I had a theory of some kind of "Core" of the Maverick Virus that you face. The core manifestates itself into a combination of all the enemies who fell victim to the virus, and the name for this boss will simply be called "Maverick". X uses the power of the Mother Elf and transforms into his Seraph form from the Zero series, and destroys Maverick, thus ridding the Maverick Virus for good. The series ends here.
