  • ANTHONY ~ With Very Special Thanks & Best Musical Wishes ~ ANDY Jan 15-12

  • Mr Rawn. You are blowing my socks off with this!

And I've had Mario Lanza's version in my head as the prototype for 45 years

  • RAZZKING ~

"See the silver bird on high . . . " As you know, I'm already a fan of your (splendid) singing!~

And this comment from you (above), this extraordinary compliment, pleases me mightily.

Who among us was not thrilled to hear Lanza's recordings, when we were growing up and he was in his prime!

This rendition of "The Lord's Prayer" was recorded (repeated) immediately following a concert by an engineer who made the annual Mormon Tabernacle Choir CDs.

    So glad you like it!

  • My Grandpa sang this song at his wife's funeral. Every time he sings it it almost makes me cry.

  • GAARA ~

Good to have your have your input ~ especially at age 16!

Now that I'm a Grandpa too, I can tell you tis is one of my personal favorite recordings.

We had just finished a concert, and this piece was one we selected to record over again, moments after the audience left the theater.

We were happy with the evening's program and perhaps that relaxation can be heard in this rendition.

  • Ooooooh Thank you Andy for this spiritual and "sacred" - as you say - moment

I am happy to discover this video on the day of 15 August dedicated to the celebration of the Divine Mother under the name of Mary

Your voice .... wonderful ... gives further impetus and deep to this prayer

    Thank you:))

  • One word. Breathtaking.

  • This is stunningly beautiful and deeply moving. It is the last video I am playing tonight before retiring to bed. Your voice is incredible, and you are such a modest man with it. God bless you.

    Tony.

  • TONY ~

Such a potent and perceptive remark could come only from someone whose involvement with singing is quite special.

Thank You for such a profound observation and yes, modesty is pretty important in today's strange world. I look very much forward to hearing your singing voice ~ please let me know as soon as something is uploaded to You Tube!

  • Andy,

I'll certainly do that. I can't wait to get back into the swing of things. I have recently been singing in Chester, and really enjoyed it. Your encouragement will help me in my ambitions.

    Tony..

  • Tony, Thank you for send this to me...beautiful voice. I too am looking forward to hearing you sing and play!! Maureen

  • I can't wait to 'get back..' It's been too long..

  • Let's have it then!!!

  • It will be very soon.. In the meantime I am glad to have shared Andy's site with you. He is amazing. As for me, I am making sure I get good recording facilities. They are thin on the ground in Matlock, but I shall probably record in Leeds.

    Tony x

  • to you listening to Andy sing here on this site, I truly urge you to buy his recordings. Although the sound and performance is quite good here it pales in comparison to the actual recordings on CD and yesterday I listened to the cd I just received and my oh my was it amazing in every sense of the word from the Ave Maria each song had its own charm that was so exhilaritingly exquisite that to own his recordings is essential to your quest for an instrument of peace and relaxation.

    God bless ANDY

  • T.J.,

Wow ~ in addition to the heartfelt comment, I love your sales pitch on behalf of our CDs ~ thanks! We currently have 5-musical products:

3-CDs: "In Concert" ~ "Italy's Love Songs" ~ "Beautiful Dreamer"

1-DVD: "Andy Rawn, American Basso" ~ and

1-Songbook: Sheet music for 9-Original Songs

One of the things which makes these live-concert recordings so interesting on CD is the expensive microphones! The mics used to record THE LORD'S PRAYER included: Beyer 740 D & AKG C-24.

  • hi Andy, maybe you should send out an e-mail to all your contacts from the President to the secretary at the bank and attract many sales.

    God bless Andy.

  • I would love to purchase these CDs and hope they are available in Ireland. I shall have to make enquiries...his voice is absolutely beautiful!!!

  • MAUREEN ~

What a pleasure, and privilege, to hear from such a sensitive & beautiful singer as you!

Per your comment, the CD which includes this Prayer is entitled: "In Concert" ~ just send your address.

It might be fun, profitable & meaningful to promote and share a concert together in Old Ireland.

Do you have a Booking Agent there who would enjoy setting up either one concert or short tour for us?

  • God Bless You...Truly Beautiful! This is my favorite piece to sing for weddings and or funerals. I have been fortunate enough to be asked to sing it 17 times so far... but I don't think it can Ever get Old. I love your rich golden tone. So effortless sounding.. Rich...seasoned.... mellow... Truly a pleasure. God Bless!

  • BIGTUBE ~

Glad to have you share your thoughts as a singer. Yes, there is something about Malotte's easy-rolling chords in this elegant piece which makes singing it a very personal experience every time ~ delighted you like my rendition!

Are you a bass, tenor or tenor? What are your musical goals?

    ~ ANDY

  • you had me at the first note, the richness and clarity with depth was and is captivating. Truly beautiful Andy.. God bless your beautiful voice and charisma

Slainte agus beannacht De ort agus do bhean cheile

Good health and the blessings of God be upon you and your wife.

  • T.J. ~

This recording ~ which you may have already received on CD ~ was made immediately following a public recital (on-site) by the same master engineer BILL LIGHTNER who also made the Mormon Tabernacle Choir's seasonal recordings. We had just performed the Malotte arrangement in-concert but decided on this 2nd take after all.

Your exceptionally fine compliment (above) is truly appreciated!

    ~ ANDY

  • wow you have an extremely deep voice man really amazing

  • CHRIS ~

Great to get your interest & input, thanks!

    ~ ANDY

  • SARRASANI ~

Wonderful & sensitive comments ~ Thank You!

This concert performance was recorded by the same engineer who has recorded several of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir CDs.

As a great pianist yourself, you may have noticed how my accompanist (DANKE) made some of his (left-hand) octaves "float" in this rendition.

    ~ ANDY

  • So personal, intelligent and effective use of voice. And so pleasurable channel, Bravo.
