hey um...i need help i hav a problem wiv this program u c whenever i make a vid n download it 2 my computer, half why through my computer turns off by itslef leaving the download incomplete....plz if possible help....i'll appreciate it :)
hi!..just a question....should i press enter in order to start rendering my video before burn it to dvd or share it in my computer?...what is the usage of rendering the video?
@kras89 Rendering will show you a final product. It incorporates all the effects, edits, etc. that you have made to preview that way it will look when you publish it. If you are going to publish it directly, use share. If you just want to test it, either works.
When I use APE7 I used to just do MP4s. Well I have an old computer. Very old XP, but im getting a new computer Windows 7 core i5 . Will it run my Mp4s better. Because I have to convert them into Wmv. But it will lag really bad..I use an Samsung Mx20 that takes videos in format of Mp4/ H264 and it doesnt work..It freezes the video and audio is fine..but I cant edit it, so do you think when I get a new computer with better Ram it will work better with my Mp4s/H264???
@livinwalker I used to have some of that trouble with version 7, too. The newest, version 9, has less trouble with it. I did learn that there are some proprietary versions of avi out there that just aren't right. Your raw material may be part of the problem. If it is, you'll likely have problems with any editor. Try running it through a conversion program and convert it to wmv or mov. If it still won't work, it is probably your raw data.
Resolution is not the most important. A lense is the most important. E.g. I'd honestly rather a carls zesis 5 megapixel camera that records video in 640x320 rather than a Schneider 10 megapixel camera that records in HD.
how do you get premiere elements videos to fill the screen because i've seen loads of people using sony vegas and their vide feels that screen but no matter what format i render my video to it stays on that small square in the middle of the screen
@misscharmedqueen What format are you using? Share options are you using? What is the original project format? What playback method are you using? What are the places using that you are comparing them to? Is this for web or DVD?
i video alot of fight nights how do i make chapters in between each fight, instead of fast forwarding on the dvd to next fight just hit the next chapter of the dvd players thanks
Adobe usually gets right with you on problems, you have to sign in to the program and use that sign in to post on the forums. I don't like Premiere so much but I edit in Camtasia 7 and just use Premiere to tweak the colors and play around after I have most of it cut.
Shouldn't the audio & video be in sync when it comes off the camera? Shouldn't you be able to see the video on the screen? Shouldn't Adobe support their product without making you pay for the phone call? Shouldn't they at least answer emails? My pc is brand new & fully loaded. My HD camera was new last year. It's NOT the hardware. I had the same problems with PE7 on my other desktop. Adobe offers no help whatsover. Buy any other program that works.
@PalmBreezeCAFE Succinct answers, but how can I possibly "edit" a video that is not in sync, or that I can't see on the screen, or that eats its own thumbnails as the timeline moves across the screen, or .... ?
How can you edit a program that doesn't even "capture" properly? PE fails to do the simple things, much less anything sophisticated. It simply DOES NOT do what you claim. Impossible to edit a program that won't appear properly on the capture screen. Trying to get Adobe support is more impossible. Won't answer emails, won't give support over the phone unless you pay. Won't respond to snail-mail letters. Lots of promises on the packager, does not deliver.
any 1 have a tip on how to get my encoding time down from 5 days on a 30 min film ,this soft ware is cool but i cant seem to get it running smooth in 6 months its given me hell now i am dealing with 5 days waits to encode a film, any 1 got a tip for me?
when i load a project the time line wont load up takes hours to burn a 30 min vid takes me about 50 hours its a joke,i got a new processer more ram video card so far 600 bnucks and my local com dude i have no confidence in him how do i get it runnin smooth
i got the free 30day trial for premiere elements. however, it won't let me try out the actual movie making program. all i can get to is the file folder. am i doing it wrong or is it just limited so i can see it?
when your done editing the video and u click share, wats the best format for the highest quality playback on youtube, is it dv avi, or like mpeg, or something else?
First off, I'd like to take a secound and thank you guys for all your help. I'm also want to let everyone know that Best-Buy has a sale going on, (at my store anyway) I just bought Adobe Premiere Elements 7 and Adobe Photoshop Elements 7 bundled together for $108.04
I'm looking forward to posting my first video production on You-Tube.Thanks again.
If you're a student, you can get education pricing from any of the academic software sites. I found Premiere Elements for under $70 with education pricing.
can you add special effects like fire or explosions because i don't know whether i should buy this or sony movie studio because i'm looking for a cheap editing software and i dont feal like spending 400 bucks for sony vegas
Actually, there is a package for students and educators called the Adobe Digital School Collection that you can get that includes PRE, PSE, Soundbooth CS4, Acrobat Pro and Contribute for a great price. It integrates between the packages so you can use Soundbooth for all kinds of audio editing and effects.
If you're going for a professional level and want to do high end effects with something like After Effects, etc. you should go Pro. If you want to use it for creating good movies, but you're at the beginner or intermediate level, Elements is great.
off topic, but I can't upload videos I make on Adobe Premiere elements7. It uploads but won't process. I get a message that the file can't be converted? Can anybody help with this?
iTunes is very specific, proprietary. While you can import and edit mp3 or mp4, importing it from iTunes may not work simply because of the coding process that Apple uses. If you can find the right file, it should import.

@23TubeViewer I love questions that require only short answers.
Yes, but it isn't always.
Yes, if the format is compatible.
Yes, but that's a business call.
Yes, but always check the support forums first.
Good luck. Using higher end programs may be the way for you to go.

when a HD project is finished whats the best format to share for online applications?
elcapitanmas 2 years ago
Wow... that's a touchy one. Personal preferences and your destination play a role in this. I've been using MP4 lately, but also use FLV and WMV.
PalmBreezeCAFE 2 years ago
If it's for you tube well, believe it or not but you can upload it straight to youtube from the program!
and you have a choice between Flash present,HD 1440*1080
or 1920*1080^^
I use it^^
mabe you could check out my vids to see what you think of my style of using it!

I'm not familiar with that movie or effect.
PalmBreezeCAFE 2 years ago
type in on youtube jumper effect then you will see what im talking about =]
leowaannzzz94 2 years ago
You could do a very BASIC effect if you have some skills in camera stop motion etc, but nothing special like with the smoke and stuff.
AlohaCool 2 years ago
Well I know what you are talking about, and the answer is NO.
This program is for video editing, not Visual FX.
Get After Effects, FXHome, Particle Illusion or something if you want to go about making Visual FX.
This program is specifically for editing, as all video editing softwares are.

off topic, but I can't upload videos I make on Adobe Premiere elements7. It uploads but won't process. I get a message that the file can't be converted? Can anybody help with this?
SuperRonShow 2 years ago
What format are you publishing in? I found some resistance to publishing in YouTube from elements. I publish to WMV and then do the standard upload.
PalmBreezeCAFE 2 years ago
If you're publishing directly from PRE, try publishing to your hard drive in MP4 format and then uploading. I've resorted to that often and it works.

You can grab a handle on either side of the picture to drag it to a length or select it, right click it and set the length there.

iTunes is very specific, proprietary. While you can import and edit mp3 or mp4, importing it from iTunes may not work simply because of the coding process that Apple uses. If you can find the right file, it should import.
