, all the items would cost about $10 if you get loose herbs, and about $18 if you get capsules. That would last about 2 months if used everyday.
My bruise tonic will be ready next week. I'm excited. I can't believe it's been a year already. I'm such a nerd :-p
This can help you too. I can send you some if you don't live near an herbal pharmacy. The most expensive items are the vitamin E, and that's not expensive :p I can send you Dang Gui and Pearl Powder. As you see, I have a lot...
This really works!! I am very grateful, bless you.

I just came from China town and bought all the ingredients to make the treatment and bought the coffee grinder and all. I have the chip like dang gui, the zhen zhu mu and vitamin e capsules and after everything mixes together, the product appears a transparent tan color. Is this normal?
mirac3glow 8 months ago
@mirac3glow Sometimes dang gui can be darker or lighter depending on its age and cultivation. When I use dang gui capsules, it is very, very dark, and when I get very new slices of dang gui it's very pale in colour. The tan colour is ok, it's because it is the sliced dang gui. How oily it is just depends on the amount of vitamin E that is used.

Pestilenceanddoom: One last question, if the dark circles do go away after using the treatment for at least thirty (30) days....will I have to continue using the treatment periodically to keep them away, or is it a permanent fix?
aspen311 1 year ago
@aspen311 It depends on your habits. I rub my eyes all the time, so that contributes to the dark circles I get. When this happens I'll do the mask under my eyes for 2-3 days a couple of times per year if I notice the circles are coming back. For some, the circles never come back (they're so lucky!). Once the circles are gone, however, it is very easy to maintain.

Hi Pestilenceanddoom,
This is my first week using the treatment, although I did miss one (1) day, but I noticed a slight difference in the first application. As I stated before, my case is a chronic one, so I am so pleased to see these results thus far. It would be great now to have to constantly wear make up to conceal this problem. I'll keep you posted. Thanks so very much.

i tryed this and i dont think it has been working for me, in fact i think they got darker :( wat did i do wrong? maybe its cuz i skipped the extra virgin ovlive oil step one time. is that step nessasary?
diANASOURRrr 1 year ago
@diANASOURRrr When using herbal treatments for anything, patience is key. Herbs give slow and steady results and consistency is key. If they are getting darker, it's bizarre as pearl powder lightens dark blemishes to even out skin tone--this is why it is used so much in beauty creams and cosmetics. It also helps cut don on any sort of inflammation. Dang Gui is used to move "stagnated blood" so it would also lighten darkened areas. You may just have very unique eyes! If it's getting worse...
pestilenceanddoom 1 year ago

are all of these products natural? and were can i get exactly the items you used?
diANASOURRrr 1 year ago

@2nuhere Hi, for me they did, but like with anything it may or may not work for you. I know several people who have gotten amazing results such as mine, but there are also those who experienced no change at all. It depends a lot on what is causing the circles in the first place.

what else do you use pearl powder for?
Cheekameeka333 1 year ago
@Cheekameeka333 I put it in my face cream, and it also gentle enough to use for baby acne. Traditional use of it also includes consumption of the pearl powder as it contains amino acids as well as calcium and other minerals. Pearl powder has been used in many cosmetic formulas, and there is of course pearl cream!
pestilenceanddoom 1 year ago
you do a great video. but do u do it every day once a week. you said maybe some people would be 30 days. is that use the mask every day for 30 days or what. do u have anything for puffy eyes. if you write down before you do the video. what it is for, ingredients, put on face, time to leave on, after cream. when u see results. how often u should use it . its the what when where and how.
jumpinjedi123 1 year ago
@jumpinjedi123 With most herbal cosmetic topicals, a course of treatment is once a day for 30 days. After 30 days you take a break for at least a week.
Keep in mind when I made this video it was intended for 2 specific people. I'm still surprised so many watch this. It's impossible to say when a person will see results. I saw results immediately, whereas, some friends didn't see results for 3 weeks and some not at all. The video states everything. People in a rush shouldn't watch it ;-)

i have dark circle not under my eyes but inner eye near my nose .hope u understand what i mean.i m indian and have tan skin.is this helpfull?u look so bright after d pack i m so gonna try it.
sunb1214 1 year ago
@sunb1214 You would want to be careful near the inner eye as the Dang Gui is slightly gritty, and it would hurt when in your eye (I learned this the hard way).
It isn't your skin colour that it is working on, but what is causing the dark circles (if "blood stasis" or "dampness") by helping to move and drain it. I rub my eyes a lot, so I end up with dark circles from it. That damage I've been causing is relieved by these herbs. If you were born with the circles you may or may not see results.

pinksaphire100 1 year ago
@pinksaphire100 These items can be found in most Asian grocery stores (Dang Gui is commonly used in making yummy hot pot cooking), and most herbal dispensaries will have both items. If there is a Chinatown near you, you should be able to find both items fairly easily.

@pami1bird I'm not sure of sites that sell to the public. I know mountainroseherbs has Dang Gui, but I think you have to buy it by the pound--that's a LOT of Dang Gui. I'm currently in the works of getting these out to people custom packaged, though. It's been a long process...

Do you know if Dang Gui or Pearl Powder have any side effects that you know of?
sydianchris 1 year ago
@sydianchris There is always a risk of an allergic reaction as with anything. Most side effects otherwise would be when taken internally--Dang Gui could cause you to have a considerably heavy period (it is one of the best herbs for feminine issues). Pearl powder has a caution with those with congestive heart failure with edema and during pregnancy due to its draining function. Topically it would be possible allergies. They're both pretty safe herbs and are often used in cooking.

