If you can get a manual Accord, get it. The Accord automatics are horrible. I had a '99 Accord 5spd 4dr 4 cyl, it was amazing. Got with 140k, got rid of it at 160k. That was in a 10 month period, and the only thing it needed other than oil changes, was a clutch due to manufacture defect. I plan on getting a '99 or newer Accord, 5spd, 4cyl again too.

@Tony81489 my jeep wrangler was slipping to, i changed the filter, did a drain and refill, and i used premium gas for about a month. gas had nothing to do with it im sure but it seemed to fix it.

6th gen accords have transmission problems. I had to replace mine ~6 years ago when my family bought a 98 Accord 4dr EX. No problems since then ..thank god.
it might be your fuel injectors. they could be running too rich or too lean. or if not your fuel injectors it might just be vacuum leak or one of your fuel delivery systems isn't really working.
@lackyfirstblood it cud be a few things. either spark plugs,electric problem,fuel line...etc
my nissan had tat problem before and it was the fuel line. it cud still drive but after 1/2 hour it js cut the revs off and sometimes stalled when i tryed to push it. allgood now tho:)

I just bought a 99 yesterday. Even for a 4cyl its amazingly quiet. You should of seen how noisy my last civic was. This thing is so well balanced with the suspension and engine its absolutely amazing. Even with the base model I have is outstanding! Super quiet on the free way and extremely comfortable to ride in. The seats are very well made and its honda quality craftsman ship. The coupe was designed in California and made in the U.S.A.

I was going to one time, it was a 1988 nissan 300zx 5 spd, perfect immaculate condition just needed a new engine. dad was gonna give it to me to fix up if I got into pharmacy school. but he sold it a month before I got my acceptance :/
auto is when you dont have to change gears and the car does it on its own. manual is the stickshift where you change gears and clutch. lots more footwork though. :D
although this comment is 1 month i'm still going to reply. The difference between manual and auto and which is better depends on the type of area you live in. If you live in a city with dense traffic and steep hills. I would highly recommend the automatic. Which is what I've got. However if you live in an area where there isn't much traffic. Go for the manual if you can
i dunno dude, beating on a car that you just started up is super hard on it, i couldn't get a good look at the temperature gauge but if you're running it like that when it's cold you're likely to reduce the engine life drastically. Honda's have punch, but they aren't race cars until you put the wrench time in, or you'll blow it up for sure. One shot like this isn't gonna do it in, I'm not trying to scare you or anything, but for the love of your wallet (repairs, lol) take it easy on the car ;)

becaue not everyone has money to buy a brand new car. i drive a 98 accord and trust me if someone gave me a 2000, or a 2009 i would take it. but i cannot afford to buy it.

I was going to one time, it was a 1988 nissan 300zx 5 spd, perfect immaculate condition just needed a new engine. dad was gonna give it to me to fix up if I got into pharmacy school. but he sold it a month before I got my acceptance :/

O.o are you serious?
auto is when you dont have to change gears and the car does it on its own. manual is the stickshift where you change gears and clutch. lots more footwork though. :D

although this comment is 1 month i'm still going to reply. The difference between manual and auto and which is better depends on the type of area you live in. If you live in a city with dense traffic and steep hills. I would highly recommend the automatic. Which is what I've got. However if you live in an area where there isn't much traffic. Go for the manual if you can

i dunno dude, beating on a car that you just started up is super hard on it, i couldn't get a good look at the temperature gauge but if you're running it like that when it's cold you're likely to reduce the engine life drastically. Honda's have punch, but they aren't race cars until you put the wrench time in, or you'll blow it up for sure. One shot like this isn't gonna do it in, I'm not trying to scare you or anything, but for the love of your wallet (repairs, lol) take it easy on the car ;)

well first of all, that is my sister in the seat, second I'm not trying to "impress" anyone. I do not want to buy this car, I have my own car, you must not have seen my other videos lol. All the cars have been driven and started up regularly and I NEVER rev a car after it's been sitting or cold, I will most often start it then get another clip later of the engine. I agree with you Elite but I know the do's and don'ts of cars haha. My videos are just to show people the cars, not to race them!
