  • it's not a fake, it's our bridge. I hope I never have to go through it)))

  • Well, what a fuck up.

  • usa is shit stupid

  • FAKE!

  • My question is WHAT THE FUCK is that dude doing walking on the left side :) gotta love russian people! they trully dont give a fuck :)

  • I can't believe that guy walking along the bridge, bobbing up and down like it's nothing.

Also, at first I had thought this was some CG distortion (i.e., a fake), but I don't think you can fake the reactions of people around this phenomenon; it all adds up. Plus, as pointed out above, it has happened before.

  • is it real or FAKE & GAY lol

  • All the bridges should wave like this all the time.

  • How it happens?? = Russian engineering. Thats all.

  • It's because of harmonic resonance. This could've easily been avoided if they studied "Galloping Gertie" in law school, the oldest philly ever to with the Kentucky Fried Derby.

  • Harmonic Resonance. It's pretty much clear if that issue is not solved with the bridge above, the same fate awaits that bridge as did the Tacoma Narrows bridge back in the 1940s when it collapsed 6 months after being built. As soon as figured out that the dampening was beneficial, they rebuilt the bridge, which also served to influence the building of the Mackinac Bridge in Michigan.

  • super video -thx

  • who argue that it fake, see 3:45

  • there is a ufo at 4'18

  • OMG , it's ouaw... i'have not an other word... it's dangerous but it's amazing... Russian mountain is back ? =D

  • are a little wind bad design

  • @buanful No, it's not an illusion. This has happened before. As commenter "20aren" says, the explanation is spelled "resonance".

  • it's called resonance in physics....

resonance is the tendency of a system (usually a linear system - bridge) to oscillate at larger amplitude at some frequencies than at others...

at these frequencies, even small periodic driving forces can produce large amplitude oscillations....

  • That bridge was taught, If in doubt, Wobble about!

  • Is just a matter of time till crash. Anyway, I think is very cool. Original mountagne russe :)

  • too much eyewitnesses in my city to think so ;), I didn't belive and initially thought that it's "Photoshop". But too real ... Wind blew that day really hard and it was rush. Yesterday it was opened again - no injury, all the same as before :) In our country the bridge was called "dancing bridge", but it's rubber, imho :)

    Tonic, Volgograd

  • boiiing... zoiiing...

  • well, guys. im livin in Russia and sometimes i agree with ya that our government have bad money tricks and all that stuff but about this bridge - its really veru stable, so as the the girl below said it was really unstable bad weather 4 2 weeks, it depends on this kind of weather storms. and i wanna say that if we ll speak about every single country we can find out verrry interestin` destructive things about it,so please, we all must be tolerant and respective of other nations ^)

  • fake and gay.

  • @TheKinetic9

Your mommy is gay little troll.

  • @DremDC DUDE relax men it was a joke you know ''raywilliamjohnson'' in one of his movies he said: ''It's gay and fake''.... it's a joke men

now you have to apologize .....

  • @TheKinetic9 Prove it, dipshit. Prove that it's fake. Show us the program they used to fool us. When you're done acting like an asshole, be sure to look up Tacoma Narrows Bridge, then tell us that was fake.

    Fuck you, troll.

  • Oczywiscie kamere musieli dac komus z parkinsonem ;/

  • This is really stupid. This is a well-known phenomena, and should have been taught early in every civil engineering study. Look up 'Galloping Gertie', the schoolbook example. And yet, it's not like 'it's in Russia, these people are stupid'. I remember that the brand new bridge in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, used to 'dance' as well, while it could have been prevented (and eventually was repaired) easily. Still, great example of resonance frequencies.

  • @tochnietvanjou Commission inspected the bridge, visually and by ultrasound and did not find any cracks. bridge is in perfect condition. 25.05.2010 movement of cars on the bridge will be restored

  • @tochnietvanjou Well put especially on the resonance and frequency, but as for the stupisity, lets say hope they learn.

  • what is the source of this video?

  • wind

  • Legendary Russian reliability of constructions. Wifes, bridges, rockets.

  • sooner or later this bridge is going to Fall . also in the first 5 seconds i said that's a fake but No Fake .. to bad ,Volga first River in Europa

  • @Tttggvv, I believe the bridge in San Fransico also moved like this. The Erasmus bridge in Rotterdam also moved like this when it opened. They fixed it with a little repair.

  • @leeate

i think there are mice in it that make it move. :-)

  • That's kinda awesome. What causes this kind of movement?

  • @Leeate Self-exciting oscillation

  • @Leeate resonance, probably caused by wind, i've seen a video way more impressive a few years ago from a bridge in the us

  • @Leeate The wind combines with elements of the truss to create lift and a sinoidal resonance of the bridge itself. Go make waves in the bath tub, if you time it right, it takes very little energy to make big waves in the tub. This is the same thing. look up the tacoma narrows bridge. Nothing new here. Incidently they can stop the oscilations with some wind dampening of the bridge.

  • @Leeate Usually strong winds combined with a design that allows waves to bounce back and forth within the span, reinforcing each other. See "Galloping Gertie", the old Tacoma Narrows Bridge in Washington State, USA.

  • @Leeate It's called Harmonic Resonance, If you watch a video on here called the Tacoma Narrows bridge, it is mostly a mirror image of what is happening here. Not to mention that the wind is influencing it. The understructure where the surface of it is allowing for the movement. One example to cure that, would be that of the Mackinac Bridge in Michigan where the wind meets the path of least resistance.

  • @Leeate It's called Harmonic Resonance because the underneath of the thoroughfare is not dampered for wind.
