Then when the British came, in order to minimize bureaucratic expenses they established ONE nation from TWO NATIONS.And when the British gave Sri Lanka independence in 1947, they gave the country to the Sinhalese because the Sinhalese happened to be the majority and the Tamils were the MINORITY.
