  • LOL funni how things turn out. Every1 thought it was going to be Hewitt Roddick dominating the nxt 10 years. Then Fed and Rafa came.

  • Why is that a terrible overrule? it looked out to me.

  • @SuperJourneyer It's a terrible overrule because the ball was called "in" by the judge on that line, and the chair umpire overruled the call from the other side of the court.

  • Where's Roddick? I see McEnroe and Hewitt.

  • hewitt needs to get back to this kind of physical condition or otherwise get this lean frame again if he wants to be relevant for one more season, but it's not so easy 10 years later...he's been missed in the game, at least for me anyway.

  • @ctoth666 Hewitt is done now, he wont get near any slam wins these days.

  • @makgirling they are both done Roddick and Hewitt play tonight at the AO too old veterans.... lol

  • Andy didn't lose because of the overrule, he lost because he let it get to him

  • young andy looks like isner

  • huh, I didn't notice before that Hewitt and Clijsters have the same chin

  • hahaha patrick mcenroe is commentating

  • haha....it's been 10 years from when the comment was made about them being in Grand Slams for the next 10 years. And then Federer, Nadal and Djokovic enter. Boy is that commentator's face red!!!

  • WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!!!!!! XD XD

  • Kim Clijsters!

  • in

  • LOL at the commentators predicting the Roddick-Hewitt rivalry to match the Sampras-Agassi rivalry, and the comment about "two young guns that will certainly be playing for grand slam titles the next 10 years..." ;) Between them, they have a total of 3 slams and they are both pretty much finished as far as top tennis is concerned. Federer, Nadal and Djokovic have a total of 30 slams with more to come ;)

  • grande roddick sos un crack, desde argentina

  • wow times flies, I'm the same age as these guys and it just makes you realize how fleeting life is.

  • shouldve smash his racket on his face

  • did he get fined though?

  • come on

  • WOW, that sucks without instant replay. RODDICK GOT SCREWED. Have to give him credit though. He shook the umpire's hand AND didn't mention the call afterwards.

  • Ten years later and history repeats...

  • my right ear enjoy this

  • Will everyone shut the fuck up about stiffler?

  • whats wrong with his eyes, his pupils look a bit too big to be sober :o

  • @ikbenbnop He's fucking pissed lol

  • @ikbenbnop Nothing wrong with the umpire, his was sleeping on the job and too busy looking across the court to check out some big boobies. That is why we have today's technology "Hawk Eyes" so the players can challenge all of the unreasonable calls from lack of attention umpires.

  • he thanks his fans. great escape move.

  • why is the sound panned to the left?

  • 666,069 views LOL WHAT A COMBINATION

  • 0:38-0:42 LOL

  • year?

  • @Bamboozle168 it says in the description 2001 x

  • No shit @hunter1; if you listen to Patrick McEnroe, he says "it may have" (hit the line), although he, too, complains that the umpire shouldn't do that on the far side. That call was not as clear cut as you claim. Umpires do overrule calls at the far side court, regardless of the situation. There's a reason why they sit high up.

  • Roddick: "not gonna shake his hand, not gonna shake his hand...... i should shake his hand"

  • That overrule is ridiculous. Normally, I lose respect for Roddick because he acts like a spoiled brat toward umpires, but in this case the umpire made a terrible call and deserved what the Rod handed to him.

  • situation in the match is irrelevant. that ball was out.

  • @rharnal747 You do know the line is in don't you mate?

  • thumbs up for the divalicious behavior!

  • Awwww, I miss this Rodick :(

  • @RogerRocks070 I know! He's so submissive... and sucky.... and just mediocre now.

  • wittle baby roddick need to make wittle doo doo in his ditey!!!!

  • yeah let's go roddick

  • Roddick never can control his reactions...

  • you cannot be serious!

  • @kinderville100 Atleast the americans dont dive like babies in soccer.

  • @Bambads what are you talking about? I played competitive soccer, and we're the worst LMAO

  • He looks like Napoleon Dynamite at 3:02.

