It uses the .45 Colt caliber, it's different from the famous .45, which is ACP (Automatic Colt Pistol). It's famous for the fact the Sheriffs of the American Old West used it widely (That's the reason of the nickname: Peacemaker).

The voice acting is 100 times better and despite what most people think the over-the-top cut scenes in the GC are awesome. I mean come on, Snake springboards off a missile and shoots down a attack chopper with a Stinger in mid-air!

Like, I bought Star Wars The Force Unleashed for Wii, I didn't like it because it had low graphics so I sold it and bought a PS3 version which was much better.
Don't get me wrong, I love Metal Gear Solid, it's my favorite videogame series of all time but I can't stand graphics like people with blocky hands and no lip movement. But Solid was probably the best game in the series.

I don't see how graphics should affect that... it's like saying a book sucks just because it doens't have visuals.
But in your case, of course I would purchase a better looking version of the SAME game, but that still hasn't stopped me from enjoying titles like Call of Duty 3 on the PS2.

Better graphics, harder computer A.I., most of the cutscenes were way better especially with the ninja, the voice acting though was Way Better in the original, especially with Vulcan Raven. Chuck Farley voice was much better fit in the original than the guy who voiced Raven in the Twin Snakes. Plus I noticed everyone talks so much slower during conversations in Twin Snakes. Mei Ling lost alot of her accent in Twin snakes. A decent remake

Well Ocelot isn't all talk... in the very first area in the game, Snake has very low HP. He could be able to take 3-4bullets at most (more than that will surely kill Snake)
Which mean... 6bullets are more than enough. Luckily, his bullet is easy to dodge.
I dont get it... in the past (like in MGS3 where he was young) Ocelot was totally the good guy, working for CIA... though he was sort of double agent... but still, he seemed to be on the same side as Big Boss... what happened then? I know that he was consumed by Liquid, but he stood against Solid even before that.... can anyone explain? Am I missing something? Where was the break even point?
i don't know too much about the story of the games but i do know that in the series of games before "metal gear solid" (a.k.a "metal gear" and "metal gear 2: solid snake") big boss is the bad guy, so in MGS3 you actually learned the history of the bad guy...
@mikulasvselicha Big Boss was his breaking point. As EVA said, Ocelot idolized Big Boss. He has no real moral compass, and no objective, outside the will of his idol. Big Boss wanted to spark an age of persistent universal warfare, so that people may know "the fullness of life" as he sees it, and Ocelot followed. He said it himself with his dieing words.
BUT... he was played like a fool all along! Naomi had Sunny modify FOXALIVE to cut off the Patriots, AND preserve society! He was clueless!
you know... he is probably the most hard to figure out character in videogames. I mean the dude is awesome, but even at the end of MGS4 i was still like .... "so does that mean ocelot was evil or....?????"
He was only acting like he was loyal to the Patriots. In reality, he was loyal to Big Boss (he admired Liquid, but he leaned towards Big Boss more than anything.) In MGS4, he allows the Liquid persona to take him over so that he could revive Outer Heaven, and work towards destroying the Patriots and leave behind a legacy of world chaos, thus "Outer Heaven."
Here's the thing; Naomi tricked him. Sunny modified the virus to cut off the Patriots & preserve society.

Well Ocelot isn't all talk... in the very first area in the game, Snake has very low HP. He could be able to take 3-4bullets at most (more than that will surely kill Snake)
Which mean... 6bullets are more than enough. Luckily, his bullet is easy to dodge.

I dont get it... in the past (like in MGS3 where he was young) Ocelot was totally the good guy, working for CIA... though he was sort of double agent... but still, he seemed to be on the same side as Big Boss... what happened then? I know that he was consumed by Liquid, but he stood against Solid even before that.... can anyone explain? Am I missing something? Where was the break even point?

i don't know too much about the story of the games but i do know that in the series of games before "metal gear solid" (a.k.a "metal gear" and "metal gear 2: solid snake") big boss is the bad guy, so in MGS3 you actually learned the history of the bad guy...

@mikulasvselicha Big Boss was his breaking point. As EVA said, Ocelot idolized Big Boss. He has no real moral compass, and no objective, outside the will of his idol. Big Boss wanted to spark an age of persistent universal warfare, so that people may know "the fullness of life" as he sees it, and Ocelot followed. He said it himself with his dieing words.
BUT... he was played like a fool all along! Naomi had Sunny modify FOXALIVE to cut off the Patriots, AND preserve society! He was clueless!

He was only acting like he was loyal to the Patriots. In reality, he was loyal to Big Boss (he admired Liquid, but he leaned towards Big Boss more than anything.) In MGS4, he allows the Liquid persona to take him over so that he could revive Outer Heaven, and work towards destroying the Patriots and leave behind a legacy of world chaos, thus "Outer Heaven."
Here's the thing; Naomi tricked him. Sunny modified the virus to cut off the Patriots & preserve society.
