The basic moves for locking is pretty similar, jabbawockeez didn't copy anything from these guys, they did moves that were already in the fundamentals of locking. This performance was top class! Just wished they used funk music more..

@Eptapus your'e right it's not hip hop. it's a funk style. came before hip hop was introduced. this is actually an odd song to lock to. i'd have no idea how to do it. but it's a funky dance that involves fast movements and the locking into place. look up p lock, go go brothers, these guys are hilty and bosch (i always spell their names wrong). i'd say go go brothers would sum up traditional SUPER funky locking.

locking is all about the large, swift movements like you see in the vid.

@bombboytagginup I will do my best.Locking was created by a man called Don Campbell in the early 70's and it was part of the original funk dances.basically it involvess rolling or "locking" your joints (usually your wrists or elbows) in synch with the music hence the name.Also present in the style is charecteristic stop in a certain move to emphasize said move.Other moves include,splitsvarious kicks,landing on your knees and more.just look it up on wikipedia for a better explanation =)
