its limited in the sense that you always have to point the camera at the square. it wud be better to have those squares all around the room then the camera would always know its position no matter where you are looking at.

Its a Video yes, but if it can be processed in real time, along with a transparent screen (which exists) they could turn this into a major concert event by just handing out glasses and then they could have 3d effects at a concert or something.

it's a program he made himself, he just used the ARToolkit, which is a free library for tracking paterns with a webcam, in his program, basically what he did was he made a cgi sequence in a editor like blender, and used his program do draw it at a certain point on the card in real time giving the impression that it's a real life object
