  • very very very good friend, excellent job :D ... i love the chords of this song, greetings from Mexico

  • this is excellent. so easy to follow and i learned the song so quickly. do you have any other amy winehouse tutorials?

  • Hi Frederick. Great rendition! Where can I get the annotations to this at?

  • where do I access the annotated chords for this? Perhaps because I'm browsing on my phone, I can't seem to find them.

  • WOW! LUX!

    Adrian

  • I would pay for you to record some Instrumentals for me.

  • thank you for your post i used to make an acoustic version of this song

  • Unknown chord is C# / A7. Other than that, this is really good!

  • well this is definitely not good for a classical guitar..

  • i'm confused about how to read your tabs, ie (5-x-5-2-2-x)

  • @imaeyen Left-to-right represents the 6 strings of the guitar. (E-A-D-G-B-E) a number represents the fret to play on that string so a 5 means the 5th fret, 2 means 2nd fret and so on of that string. An "X" means that you do not play that string at all. (mute). Sorry for the very late response, but I get a lot of emails and can only respond to them in my spare time.

  • @imaeyen

  • Wow! Very beautiful! I was looking for something simple I could talk someone through AS I sang! This isn't the version I was looking for, but it's definately the prettiest!

  • brilliant stuff! thank u muchos amigo :D

  • Pick up any music theory book, it'll tell ya. The first letter refers to the root of the chord, what follows describes the construction of the chord. Maj=a major chord, min=minor chord, dim=diminished, aug=augmented. The numbers refers to extra notes added to the triad. 7=add the seventh note, 9=ad the ninth note, etc. up to 13. Sometimes he used a -5 (minor 5th) or a +5 (augmented 5th). A theory book will explain it better, but there are the basics.

  • Thanks! I'm playing a Taylor 614CE on this. Played straight acoustic (wasn't plugged in) and I am using Elixir nanoweb strings. Playing with the fingers instead of a pick also gives it a softer tone as opposed to using a pick. Thanks for the question.

  • do you have to have a certain guitar to play amy winehouse songs??? other than that your are awsome!

  • Ha! thanks - no special guitar required. Just a regular 6-string guitar will do, acoustic or electric.

  • thanks and if you can, can you do a video for tears dry on their own..??
