  • very nice

  • What would be a module that I could get for around 200 dollars?

  • Pr 5 is pretty fat!

  • does this have real bass drum sounds aswell?

  • @mkbyrne If you are referring to digital samples, the answer is absolutely, "No". There are plenty of digital sample players on the market already. The Jomox MBase 01, and the newer MBase 11, are true analog devices.

  • @bigcitymusic im just looking for a good drum module that has good bass drum samples i can plug my acustic bass drum trigger into and that you can turn the sensitivity off

  • why do you say that?

It's quite possibly the best option if you just need huge analog kick drums--a great value.

  • help me out here guys please,,,can i use this to trigger my accoustic bass drum for playing double bass and what other equipment do i need to do so??

  • Drums (With Triggers on them) -> Trigger to MIDI Converter --> (Midi IN) MBase 01

  • Sry, i just saw in another video: you can directly plug a trigger in there !!! thats cool!

  • so you could trigger a bass drum with this, does it actually have drum sounds on it?

  • no, just bassdrum

  • can make the same sound with microtonic? what difference is between this mbase01 and microtonic (vst) ? there is a new mbase called 11 , have you test it? is really better than the 01 ?

  • @takikua69 Microtonic can't be compared with this, please don't spread shit that microtonic or any other Software synth is equal to real analog gear. This is deep banging sounds, you feel the bass not only hear it, I have tried microtonic it is weak and boring in comparison.

  • so you can hook up cables to this and run it from a trigger on a bass drum to the module, then to a PA ?

  • Yes.

Trigger -> Trigger to MIDI converter -> Mbase -> PA

  • There's actually a dedicated trigger input.

  • is the lfo altering the led lights?

  • No, that's just the residual effects the stuff you took last night when you were out partying.

Seriously, the pulsing LED's were not actually pulsing as it appears. It is visual effect caused (somehow) by the camera and YouTube. Some techhead out there should know why it looks that way. Anyone with an explanation?

  • would have been funny and somehow useful though..

  • Yes, I agree. That would be very cool if the display did actually perform that function. ;-)

  • I guess the 7-segment LED is multiplexed, only one digit lights up at a moment. this is a common way to use 7segs, because it uses only 7 + 1 per digit output lines on the mcu

  • mwaha, I have an idea about what might be going on:

your camera and the machine have different refresh rates - maybe you have seen on your tv when they film a tv? same thing...

  • hi bigcity. could i use it instead of regular bass drum with my roland. it has MIDI too.

  • Yes!

  • I can add this machine to my Roland TD-6?

  • question:

i play HxC and metal. and im looking for something to hook triggers into (ive never used a trigger in my life and i just got some ddrum triggers)

i have no idea how to use one, so some help would be good? =)

  • only has KICKS? has not hihats or snares ? Can i make profesional TECHCNO HARDCORE/HARDSTYLE kicks?

  • yes you can.

just sample it and run the samples through a distortion plug-in.

or buy the sherman filterbank, too.

with this combo you should make drums like dj promo;)

  • "Analog Bass Drum Module"

  • If you need real analog kick drum, but don't have $1000, this is your option.

  • sounds great

  • merci wa ! echt alter weisste mensch ehrlich aue super weisste! echt!

    :)

  • does this work for pickups or actual triggers

  • Do the jomox drum machines share the depth of synthesis for the bass drum sections,as this Single Bass drum module? Thanks,You guys Rock!

  • good question, i would like to know what people who have experience with these machines would say as well

  • Jenny- Yes. You have every bit of synthesis with the 888 or 999 pitch, envelopes, LFO's. The only thing I think missing on the full drum machines would be the ability to play the kick drum as a bass.

  • That's some good kick drum!
