I think is is absolutely great. I can see many company's NOT getting this because of the cost. I think they should try having an accident and then seeing what would of cost more.
Can saw stop rip to 3/4in or less off the fence when the guard is in place?. Does the sensor activate with faster feed rates, when the riving knife is in place is there provision for the guard?. Can the guard be used in bevel cuts?
we have one of these in woodshop some idiot thought it would be nice to test it.. with their finger... boy was my shop teacher mad lol those blades arent cheap
That can happen if your material is too moist. As shown in the video the best solution is to use something else to cut wet material or to put the saw in bypass when you cut wet material so that the break will not fire.

Sawstop excluded macduff is impressed, macduff's innovative technology (The Original Jimmy Jig) the other alternate
mated to older table saws has retro-fitted that technology to be as save as it can ever be,
it will not wreck the blade or stop the saws operational function.
All macduff's ideally automatic anti-kick back devices are placed up front over-head of the blade or
cutting tool on a
stationary fence, (a macduff first) attaches to a bracket with a suspended rod from the stationary fence

which will never deviate from the parallel.
This portable light weight technology cuts sheet material to 4ft. on center requiring no large
permanently mounted side or out-feed extension tables
World wide there are hundreds of thousands of table saws with the old dangerous technology out there. Sawstop at
this time cannot retro-fit these saws. Buy new not necessarily, retro-fit available yes, but don't be
complacent and keep your wits about ye, slainte mhath macduff
