Refill kits are hit and miss. The problem is you aren't refilling under a vacuum so the foam inside doesn't properly absorb and suspend the ink. Also, if it's run empty it won't prime and won't work. I just buy remanufactured ink and toner at the refillmyink website because it's cheap and 100% guaranteed. Then I donate the empty to my kid's school. Schools and churches do fund raisers by collecting them.

Too bad for me...I was impatient and did a stupid thing before I remembered youtube. I put yellow ink into one of the two existing holes on the side where the chip is. Then I sucked it back out with the same syringe. Seems like I sucked out a lot more than I put in. Did I ruin my cartridge. Am I gonna ruin my printer next if I replace this into my printer? signed, dumb dumb impatient.
