I like Single Ladies but at the same time, for me it is some what unrealistic because as you said, many singles don't have all these hookups and dates. The single people I know don't want to be single because they tend to be lonely. The women on the show are also soooooo glamorous which is beautiful but I simply cannot relate. I am a college kid with very limited income so I don't have a lot. For me the show is just for entertainment.
Tammy and Royce(sp?) are the only ones who keep it real and they state how they feel and are very honest. How they handle themselves may not be the best, but atleast they don't try to start stuff.
YES, I am with you about the Basket Ball Wives. Evelyn is no friend to anyone, the only reason she is with Ocho is money. Also, Evelyn said on the show that she want his baby but she wants it to look like her (color) grow up get a life Evelyn. She one good hard strong SLAP! That will made her straighten up. I cannot STAND basketball wives. I totally and wholly feel you on that show. I really believe that this show perpetuates the stereotypes that people have about ethnic women being ghetto, attitudinal, material, etc. These girls are very remniscent of high school chicks, and they remind me why my circle of female friends is very, very small. On a more positive note, your hair is BEAUTIFUL! You are my hair twin FO SHO. :)

I totally agree with your point of view on the show. I'm dissapointed in them especially Shaunie. I've never liked Evelyn! I like Tammi & respect her as well. She's down to earth, and stands her ground. She doesn't make drama like everyone else. And yes she is genuine. I like this video and how you did it! You should make more like this!

I completely agree with you on your thoughts on Evelyn, Jennifer, and Tammi. Tammi is by far my favorite on the show, because although she is involved in the drama, she's doing so in response to some form of disrespect (usually). She does not let disrespect or wrongdoings slide, and although she may handle things differently than most in that regard, that's what makes her the most genuine on the show.

I had those exact same thoughts on basketball wives. I was telling my friend that I might stop watching the show because it's all drama with no substance. In season 1 they did charity events and volunteering and this season they are just embarrassing.
After the 2nd season I stopped watching basketball wives. I feel like it portrays a negative image for women in general. I completely agree with you about Evelyn. I also agree with your opinion on Tammy. All of the ladies always talk about being "fake", but I feel that Tammy is the only one that can say she's "real."

I really never cared for Evelyn because she's all about drama 24/7...Tammy keeps it real but she is too ready to fight for everything. It's just not necessary and a fighting woman is nothing to be praised. As for Single Ladies, I think it's definitely interesting to watch but the show is not the kind of single life I would ever want. I'm all about maximizing my singleness but that show does it in a worldly way which is far from being all about the kingdom.
I am about to turn 29 years old and the ladies on the show are older than me acting like teenagers or younger. I don't really care too much for Evelyn either. Overall, the women that have kids, I wonder what they think about their mothers on the show, especially Evelyn's daughter. I completely agree with you on your thoughts on Evelyn, Jennifer, and Tammi. Tammi is by far my favorite on the show, because although she is involved in the drama, she's doing so in response to some form of disrespect (usually). She does not let disrespect or wrongdoings slide, and although she may handle things differently than most in that regard, that's what makes her the most genuine on the show.

I feel you on Evelyn- i usually ignore most of what she does. Jen has self- esteem issues so that is why she is open to Evelyn's negativity.I like this vid- ranting and twisting

I had those exact same thoughts on basketball wives. I was telling my friend that I might stop watching the show because it's all drama with no substance. In season 1 they did charity events and volunteering and this season they are just embarrassing.

After the 2nd season I stopped watching basketball wives. I feel like it portrays a negative image for women in general. I completely agree with you about Evelyn. I also agree with your opinion on Tammy. All of the ladies always talk about being "fake", but I feel that Tammy is the only one that can say she's "real."

I really never cared for Evelyn because she's all about drama 24/7...Tammy keeps it real but she is too ready to fight for everything. It's just not necessary and a fighting woman is nothing to be praised. As for Single Ladies, I think it's definitely interesting to watch but the show is not the kind of single life I would ever want. I'm all about maximizing my singleness but that show does it in a worldly way which is far from being all about the kingdom.

I am about to turn 29 years old and the ladies on the show are older than me acting like teenagers or younger. I don't really care too much for Evelyn either. Overall, the women that have kids, I wonder what they think about their mothers on the show, especially Evelyn's daughter. Throwing stuff at people and calling folks non mother(beep) factors is not a good look. N-E-Ways, I love your channel! You are an inspiration! Take care and God bless! :0)

I still kinda like Evelyn because she just got funny come back (ie the non factor comment was funny yet wrong). My favorite is Royce that girl is small but boy she is REAL! Tamy is just adorable to me :). Jennifer IS the non-factor, I think she is superficial and yes with low self esteem. Shaunie, don't really care for her. I agree with Housemouse53, they are always fighting for stupid stuff.

Nina: you are dead on with basketball wives. Evelyn is starting to become to worst and she is always infusing sex into everything she does and making us women look bad on tv. Also on that show they are constantly fighting. I struggle with watching any of these shows because as a conscious african american woman I see myself watching those shoes as an oxymoron. I dont want to be a hypocrite, so I think I am going to be done.