  • haha both couldnt even drink legally in the US at this age

  • when did stiffler start playing tennis?

  • These two players like to pul their shirt. They should've just went to Nike DRI-Fit if their body feels that sticky due to the sweat and humidity.

  • Those of you who think this is bad, it cannot compare to John McEnroe or Jimmy Connors.

  • God damnit let the players call the lines!!!

  • Haha Hewitt's over there like "Get your shit together Andy"

  • 3:51 Girlfriend Kim Clijsters who was going to win 3 USOs as of now.

  • Roddick was actually good back then

  • rodDICK ha

  • who won the australian open that year?

anyways, that call pisses me off. im not saying roddick would have gone on to win the match, or the whole tournament anyways, but you never know. its one of those butterfly effect things - one small thing could change the future in a big way.

  • @tacotwosdays Andre Agassi

  • he loves that inside forehand

  • This is Andy's most justified temper tantrum. He had every right to be angry. You should never overrule a call that close from the other side of the court. You're just asking for the player to scream bloody hell at you. Serena had the same thing happen to her in 2004. That match is clearly the reason we have Hawkeye today.

  • wow hard to believe he's so young. this is like 10 years ago now

  • ﹝ Andy Roddick﹞、He is so Cool...

    And best!

  • me gusto mucho

  • Girlfriend is upset

  • Lleyton Hewitt and his girlfriend Kim Clijisters look like brother and sister. Very creepy and kind of gross.

  • @Bienville25 they broke up ages ago

  • i think andy roddick is a great sportsman.. scientifically wondeful how you can read the anger off his face during the interview... eyes wide open mouth wide open bloodthirst... he makes no eyecontact with the interviewer because he is afraid he will punch him in the face... terrific how he keeps his composure...

  • pfff that was out

  • except for his serve roddick has no skills

  • @PornobrillenAli You see the '09 final at wimbledon? He's more than just a fast serve. Great player.

  • roddick is a clown!!!

  • Hewitt's just awkwardly standing there...

  • go roddick! haha he's from austin so i like him. and he looks like daniel tosh

  • I lol @ his rage. Such a spoilt little brat.

  • @Moppy1988 Yeah, everyone who gets angry at bad calls in a very important game is a spoiled brat....?

  • @kelman221 yes, now you're getting it

  • @Moppy1988 geeze, you must be a mellow push over that doesnt stick up for what is right, by those standards at least. :P

  • @kelman221 sporting contest =/= life. You fail hardcore

  • @Moppy1988 You are a a troll idiot. That sport IS his life, do yourself a favor and stop arguing becaue you are wrong completely. I will save you the trouble though ans stop replying.

  • @kelman221 so Roddick dies when he retires?

  • 19 and 20..... you dont see anyone that young anywhere near the top ten these days

  • He'd be like, 18 here.

  • There were no challenges during that year.

  • @ThisBePhilip

Andy was probably out of challenges, and they had a different type of technology back then..

  • They are so young!!!

  • one day roddick's gonna chop down the chair like a tree using nothing but his racket

  • ...did they not have "hawkeye" back then?

  • @ThisBePhilip nope.

  • WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU LOL

  • What do you expect from someone who wears their baseball cap back to front. Come to think of it Hewitt is wearing his the same way, he's a bit of a kid as well.

  • 19 years of age and ego the size of Mount Everest....He could have had a little more respect since the umpire was older enough to be his father......and todays hawkeye would have probably shown that ball getting the edge of the line, but still, for human eye- that ball would have always been called out.

  • @glutamin111 lol

  • @glutamin111 fuck off. He;s got every right to be pissed. How and why would a chair umpire make such a close call that's on the other side of the court.

  • Roddick should have knocked over the umpire chair!

  • Roddick is being a dick, but yeah, umpire made a bad call that changed the outcomeof the game.

  • @AFLmegafan hahahahahahah xD..

