This kicks ass and is the best version of the song, Bruce somehow manages to do different versions of his own songs and still keep them interesting and meaningful to the listener. He is an amazing artist and shows no sign of fading into the background now he's in his 60's and i'm sure he'll write some more gems in the years ahead.

he definitely had elvis in mind when he wrote this. he wrote it after hearing a story of how elvis was drunk and shot his tv cause he culdnt find anything that he wanted to watch.
