Seems to be alot of confusion among comments. so to clarify things. the 5.7 is 345ci, the 6.1 (srt8) is 372ci, the 6.4 (2011 srt8) is 392ci. there are crate motors or stroker kits to 426ci which is 7 liters.

@mattio79 actually he's correct, the 6.1 liter is 370 cubic inches and rated at 425 horse. the 6.2 coming out in 2011 is a 392. the srt 8 challenger drag pack option is available in the 5.7, 6.1 rated at 630 horse and the 5.9 magnum wedge .

I can't think of anything better than a muscle car I could just get in and start, regardless of temparature, and drive 500 miles, without worrying about overheats, and the like.

Hemi refers to the shape of the cylinder heads.

The 426 Hemi is big block made by Chrysler/Dodge used in 'Cuda's/Challengers, Chargers/Roadrunners, Coronets/GTX's, some Dusters/Dart Demons (incredibly rare) and alot of custom street rods.

I'm not sure that the GM 427 L88/L89 is a small block...I think its a Big Block but im not too familiar with GM engines. Ford 427 the Side Oiler and Cammer were both Big Blocks.