  • sorry but that was more of an out, the ball was a few centimeters away from the safe or in zone.

  • @SpikeThePorcupine23 any part of the line is in, so more of an out, is in by the rules so read the book

  • Comment removed

  • @Bang4URBux I basic know all the rules of tennis regardless of that one comment I made. I've seen many matches and from all the replays I've watched there were situations where a really small portion of the ball hits the line and the rest of it lands in the out zone and they call it an "out". so how can the rules say that its only out when the ball is completely out the in or line zone and they end up getting away with stuff like what I just illustrated to you?

  • @SpikeThePorcupine23 they have hawk eye now, so no more fuck ups, 1 mm is in

  • @Bang4URBux hawkeye isn't always accurate a ball you may call in might be consider an out on the hawkeye angle at times. The reality is this. it's fact that once the ball touch the line it is 100% in but because alot of human errors take place they would likely end up not going by the rule book. The issue with Roddick could have possibly went the other way around. the ball that was called in was suppose to be out but roddick would get away with the point.

  • @SpikeThePorcupine23 the ball touched the line which was in, the umpire overuled it from the farside , he should be tortured in afghanistan

  • @Bang4URBux ok that was a low blow, yeah alot of umpires make foolish mistake but come on its not like roddick was going to win that match anyway.

  • @SpikeThePorcupine23 roddick would of won the match , this upset his concentration, hewitt is just an aussie battler

  • @Bang4URBux yeah Roddick alright at least he was a 2003 US Champion

  • @SpikeThePorcupine23 even though roddick will not win anything no more now djoko has burned all other rivals

  • @Bang4URBux Roger Fed. still rocks

  • @SpikeThePorcupine23 fed will be lucky to win a tourney when djoko or nadal are playing , he should play the challenger circuit, he might win there

  • @Bang4URBux you bet he will

  • @SpikeThePorcupine23 he should of played the zagreb challenger he would of had a chance , djoko owns him & nadal these days, lets not argue it , come back to me when he does, until then djoko reigns supreme

  • @Bang4URBux no lie djoko is an awesome player

  • @SpikeThePorcupine23 thats what djoko reigns supreme means or u dont understand english , like the line rule

  • @Bang4URBux look who's cranky. listen dude I'm trying to have a sensible conversation with you. Sure Djoko is cool but I like Federer more take my opinion or leave it, it's up to you.

  • @SpikeThePorcupine23 im not cranky, u wrote no lie djoko is an awesome player, stating that i said otherwise to the contrary, when i said he owns federer & nadal, u gotta pay attention & read carefully ur losing it buddy, pull ur self together

  • @Bang4URBux my apologize, it's cool

  • @SpikeThePorcupine23 its cool djoko still owns fed & nadal , peace man

  • @Bang4URBux That why he lost last year's US Open agaonst Nadal...

  • @Nagrandt yeah thats why djoko ripped a new ass hole in nadal & fed since

  • @SpikeThePorcupine23 1% of the line is in

  • @SpikeThePorcupine23 u need to learn the rules read the book

  • @Bang4URBux don't have to I already know thanks :)

  • haha he was 19

  • Ball was out!!....rod....DICK!!

  • @Lezzllee I saw the play (without the slow-motion) and it was close but not out. As long as the ball touches the line, it is STILL in.

He shouldn't have called it out if he wasn't sure.

  • @AWDracer true, check out hawk eye

  • @Bang4URBux Ya... dumb call by umpire.

  • @AWDracer the umpire needs to be strung by his balls

  • Roddick looks like Ryan Getzlaf

  • then there was federer, nadal , & now the real deal of mens tennis djokovic

  • that was on the line

  • @Bang4URBux Ya, it was definitely on the line. Ridiculous call.

  • @AWDracer especially overuling on the farside, the umpire needs to tortured in afghanastan

  • @Bang4URBux HAHAHA I don't know about that....

