  • How much are these birds at pet shops?

  • hilarious!!!!!!!

  • hahaha i showed my umbrella cockatoo cayman this video and he staretd dancing also then he started saying "Im the parot" a bunch of times he also kept sayin "HELLO!"

  • I love these birds. One of my best friends has one and she dances when I play guitar. I actually am learning this song ( that's how I found it lol ;)! ) so maybe dance to it also. In the end good song, good bird , good vid!

  • i love this bird!!!!

  • This may be the coolest video ever

  • Too precious. I want an umbrella but I don't think my neighbors will appreciate the ungodly noises that they make! HAHA! I'll have to wait till my husband and I move again. -sigh-

  • @heather910711 - really, i still dont understand why anyone ever decided make them pets. my guess is they figured they could make some money while sending them somewhere else at the same time. umbrellas typically are very difficult animals to keep, most of the time they are very needy, will bite your ankle if given the chance, will screech until they get their way and demand attention, and you dont even want to think of what they can do to your house, esp any wood.

  • @heather910711 - its not that they are super loud for a bird, its more that they are incessant and capable of making some of the most annoying sounds you will ever hear. try listening to one making screeching noises by chewing the paint of its cage for 2 hours straight(and thats the least annoying). they are more quiet if they only live with one person as they are not competing for attention. they do funny things but are referred to as velcro birds for a reason.

  • @heather910711 - and you will most likely be bitten by it on occasion, unless you have very fast reflexes or never let it out. it might have periodic obsessions with inanimate objects or places, flash lights, open drawers, closets, alarm clocks. try keeping it on a perch when all it wants to do for a month is chew on the alarm clock or run under your bed because he saw a flashlight under there at some point. even wearing new glasses might get you bitten on the nose if not careful

  • so cute

  • 5:18 it's like: oh my...time to dance!! :D love it hahaha

  • 2:15 - 2:25 LEGEND

  • he is a cam ham for sure

  • This made my day.

  • Love this video. I have a female umbrella. Not a show off but sweet.

You bird is cool. I had a male years ago that liked to dance.

Billy idol is perfect for this bird.

  • LOL hes trying to fly

  • Too cute! Adorable U2!

  • I whip my hair back and forth

  • My stepfather once told me that animals don't have emotions. I'd have liked to have shown him this video.

    :D

  • My bird likes the songs off of commercials and she likes the old techno=)

  • I have a video of my cockatoo getting pretty with my hair dryer and he goes crazy over it you have to check it out!

  • What a great bird. With all those beautiful feathers he reminds me of a Vegas showgirl! Ha! You can tell he's the apple of your eye.

  • Such a happy bird! Its almost like he choreographed this !

  • Such a happy bird!

  • CO COOL!

  • Very cute, I love it :) Though I know a lot of birdies like the hair dryers, be sure that your hair dryer doesn't have teflon in it (most of them do), it can be pretty harmful to your birdy. :)

  • most birds like rock and roll music lol

  • Just to let you know blow dryers contain PTFE which can be quite harmful to your bird.

  • @LittleBella88 Oh, shut up

  • @RustyNailMediaInc If you'd rather throw insults than showing concern for something that can harm someones bird so be it. That just proves what kind of person you are.

  • @LittleBella88 oH SHUT UP

  • @RustyNailMediaInc If you'd rather throw insults than showing concern for something that can harm someones bird so be it. That just proves what kind of person you are.

  • @LittleBella88 shut up is an insult? X-D!

  • He's really enjoying himself! I can see he is one well-loved bird.

  • those birds love to cuddle... such adorable birds!

  • I think its so funny when he turns around at 2:15 XD

  • Wonderfull!! He's a funny lovely funny bird, my umbrella likes to sit on my head while she gets blow dried!!

  • You are so lucky to have such an awesome dude!!!! x x

  • Definite win. 5 stars. I wish I had my Quaker back so he could learn Japanese with me, but he'd probably drive me nuts with how loud he is.

  • OMG I must shut it off ,the cuteness is to much to handle. lol

  • I've never seen a U2 bop his head like that before. Our U2 Angel dances from the feet only. Are you sure that your Zoar-Zoar knows he's a U2 and not a Sulfur Crested Cockatoo? LOL

  • that is the CUTEST cockatoo I have ever seen.

