Joni & Matthew are in the same record company. This song (Joni version) was used as the OST. SEXPHONE. Then, when this song and the film became very very successful at that time, so they decided to create the English version (Matthew version) to impress some non-Thai speakers.

Though the English version has less degree of touchy feeling compared to the original Thai version. By any standard, I must accept that both Joni and Matthew did the great job.

They are my favorites of all time.

The Joni version has its own Thai name as YAK HAI ROO WA RAK THER; which it could be translated to "I want you to know I love you". The meaning of the song in Thai version is totally different from English version.

The female character said WHEN I FALL IN LOVE in English version film - since the Matthew version is produced directly for non-Thai speakers to enjoy the melody of this song, not the original meaning of this song written in Thai.