  • @AWDracer ok send him to sudan, or pakistan, or libya

  • ......stiffler

  • WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!! :)

  • whoa his shirt is dripping

  • how can you overrule the far side of the court! what is wrong with you!

    BEST LINE EVER

  • That judge had no right to overrule the call by the linesman. This is why hawkeye should be required on all pro courts, regardless of the cost. Also players should be able to challenge any ball in a point, none of this bullshit of if you think the ball was out you have to stop play to challenge.

  • @jakeprogrammer hawk eye wasn't around in 2001

  • Clijsters looks so unimpressed

  • diva

  • haha stiffmaester sucks

  • unless the shot was CLEARLY out or in and the linesperson made a wrong call on the far side of the court the umpire should not change a call

  • I thought this embarrassing outbursts were a new thing in his career.. guess not lol. what a waste of talent

  • that was out. roddick is a dick

  • @bordidaz that was on the line ~@#$%^&*()

  • @bordidaz Whether it was or wasn't the umpire shouldn't have overruled. You don't know anyway.

  • he cry for that ???

    he was just 0-15

cmon roddick.... why make those shows

after that hewitt wipe your ass

  • @fearlesslandrew It was a 5th set in a grand slam and he was serving to stay in the match. You have obviously never played competitive tennis if you don't expect him to get upset. Roddick was also right.

  • I am NO fan of on court fits or antics...but the fact is that ball was IN...Not even on the line, but inside the line...should have been very obvious to the judge. I would have freaked out too! Thank God for the replay now!!

  • LOL our new mcenroe

  • For as much as I don't like Roddick, I do appreciate that he gets pissed at stuff like this. It only shows his true passion and desire to win. I'm glad to see he is the last American that cares.

  • Theyre both douchebags :P

  • 53 dislikes. what is wrong with you? lol

  • Where are all the gentlemen gone? Get over yourself dudeson.

  • Where are all the gentlemen gone?

  • This was, like, the third tennis match I ever saw in my life... And it was soooooooo EPIC... I can still remember Andy saying

"We're 4-5 in the fifth set, where are you??????!!!!"

  • respect to roddick that he shaked hands with the ref after the match! I honestly wouldnt have done it haha

  • isn't that kim clijsters at 3:27?

  • @Masterzofall yeah Hewitt dated her back then.

  • @Masterzofall yes, they even mention its her and his grlfriend then.

  • lol look at Hewitt's face at 0:47

  • Haha, this was when Roddick was lean and actually played tennis like a man. Now he doesn't even hit the ball hard enough to break an egg. Still even here, he never had any luck. It's like Roddick is the tennis gods' designated punching bag for life.

  • @Swordsman808 and thats why he makes millions of dollars and plays professionally and you don't

  • @wortho69lovesmen Wow, aren't you the creative one? How long did it take you to come up with that one?Somehow I doubt your little retort will make "A-Rod" feel any better, Agassi will soon grow his mullet back before that talentless one-trick pony ever touches another slam cup! Bwahahahahahahaha.......

  • Dias is probably the worst judge on the tour right now.

  • roddick is the most unlucky player in history...

  • Wow, im sorry roddick

  • TWAT

  • it was out

dont no why roddick so angry hewitt a better player anyway

  • @lacheyrulez Oh really? Did you pause the video at 1:08? And if Hewitt is better than Roddick, then how come Roddick is in the top 10 and Hewitt isn't?

  • @Rafathaman94 At the time Hewitt was much better.

  • @BabyCarlyle At the time he was, but overall he isn't.

  • @Rafathaman94 The slower nature of current hard courts are unsuitable to Hewitt's style of play, not to mention all the injuries he's had to come back from in the last few years. Hewitt at his best could be a Top 10 player. He is only 29 after all. But the game's evolved beyond his counter-punching style and with the current crop of stars, it's unlikely he'll ever win a grand slam again. I'd wager than by the end of 2011, Roddick will have slipped to below #10 and Hewitt will be at least #30-20.