  • so cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Perfect song for a cockatoo lol

  • LOL @ 2:17.

  • Meridianbengals - @2:17, exactly! Best head-banging I've seen in a while. :D

VERY appealing bird. Fun vid. Thanks for the share.

  • Hey! He's great! What a personality!

  • Lol! I love the bit where he sways his head from side to side really fast and how he pauses just long enough to savour the wind in his feathers!

  • My U2 loves the hair dryer after a shower. She expects it immediately after the shower. She whines when I am not fast enough finishing up my shower until I get out the blow dryer.

  • pause at 5:18

  • OMG.too funny..My Too dances too..but now I have to try it with the blow dryer......when she almost fell backwards...OMG the look on her cute little face.....too funny

  • Does he have his own TV? lol

  • Cockatoos are clowns. I love them.

  • your bird is so cute. ^.^

But i was wondering, can birds be potty trained?

  • @Chelbsie Yup, they sure can be potty trained. Our 13 year old Umbrella Cocatoo was potty trained in three hours...12 years ago. He goes on command.

  • @Chelbsie Many large parrots will almost train themselves not to poop on their owners. My umbrella cockatoo will sit on us, go for car rides, etc and will not go until we lift him up and hold him out away from us to go. However, if he isn't on us, or in the car, any other area is fair game, but he has a body language that says he needs to do his business.

  • @Chelbsie I have a parrot, and she is potty trained, she doent make a mess ever. its very cute.

Ps. this bird is amazing <3

  • @Chelbsie yes they can be its hard tho

  • @Chelbsie Yes with much patience they can be.

  • @Chelbsie keep bringing it to a specific spot and telling it to go poop. when it poops in that spot give it a treat and lots of praise, and after a while they will only poop in their cage and wherever you tell them to poop :)

  • @CowieMooCowxo87 - i dont know what bird you have but that would never work for my umbrella, though hes pretty bad. myabe if i gave him a cheeto or french fry every time he crapped but that wouldnt be good

  • @TheFreshPeddler yeah I guess it depends on the type of bird. I have had a molluccan cockatoo who was very well potty trained. if he wasn't in his cage or on one of his stands he wouldn't poop unless you told him it was ok, so he never pooped on any furniture! and a sulphur crested, as well as 2 umbrellas. you could try to find a bird trainer/expert or something to help you. in the meantime praise him when he poops somewhere good and say "no, bad" when he poops elsewhere.

  • @CowieMooCowxo87- its not something i would even think about getting an expert to attempt, though i doubt anyone could train the little bastard lol. he clearly knows what hes supposed to do and not but doesnt care. he doesnt poop on furniture really, just floor or carpet as their instinct is to poop on the ground. usually he will stop attempting if you yell at him early enough. molluccans do tend to be more calm but they all have their own personal tendencies.

  • @CowieMooCowxo87 - plus hes a spoiled rescue bird. he has come along way though. umbrellas def march to the beat of a different drum

  • @Chelbsie super late response, but yes birds can be potty trained. It can sometimes be a risk though because if not done correctly they won't want to go unless told. This causes them to get infections that can sometimes kill them :( I just let mine poop, and make sure I have something under them. Like at the kitchen table I use paper plates under my cockatoo lol

  • @Chelbsie - it might be possible, but would be very difficult considering they can often drop a load every 15 minutes or so and dont respond to any sort of positive or negative reinforcement like a dog would.. im sure the species would play heavily to that as you would have to start with an intelligent species. if you have a cockatoo, you might not even want to try as they just do as they please, mine will sometimes crap on the carpet and laugh about it so he knows but doesnt care

  • @Chelbsie yes actually they can

  • @Chelbsie yes, mine is :)

  • @Chelbsie Of course they can. Mine goes potty on command every time! :) It's actually easier than most dogs.

  • What an AWESOME DANCER!

Lookout Frostie and Snowball, you have some serious competition!

  • I love where he is jumping and nearly falls backwards. He look surprized at himself. great bird.