1. i think dang gui capsule is rarely available here and i can just buy the whole dang gui herb, how can i actually grin it into powder? i am sorry that i didn't hear what you used clearly..
carslavik 1 year ago
2. are you using zhen zhu mu orzhen zhu mo? 'cuz they are different things, zhen zhu mu is the shell of peral while zhen zhu mo is the powder form of pearl and it's extremely expensive but i think they are both called pearl powder in english
carslavik 1 year ago
Hi (I'm replying from my #1 account). I have used both, and they both work equally well in this. In this video I use pearl powder, which will come in small vials, but I have also used mother of pearl powder (which you can purchase in large quantities and is fairly inexpensive) for comparison. They work equally well. Many places, though, the pearl powder maybe be easier to obtain. Hope that helps!
schatze78 1 year ago
I used an inexpensive coffee grinder to grind the dang gui into a powder. If the pieces of dang gui are too large for the grinder, just tear it into smaller pieces. Be careful, though, because it forms a cloud. Since you can ingest dang gui, it's pretty safe, but I still wouldn't recommend breathing it in directly from a mist of it. :-p
schatze78 1 year ago
vitamin e, sleep, something warm to put under the eyes, and something cool to reduce puffyness, keep it consistant, and of course use natural herbs that has some type of minty smell it, it gives a cooling sensation to get rid of bumps, give a more soothing smooth feeling and also helps with eyes(bags and puffyness). if u keep consistant, stuff wont happen over night, always be alil patient and another thing is always be gentle when applying...

Yes, it would, except I don't have a table. I have a tray upon which my laptop with the built-in camera sits. This isn't my permanent residence, and a table would take up too much essential space. I've never had need here for an actual table.

Can I use this over the eyes. I am having dark circles below as well as above the eyes.
neelz4u76 3 years ago
I'm not sure since I've never used it there personally. I'd be afraid of getting it in my eye if I put it above it. I've gotten this in my eye before, and it's not a pleasant feeling. It didn't get inflamed or anything, but who enjoys having something in their eye? If you try it there, just be careful of getting anything in your eyes--it hurts because it's a bit gritty since nothing dissolves.
pestilenceanddoom 3 years ago
Well Thanks for all your efforts your a gem!
The Tablets I have found are spelt Dong Quai and I think they are the same as Dung Gui as I looked up on the internet and the herb is the same as you mentioned
So Ancietway have both in capsules should I contact them direct?
sydbarretselephant 3 years ago
Many special order as well.

thanks for this helpful info, but i been using this product for 10days now, and my dark circles r stil same, so is't possible it might not work for some poeple?

hi yes is the different spelling so im asuming it is the wrong thing?
I have also been on the anciet site you mentioned they do ship but I cant find
This is very frustrating as I have also been china town and there is a communication breakdown
sydbarretselephant 3 years ago
Ok, see if you can copy these characters and print them out. If they are chinese, theyll be able to read them. In our chinatown here, most of them are vietnamese, but they still know the characters.
当归 that is the dang gui
珍珠母 that is the zhen zhu mu
Are you able to take a picture of the bottle you have that shows the label? I dont think there is a dung gui so I think maybe its just misspelled, which is possible because youre going from a language with characters to letters.
pestilenceanddoom 3 years ago
oh my gosh what a nice person you are I will check the spelling again tomorrow
I obviously dont want to be spreading the wrong stuff on my eyes! ha ha
So the ancient site do you think they have both of these ingredients?
Im determined to try this! where did you find out about this technique?
sydbarretselephant 3 years ago
Ancient way does have both ingredients. I tried contacting the owner yesterday to see if you can purchase from him directly. Since I have not seen you, I cant be considered your practitioner, so I need to see if you can still purchase from him. Since you wont be ingesting the items, it may be ok? It is up to his discretion. In Chinatown at herbal pharmacies, anyone can buy herbs. They assume if youre asking for something, you know why you need it.
pestilenceanddoom 3 years ago
I learned about this method because I had this problem. Herbs are half of what I need to study for my phd in oriental medicine (acupuncture being the other half). Herbs can do so much, so I was determined to find a treatment for this. After very much looking and classes at school and informal ones by my profs, I finally came across this method after 2 years of looking. Its worked really well for me. Now I just need to actively work on my insomnia :-p My priorities there went vanity first ^^;

If it says dung gui, Im not familiar with a dung gui.
pestilenceanddoom 3 years ago
would this work if u had them since u where little???!!!
RAKELL101 3 years ago
If youve had them for a long time, it may take longer. My circles have always been mild, so they went away after a couple of days. If its what we refer to as blood stasis thats causing the circles, it should take care of it. This is often the case, Ive come to find.
pestilenceanddoom 3 years ago
omg thank u for doing this video, im gonna try real hard to get the stuff, haha, hopefully it makes my dark circles so away, bt do u think it will go away even though i have had them since i was little?
RAKELL101 3 years ago
Thank you for watching *^_^*
It should work as long as its blood stasis causing them. I have had mine for years, but they were mild, so they went away after a couple of days. The more severe, the longer it would be. Generally, one would use this method for 30 days or until you see results. If you do the full course of 30 days, you should take a break of 2-4 weeks in between. Ive never known anyone needing longer than 30 days, though.

i got like dark spots on side of my nose can u pls help me with that. i would really appreciate that.
singhsunny13 3 years ago
Thank you *^_^* It's hard to say since I don't know what is causing the spots. If it is similar to the dark undereye circles being what we call "blood stasis," this can help. Otherwise, I can't really know if it will help or not. As long as you're not allergic to the items, which are very gentle and are even used in some food therapy, it can't hurt you to try this.

Hi! Thank you so much *^_^* The capsules are ok to use; you just open them.

I'm a bit of an insomniac. I have circles within circles.

This can help you too. I can send you some if you don't live near an herbal pharmacy. The most expensive items are the vitamin E, and that's not expensive :p I can send you Dang Gui and Pearl Powder. As you see, I have a lot...
