@youwillthinkofme For 3g go to Settings->General->Network and you can hit off for both the 3G and cellular data.

You go to settings-general-network-mobil­e datanetwork and then you set the APN, the username and the password to x or something, so you get :

APN : x

Username : x

Password : x

Then you return to your home-screen and you can't go to safari or YouTube or load the weather on 3G but you can call and send messages. And with wifi it still works.

@brad9899999 No, you can text. It just makes it so you don't 'accidentally' hit your browser and surf the next and pay for using internet if you don't have a plan. You can still use wifi for free too.

@blackjedi111 Jesus. Just have them disable it. Call your cell phone provider and tell them you just want to use wifi, and they'll disable it on their end.

this a good tip. Useful if you don't want extra charges on the phone. It's a great just to turn it "off" then just remove the word after the APN just make it work again. :D

uh yeah. same here mine is 1.1.2 and all there is under network is vpn wifi and data roaming and when you're on settings there's nothing under safari about turning off edge

u need to insert a sim card that's not from AT&T.

After that, u'll be able to change networks and edge settings and all that. (Provided that ur iphone is unlocked)
