Today Ross Brittan who was one half of Ross and Wilson on WABC thirty years ago is now on WOGL in Philadelphia as he is part of their Breakfast Club Morning Drive Show as I listen to it every morning.
@pannoni1 - Point taken, but we were just trying to convey information, not make a graphical statement. One problem with YouTube is that you can't replace your upload without losing the "view" count and all the comments. If we could I might change the font, but what's really awful here is the audio. When this was uploaded YouTube was using a HORRIBLE audio level compressor setting. It makes us cringe, because our original sounds SO much better. They don't use it now, but we'd lose 2 years!
I 3rd that, jam, you were the ones who gave los angeles the chance to give the other big boys a run for the money! as an L.A guy, san diego guy as well, KOST gave those other AC stations what for, and KSON gave those other country guys the walking papers, and showed them right to the door! booya headshot!
@JAMcreative and jwgreek8606, I wonder if the WCOZ ad is to plug the AC format that only lasted one year in Boston. BTW, Ernie Anderson, you will be missed.
At 4:49 to 5:19, did WCAU-FM use a custom package from you guys in that spot? I know that they used "Warp Factor" and bits of "The Flame Thrower", but I am not sure of what package they used in this spot.
The track used for WCAU-FM was a custom, created specifically for that spot. It has never been part of a jingle package. The challenge with that one was that the video was done first, and we had to make the music time out correctly with what was happening on the screen (which is a fun puzzle to solve).
just noticing this, the KDWB commercial bed later came as a production bed on a package called "data seek" done for CKWX.

Trebuchet MS is a poor font choice for a video like this (wasn't designed until 1995!)

What's the title of the jingle for the WMAL 63 music?
AdamJ617 1 year ago
@AdamJ617 The WMAL production bed is from their JAM jingle package "Focal Point."

This is great. So vacuous but still so enthusiastic.

Was that Ronnie de Asis (the voice behind the first commercial in this video, WABC)?

No, the voice-over is Dan Ingram (legendary WABC DJ).

Love the WCOZ promo with the "Best Show" resing!
In fact, when I ordered my first JAM resing around 2 years ago,it was a Best Show resing that I had!

that is Ernie Anderson voicing the WCOZ commercial?
jwgreek8606 3 years ago
Yes, it certainly is. Better known to some as the iconic voice of ABC-TV prime time for many years.
