@maxmaracuya Thank you for your kind comment. For copyright reasons, I can't send this piece to you - but it may be in print. I suggest you Google the title.
Yes, Jurriaan was never tied to a "modern group". He went his own way, a more harmonious way you could say. He also wrote very good theatre and film music.
Thank you for your kind comment. This is the only piece by the composer I had ever seen or heard - until I saw your excellent video of the Ballade. Thank you for bringing it to my attention. I have subscribed to your channel which I note has some fascinating repertoire on it!
I'm only in my second year of playing piano, but I think my piano teacher picked up on my dislike of sappy or uncreative pieces, so he gave me a book from Andriessen to study from. It has four sonatinas that can be played with your hands in one fixed position (I'm sure there's a name for that) and they are quite rhythmically challenging, I have to say. I nearly finished the book, from the same publishing house, and I was wondering what full pieces he'd composed. He is fairly well known in the NL
Thanks for your message - the book you have sounds interesting. Is it definitely by Jurriaan rather than Hendrik or Louis (the best -known)? Of the three, only Louis is at all well-known in the UK.
Yes so many styles, including a poppy melody or a simple romantic melody (too much New Age perhaps)for a sentimental movie, but still a nice recital piece, thanks
Thanks for your comment - when I first found the score, it took me a while to work out what sort of piece this was, knowing nothing at the time about the composer or his background.
Hi, you can order it at Broekmans & van Poppel Amsterdam; they ship internationally
Good luck!

Hi, have you ever played Drie Dansen? It's my favourite by Andriessen

@ingridlot No I haven't. Are those pieces by Juriaan, or by his brother Louis?

Well, it is certainly a different style from Louis A's music.
